Because the park was a little off the beaten path, it wasn't super crowded. Everything was clean and in good working condition. All of the other families utilizing the park during our visits were kind, and everything felt very safe. Appreciated the large parking lot and the easy access from I-77. Whether you're a local or just passing through the area, this park makes a great place for the kiddos to burn off some energy and enjoy themselves.

Not a whole bunch of shaded areas on playground, and you can smell the dumpsters really strongly in the heat, as they are right at entrance of playground. The York Recreational Complex has five lighted ball fields, lighted walking trails, picnic shelters, horseshoe pits and a playground. Two of the baseball fields were active when I stopped by and while the players looked to be socially distancing, many of the spectators were not. There is lots and lots of parking. The park is a great option once the McDowell Nature Preserves park and playground closes. You can quickly head over to the Palisades park and let the kids finish playing. That's exactly what some friends and myself did. The playground equipment is very modern with an old school rocking horse available for smaller kids. I was very impressed by the different pieces of playground equipment. I believe it's ideal to go to this park when school isn't in session because the playground equipment is used by the school.
