Carpeted halls that look and smell like they have not been cleaned since the place was built. The rooms are Dingy, Very Old Style, Floors are sticky, everything is dirty, dusty. Awful place for someone to stay for and hour never mind a lifetime. The meal service is very strange and a awful process. Food is brought up in elevator then it sits in the hall in carts for 40-60 minutes. Takes 1-2 hours to serve Residents one at a time. They are left alone to feed themselves because there is not enough staff to feed them. It's pitiful to watch. You can tell the Staff is under paid and they do not like working in this environment but don't have much choice. You enter on main level and everything looks great. Maybe the Health and Human Services do not go upstairs, if they do there either oblivious or mislead. Certainly don't go on weekends.

We hired home care workers to provide meal preparation and driving services and generally assure that my relative was safe. His condition was deteriorating but he wanted to maintain as much independence as possible and be in places he loved. But we received far more than that. Workers responded to his desire to 'explore' the area and look for new places to sit each day. She helped him move residences. We received comprehensive reports of the visits on the family home site; listening to a description of his day and changes in his condition was helpful in deciding how to proceed with care. We received phone calls when there was a concern that the workers thought needed to be addressed quickly. Phone calls often lasted for 30 minutes. Heather was willing to deal with several different members of our family. She responded quickly to emails from the family.With great skill, she communicated when she thought additional assistance was needed, when John's condition was changing, when she thought he needed a different level of care. Heather cared about and respected John And I am confident he knew that and benefitted from the sense of being treated like a person, not a patient. She was our eyes -- and we got 20/20 help. I cannot find words to thank her or to recommend her. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Heather and team.

I have had the WORST experience with them. They get 1 star for the fact that the care giver is…read morenice, and responsible. But the office and management has screwed up every single thing since the first discussion. So instead of making me feel supported, they've made my life more complicated and frustrating. They screwed up the initial consultation, the initial evaluation, the way to talk to my parents, the paperwork, the billing, the communication within the office as to what's needed. And when I finally got a care giver (1 month after our signing the paperwork) and I thought, "great, now I can just deal with them directly." TLC said no, please call us to approve any changes. There were no changes. More miscommunication. And as you can see, I'm incredibly direct in how I communicate. They don't listen. They don't communicate within the office (case-in-point: I JUST got off the phone with TLC now, and someone from TLC called me 2 minutes later to have the identical discussion because she didn't know I'd just talked to someone). I'm done.
