Great experience in this store , I approached a employee on the floor that was working on a project, I ask her for help an she had the biggest smile an took me to couple areas for the tops I ask for , she just started a conversation with me, then she introduced herself, And Wow she was the Manager Rhonda!!! How awesome is that a Manager that had the biggest smile an took me thru the store helping find the top I was looking for!!! Managers like that are are to find! Big Thank you !! The store was very clean an nothing on the floor the fitting room were spotless. I always assume that all forever 21's were dirty , but this one was different!!! This forever 21 is HUGE in comparison to other stores. I remember when it first opened I got lost lol. There is a huge variety of close to choose from. They have about 2 areas to check out but they only open the registers by the front entrance. It is frustrating because the line to purchase can get very long especially during the holidays. read more

Best place to shop inside the mall. It was the first time I went, but wow I was really surprised. It was very organized and there was no clothes on the floor. It was nothing like the discount stores, BUT they had great prices! I found a dress for only $5 on the clearance rack. It was really cute and comfortable. I also saw a regular priced black dress for only $12. What a deal! Now I would prefer to come here instead of those big discount stores. Customer service was amazing. The first girl I asked to help me out went above and beyond. I asked her for a jean jacket that a mannequin had on and she looked everywhere for it. She said they were probably sold out and they aren't allowed to take the clothes off the mannequin. She called the manager and she actually found one. My friend was so happy because it was her size and it was at a great price. The manager helped me look around for other stuff and she was really nice. After this I asked for chokers and they walked me to them instead of just directing me. The third time I asked for a certain type of jean another girl helped me looked for them. They were only $7.50. I don't think I can get cuter and cheaper jeans somewhere else. Last but definitely not least, when I was ready to pay the line went fast. Too fast if you ask me. I didn't feel the wait and I was last in line. They have all these cute things that you can buy at the line and cheap too! I was so distracted looking at them that the line kept going and I was staying behind. When I was finally paying I noticed my son threw my dress out and I looked dumb with nothing. I ended up getting a panda thing to keep my head and ears warm. It is like a beanie without the top part haha. Not sure what they are called. I told her I was going to go back to check if I would find it and there was a huge line again. She said to go right ahead and to come back to the front of the line to pay. She told me to go to her register and just pay. I finally found it after going around in so many circles. There was a longer line, but she saw me and called me over. I payed in seconds and was ready to leave. This was an awesome experience. read more

This was one of my favorite store to shop at in the mall. I take my 2 boys in here they like to shop here as well. One day we where shopping and someone that was working the floor told my kids they couldn't be in the store with hoodies on. I was on the other side of the store looking at two guy with hoodies on and no one was saying anything to them. Cheap clothes and rude employees. The fitting room attendant wouldn't let me in the fitting room with my underage daughter. Made me wait out in the sea of clothes racks and made her uncomfortably walk out into the open half dressed so I could see how a dress fit her rather than allowing me to poke my head in the door. Nothing says self -esteem than making a 12 year old parade around in an ill fitting dress just because you think are queen of the fitting room. She's 12 and I'm her mother. Your "store policies" can kiss my ass. We wouldn't have even been in there if it wasn't to spend a gift card received as a Christmas gift. Feeling obligated to spend it, my daughter walked around after the fitting room incident and sheepishly picked out a few shirts. The cash registers are hard to find. There is one by the mall entrance, but off to the side in a weird place, and one way in the back behind a wall behind the shoes. If there are more they do an excellent job of making sure you can't see them. The employees don't wear name tags and with good reason - so that when you have a complaint about one (or several) of them you can't pick out who was so rude and completely unqualified to be working in retail service. What I can tell you is this: she wore a lanyard with a bright yellow tag that said HEAD CASHIER, she was working at the back cash wrap, she has brown eyes, bra-strap length brown hair with side swept bangs and she was VERY concerned about going to a party tonight. So concerned that she spent the entire 15 minutes it took her to ring up my daughter's two t-shirts talking to her friend in line behind me about who was wearing what to the party later. After HEAD CASHIER and Friend In Line Behind Me were done party planning, she balled up the change (a few dollar bills) from the gift card and handed it to me, not bothering to count it out or even look in my general direction. Then she looked at me and said "Are you sure this is even going to fit? You can't bring it back!" I started to say "Why no as a matter of fact I don't know if they fit because I'm not allowed to go in the fitting room with my daughter..." but only got about 3 syllables out before she started party planning again. We walked the 17 miles from the back register to the mall entrance stepping over at least 6 different piles of clothes on the floor. Employees everywhere and not one could be bothered to clean. Screw this store. Next time the gift card is just going to have to go to waste. read more

