My brother John H , age 74, has been at the Laconia Facility for over 2 years he has diabetes and…read morehas received very good care. I live 800 miles away in the Alexandria Va area and stay in close contact with both John and the Laconia personnel that manage the facility and nurses that attend to John's direct medical care. I was concerned during the COVID period with some of the stories we heard about nursing homes ; but , Laconia did a great job of keeping people safe (both residents and staff). Laconia had good procedures in place and required that everyone follow them. John had some medical problems that he needed treatment for and the nurses would call me and let me know when things changed. On occasions when Laconia staff felt John should be seen at a hospital they would call me , and have him transported to the hospital. Laconia management would let the hospital know that I, as a family member, would likely be calling to check on John. I would call the hospital and with Laconia help ,developed a working relationship with the hospital staff and treating doctors. With regard to care I was very satisfied with the care John got , the Laconia nurses would follow closely what the hospital doctor would put in place. The Laconia procedures allowed for good discussions between myself, John, the Laconia nurses, and staff. Laconia also initiated Zoom calls which I was ask to participate in and did , so I could see the care givers , my brother and his progress. My impression of staff is very favorable. However; all large health care organizations need a mix of experienced people and young entry level people often ask to do menial tasks. Some of this group have not yet developed favorable communication skills. My brother had a problem with one entry level person , we discussed it with the Laconia management and it was immediately corrected. Many staff members have been there a long time and are both knowledgeable and dedicated and very easy to work with. William H

Everyone was friendly, helpful and quick to respond to a cry for help. The hospital is immaculate and kept clean by a staff of friendly custodians who take time to ask how you, the patient, are doing. The food was not great, but who expects great food at a hospital. The beds were not comfortable. For these reasons I give the hospital a 4. Thanks for taking care of me during a hard time in my life!

This is how we got bamboozled . After rehab our father had to go into assisted living and that's when it all went to hell . Same floor but you walk through the doors and the care changes dramatically. The lack of care and compassion is astonishing. The upper management is atrocious and takes no accountability . We really wanted to make it work but our father was neglected, dirty , covered in sores and the list goes on .Their LNA's and PCA's that actually care for your loved one are expected to also clean their rooms and do all meals . When is there time to care for your parent ? The answer is very little . They are asked to do so much with only 2 of them on the floor, no wonder your loved one isn't getting care or attention. Care plan meetings are a joke where they pretend like they actually care but then there is no follow through or communication. The people in charge of the care plans are the worst because they actually no NOTHING about your loved one and no one reads their chart .They were giving unauthorized medication to my father and when we asked about it they stated "We are not giving it to him it's just on the list ". Come to find out that was a lie and they were giving it to him after we specifically said that was not our wishes multiple times . If you love your parent DO NOT send them here for assisted living, they will suffer .

She received exceptional care from all of the staff. The ReHab services were exactly what she needed. The Food was great. The Staff always went the extra mile to make sure that my wife's needs were met. Courteous and professional, they were exceptional. I immediately remembered why I swore to never come hete again. My doctor was inexperienced. I aas diagnosed with shingles. My skin wasn't examined. She looked from a few feet away and after I told her how it started, she backed away and said "That's definitely shingles!" Shingles, Doc, not leprosy. Today I called ClearChoise MD because I am in a lot of unexpected pain. They say, in order for the doctor presently on duty to prescribe anything, I'd need to come back in for him to examine me. I don't have another $160 when all my info from yesterday's exam is on file. Receptionist then tells me they don't prescribe narcotics, "so I don't know what you expect him to do for you". Unbelievable. If you cannot treat a person for what they go in for, then why would you take $160 from them knowing this. And in the type of care they offer it does say they treat any skin rash. In my opinion, treatment means helping the person get better for the illness at hand, not just sending one prescription out, not asking any questions about Pain or give advice on pain management. Clear Choise my ass. I am hoping to hear from the provider who is in today, to see how this continues.

Every time we've been there it has been a good experience from the time that we arrived to the time that we were discharged. The staff was kind, professional, and efficient in treating us. The hospital is exceptionally clean and up to date. It is a small community hospital, but I felt that we were well taken care of. JR-T

I get that the have to take the more important patients first but seriously the lack of support they have there is insane , instead of bringing me back into an actually hospital bed room I was sat in a triage , and I know they had rooms because I saw atleast 4 kids being put in a hospital room while I sat there uncomfortably at 1:00 am not being seen in time I ended up leaving because my pain was so bad and at this point it was already 2:00 am and wasn't seen at all yet , this place fucking sucks and I recommend that you just stay home from you're pain instead of going to the emergency room where you won't be cared for at all . Screw that place shut down if you can't care for somebody within 4 hours
