You really can't beat their prices, especially compared to the dealership. Service is always friendly and fast and I love supporting a small, local business in my neighborhood. The waiting area is nothing special and they are pretty old school with receipts/checkouts. However they are organized and give you a call right when your service is done or parts are in.

I used to always go to NTB at the corner of Warrensville Center and Mayfield, but they demonstrated total incompetence one too many times. So, I went to Enger's Goodyear, a stone's throw away, and despite the fact that they were not busy and didn't close for more than 2 more hours, they told me they'd take me on an appointment - tomorrow. I needed tire lovin' TODAY. After making a snide comment about not wanting my money, I vaguely remembered a shady looking tire joint at South Green and Monticello. I rolled in at ten 'til close and asked the guy if he could help me out. In the good ol' American entrepreneurial spirit, he was happy to take my money and do an excellent job. They even loaded my freshly mounted wheel/tire combos into the back of my friend's truck for me. The guy that owns the place told me the price, or should I say SUGGESTED a price, and asked if I thought it was fair. Having had this same service performed twice a year for several years at NTB, I felt that it was more than fair. I even got to have a nice conversation with the owner about cars and other bullshit before I left, completely satisfied.

I knew I was in trouble when the woman at the counter immediately gave me an attitude and said "What did you do? Drive it on a flat?" No lady...I just drove the car, the way I'm supposed to. The owner comes out and looks at it and says there wasn't enough tire on the rim to tell what caused it, but that's because it blew and was all over the highway. Long story short, they will not cover my 10 day old tire. My only recourse is to save other people from the these shoddy work practices and "cash only" transactions.

I was in a tight spot financially and…read moreso I sought recommendations online for a mechanic that was both honest and that did quality work. 3 reviews came up and I felt that Mike's Service Station sounded the best. Once I gave Mike the information on the car, I began walking home knowing it would be at minimum an hour or so to fix the issue which according to initial diagnostics, appeared to be a bad starter motor. I was no more than half way home and my phone rings. My car was ready! How could that be? It turned to be a piece of plastic that should have been removed when the battery was installed .... 3 YEARS AGO! I should never have been able to drive the car with that piece of hard plastic on the positive terminal and I've been to mechanics who would have taken advantage of the situation. Not Mike! Talk about honest! He didn't charge me anything even to look at it. I must have some hard working angels. I offered to pay something for his time but he refused. I wonder what was going through his head like if another person is inside this office then they may use .000010 cents worth of the AC. I mean that is what I was thinking he must of been thinking otherwise he is just an arrogant and rude person. They didn't provide the service I was hoping for so can't say if they are good or not but by the owners vibe I wouldn't recommend.