I think this Forever 21 store was the only exception to my great experience at the Valley Plaza Mall. This store was pretty messy and not very well setup. I don't want to say it was badly organized because it was organized the way it is for that reason but it wasn't very intuitive. There weren't like ... dresses here and coats here, they were all mixed together and not necessarily by color or some specific theme. The staff wasn't helpful because they were understaffed and they were just trying to keep the order. Kind of meh. read more

Honestly, the store is good like any Forever 21 usually is! It has many great selections and usually I enjoy my experience and purchasing trending clothes! I will still go to Forever 21 in Los Angeles but I won't ever come here again! On my latest trip, the cashier made me very uncomfortable! I guess I have to just remind myself never let my husband and I to get close and keep it platonic! She seemed to be flirting with my husband and all I wanted to do was get my clothes and leave! He is obtuse so he didn't understand anyway but I saw through it! Lady, that is NOT professional and he is WAY older than you and could be your dad!! I just never thought I would need to worry about people at a store! We aren't really rich so I don't know what she wanted except to flirt but it's still just not appropriate behavior of a cashier or guest service attendant! In the future, you may want to teach your cashiers how to be respectful especially flirting with a married man is not right!! We won't be back here though!! I REALLY like this store, so I come here pretty often. They have EVERYTHING ; every color in a variety of styles, shoes, clothes, jewelry, various accessories, makeup, candy/snacks, you name it. You can always find something to wear whether you want to dress up formal or dress down to casual or pajamas. They also have petite to plus sizes, and men and children clothes so no one is left out. There are multiple clearance racks so there's always a sale and you're guaranteed to find a bargain whenever you shop here. Customer service is usually pretty good too. This is certainly the largest Forever 21 store that I've ever seen, having replaced one of the anchor tenants at the mall. I must admit to a certain amount of ambivalence when it comes to the whole Forever 21 experience. I have friends who always dress beautifully and stylishly that say a good portion of their clothes come from Forever 21, yet whenever I'm there I have a hard time finding something that I like and usually leave empty handed. Maybe it is just the fact that the store is just so large that the whole idea of finding something that I like, in the right size and color, that actually fits and looks good on me is just too daunting. Or maybe it's just bad luck, or the fact that I've never really figured out how the store is organized so I wander around aimlessly not really getting together the motivation to actually try something on. I must admit I have enjoyed making fun of the store on occasions. Whatever empty-handed streak I've been on was broken this past weekend when my friend convinced me to make a trip here to try to find a black blazer at 8:50 pm on a Saturday night, ten minutes before the mall closed. She, unfortunately, found her search fruitless. I, on the other hand, left with a whole armful of cute, really cheap, tops in all different colors that will be perfect to wear under my dance tops. I even found some earrings and lip gloss to go with everything and all at incredibly cheap prices. Forever 21, for those who are unacquainted with it, carries colorful fashion forward clothing, jewelry, and cosmetics all at cheap prices. A lot of it is trendy and designed to appeal to those who wish they were 21 again, or that haven't quite reached that "advanced age" yet. Forever 21? Hell, I'd be thrilled to spend a few years back at 31 or even 41. I wouldn't trade the wisdom I've gained in those ensuing years, but that doesn't mean I can't occasionally dress a little younger than I am. I used to like shopping here with my daughter,but now there's usually clothes all over the floor & the associates are so rude,it seems like their just hiring any rude person who walks in to apply now,we were waiting in line & there was a group of them talking in the corner & just looking at us,than to our surprise which we didn't notice one called from the register very rudely might I add"Are you ready to check out"???!!!& than we had a gift card & she gave it back to us saying we have to scratch it & do this & the whole time another worker to left corner of us just looking at us like she wants to fight us or something.The cashier had such an attitude there was no hello did you find everything okay or even thank you or have a good day & than she basically gave us our bag and said"Okay,here you go"& that was it worst customer see I've had in a long time,very sad read more

This is a HUGE Forever 21. I've been in the relatively small ones before, but this store contains all of their typical clothing + their "side venture" labels (Heritage 1981, Twelve by Twelve)! I know, you're probably saying: "What? In Bakersfield? Are you serious?" Yes, I'm serious. Like Sunmi said, though, their clothes tend to fall apart after several washes. Toss the lighter shirts in the delicate wash cycle, and they should be fine, but if you have anything with sequins or glitter on it- yeah, they won't last very long. You're better off hand-washing those items. But that doesn't mean everything isn't long-lasting. I have a beautiful dress that I bought there for a mere 30$ that is still crisp, bright white (with dark black details), and lovely after multiple wears and three years of being worn to various events. The downers: The employees seem to be on-and-off when it comes to helping you out. Some seem to be very friendly, offering advice and service when you're looking to try on clothes. Others look you over, and then give you flippant attitude. Also, it can be pretty crowded on typical "shopping days" like the weekends and after the school hours on weekdays. Clothes also run VERY small- I typically can fit into children's sizes, but at Forever 21, I'm not even an XS in their pants! :\ It's a fun place to go if you've got 50$ to spare- it's not a thrift shop, but it's pretty dang cheap as far as designer digs go. I'd compare it to American Apparel in style, but Old Navy in price. read more

