I have stopped going to Forestream Dental for about 6 years now, and finally decided to write a review because, even after all this time, I still have the numerous holes they drilled into my teeth as a frequent reminder of my experience with them. My experience is very consistent with the two reviews above. I don't usually write reviews, but feel strongly about this one.
After moving to the area, I picked this dentist based on reviews that I found on web pages they promote (yes, I know that was not wise). I am very diligent about dental hygiene and prior to going to Dr. Evola, I hadn't had a cavity in over a decade.
At every cleaning appointment I had at Forestream (probably about 4 or 5 of these appointments before I called it quits), they would "find" at least 1 to 2 cavities and very much pressured me into getting them fixed right then and there, while I was still on the chair. Holes were drilled into my teeth and fillings put in to fix all of these apparent cavities. Meanwhile nothing had changed about my dental hygiene habits (floss every day, brush teeth multiple times per day, mouthwash every night, etc.), so I found it very strange that all of the sudden, I started getting 1 to 2 cavities every 6 months. Finally, I decided to switch dentists.
I have been seeing another (completely unassociated) dentist since I left Forestream 6 years ago and have not had one single cavity since I made the switch. So you do the math and reach your own conclusion. I had no cavities in over a decade while seeing other dentists (and I have always diligently gone to a dentist twice a year for cleanings). I then (allegedly) had about 8 cavities (1 to 2 new cavities every 6 months) in only 2 to 2.5 years of seeing Dr. Evola. After I left Dr. Evola, I have had no cavities for 6 years and still counting.
I would love to state my opinion of this dentist and this dental practice here, but I will let the facts speak for themselves. read more