I'm going to refrain from bashing the Valley Plaza on this review. Shocking, eh? I was impressed by this new Forever 21. The sales floor was huge and the sales associates were friendly. In my 30 minutes in the store, I was approached by three associates asking if I needed help AND...get this...the store was clean! The displays were folded and the racks were uncluttered. I've never seen a Forever 21 like this before (probably because I haven't been in one since I was in high school). From my memory, Forever 21 sells cheaply made versions of trendy clothes at cheap prices - the target market is teens and young adults. The clothes there are usually good for a weekend or two at the club and fall apart after that. Some of that hasn't changed - I found some good old polyester stretch dresses that were worthy of a few hours at an 18+ club. However, there were some items from their offshoot brands that were very wearable. I found some shrugs and jackets that helped convert my summer dresses to winter dresses. They were decently priced at about $20 to $30 each. All I have to do is throw on a jacket and trade in my sandals for tights and boots and I've just expanded my winter wardrobe! I have to warn that these items weren't an easy find and I had to spend about 20 minutes in the store before I found something I would consider wearing. However, if you have the patience to wander the store, you can find some great pieces to supplement your wardrobe. I would refrain from buying everyday clothes here - I think the quality hasn't improved enough for that. read more

This is the largest store I've ever been too and I'm glad I trekked it over here. I was staying in Wasco and totally needed to purchase a new outfit last minute, so I made the trip around 8:00 p.m. This store I can easily spend hours browsing through everything, my boyfriend's worst nightmare (lol). But this day I had to purchase a new outfit quickly and drive back to Wasco. They're plenty of cashiers but they're so slow chit chatting with each other rather than ringing up customers. read more

I don't usually like going to the mall, but I definitely like the fact that Forever 21 is in a big dept. building so now you can enter through one of its own entrances. The down side to it being a big dept store now is that ITS SOOO HUGE! Its almost over whelming. But I do enjoy the fact that they have a huge selection of clothes shop through. read more

I always find good clothing for good prices. Plus size section has so many selections compared to other stores. I tried to look for some shorts that I saw online at the store. I asked a sales floor associate and he pretended to look for a little bit before directing me to the people that had computers at the check out line. Have you seen the size of the line on weekends? I patiently waited and the lady at the check out desk promptly asked "have you checked the shorts section?" Um YES, I have. Thank you for asking. She then finally looked it up on the system and said there was only 1 left in stock. Too many young females working here. They Stare too much and give you too much attitude..no associate EVER knows where anything is at. How can you work at a store and not be familiar with the merchandise you're selling. Way too overpriced for clothes. Jeans are made so dumb, for women with no butt. They should carry an extra small cause the smalls are still loose fitting on petite women like me. Jewelry is ridiculously overpriced as if you're at Zales or something. I've been to this store a lot and am hardly ever greeted. Never enough cashier's so you wait in line for about 5 years. It's been so many times I've put items back and walked out cause of the wait. They need to focus on customer service skills. They switched so many managers and you have to wonder why. read more

Whoever was working fitting room Jan 28, 2016 should not be allowed to work in retail. She was rude as hell. Saw me coming to fitting room from about 20 yards away and YELLED "fitting room is closed!" The tone she used indicated that she was bothered by the fact that someone would even dare go to the fitting room right now. Yes, I understand it's 20 til 9, but damn at least wait until you can use your indoor voice to tell me politely, "I'm sorry the fitting room is closed." People here should get a lecture or two on customer service. There will be one or two nice associates on the floor, but for the most part they are snotty, overly done up individuals (dudes included) that parade around like it's a fashion show and could care less. read more

I needed to find a new outfit for a job interview and had been wandering around the store for a good 30 minutes completely overwhelmed. I noticed an employee that had good fashion sense and asked for help. So this 5-Star Yelp goes out to Eli who did an amazing job finding me the perfect outfit for my interview and also another outfit just because I loved it. This is the place for cheap, in-style clothes. This is the first place I go when I don't have much to spend but need something cute. But don't expect the clothes to last, there is a reason why the clothes are cheap. Especially this time of the year (wedding season) I can't afford the dresses sold at boutiques that costs 200 to 300. Plus I am the type of person who doesn't normally wear the same dress more than once to an event. The downside to shopping here is that you don't get special treatments from the salespeople, the fitting rooms are nasty and that there are just too many clothes for you to go through before you find something you like. One other thing I don't like is that you can never get your money back on the items you return. Everything you buy is returned to you in a form of store credit. Not a big deal since I will eventually come back to buy something else, but still it's nice to get money or credit back. read more

This is by far the biggest F21 I've ever been in! Really there is so much to choose from. You could easily spend 3 hours in this store. The selection is great and the prices are so reasonable!!! They have a few dressing rooms and plenty of registers open!!! I don't even shop at the San Diego locations anymore because SD's selection doesn't come close to this stores selection. read more

I love coming here, just love it. You never know what you are going to find. They have a large selection of clothing and accessories. The only thing that bothers me is that things are not organized in a way that would easily facilitate you finding something you saw online very easily. Staff is pretty helpful and will help you find stuff, but I only ask if there is a special something I want to find. I can't ask them to hunt down 20 different things I saw online. I most recently went in there to find some shoes I found online. I wasn't able to find my size in the store and was reluctant to just order them online without first trying them on. It would be nice if you could order things in the store or online and have them delivered to the store. read more

I've never had a bad experience at this store and I shop here a lot. I'm not always helped but I actually prefer it that way. As a dysfunctional shopper I'm always disappointed with clothes shopping. I get overwhlemed and can never find what I an looking for!..untill I went to Forever 21. I was greated as soon as I walked in and was asked if I needed help. I told the young man what I wanted and he took me right to the area and picked out exctally what I wanted. For me however, as I was trekking through realized I'm too old for all this, I learned I don't have the patience to look at all the different articles of clothing especially when it doesn't seem to be organized any certain way. This is hands down and surprisingly the best Forever 21 I have been to in California. Some Forever 21 stores are tiny and cramped and downright messes with disgruntled employees and bizarro fashions that only a deranged five year old could love. Not this one! This one is spacious, and organized, showcasing a variety of trends ranging from classic to edgy to playful. The employees cheerily offer to start a dressing room for you and then proceed to relieve you of the thirty pounds of accumulated clothing hanging from your poor withered arm. I only wish their merch weren't made by infants in Guatemala but those infants actually have better craftpersonship than the hipsters making American Apparel in Los Angeles so hey! Until I can afford more socially-conscientious purchases, it's Bakersfield F21 (and Goodwill) for me. read more

I have NEVER seen the store in such a disarray; everything is blended, and I mean everything. The t stands and s shaped racks are a joke and so are the walls. There's no point in having different "girls," because everything is everywhere. You can't even tell that the rooms have their own concepts. The sale room... I don't even have words to describe the sale room. The entire store looks like it was hit by a tornado. I'm not sure who the store manager is, or any of the managers for that matter, but they are definitely not doing their job. This is the WORST I have ever seen the store... Clothes here vary in fashion for women and men. As I've gotten more mature, I've realized that crop tops and spandex booty shorts won't cut it in the work world, but love that Forever 21 expanded, not only it's space in the mall, but it's merchandise as well. I'll admit I often grow weary and tired, never making it to various sections of the store before I call out an SOS. ITS THAT BIG. And somewhat overwhelming. I'm still unsure why they have so many dressing rooms when only one is ever open (and yes, it's the farthest one from you and your two arms that are about to fall off from hanger overload). My reason for actually taking the time to review this store today, after several trips throughout my youth, is because of an employee. Catherine was working the dressing today and was just full of joy, charisma and amazing customer service that bragging to the gal at the front register wasn't enough. Thanks Catherine! I love their selection, and that they have a plus sized area! A lot of stores don't have many cute plus sized clothes (at a good price). The only thing that I could possibly complain about is that the plus sized area isn't very big, but either way it's more than most stores have and I'll take what I can get. :) read more

As usual, this store has a wide range of clothes for relatively cheap prices. However, they aren't known for their good customer service. Yesterday, I spent two hours shopping in the store until closing. I waited 30 minutes in line because they were experiencing a corporate wide computer crash. The computers came back up for about 5 minutes, just long enough for my clothes to be scanned and my pin number for my debit card to be entered. The computers crashed AGAIN! I waited another 15 minutes just for the manager to come out and say that they would only be accepting cash and if I didn't have any, then I needed to come back the next morning. There was no way I was going to go to the ATM and come back just to spend who knows how long in the ridiculously long line just to have my clothes rung up again. Awesome way to waste over 2 hours. read more
