They are moving in a month so be sure to call them first if you plan to stop by in the next 2 weeks or so. Read the website on where to park. I went to the wrong entrance and parked at B instead. You can pay virtually by scanning the QR code after you park. Even if you don't know where to go, just make sure you get into the elevator and ask security. I got better rate today than yesterday. Two women were working the front desk today and they are nice and helpful. I do think FCE gives the best exchange rate but if you want to skip coming to DTLA and traffic, perhaps exchange with your local bank. Depends on what you want to deal with. Can't wait to see their new location. read more

Excellent service. Quick & friendly. Best to call ahead of time to let them know what you're looking for. I've used them several times. New location, inside the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, pics included. read more

The exchange rate is really good here. It was more competitive than other places. I haven't check the rate using ATM overseas but I will still recommend this place. read more

Always swift and friendly! They've moved to their new location at the Westin Bonaventure bldg. LOBBY level. Here are the deets: Parking: parking entrance is on Flower St. and it's valet only. Tell the attendant that you're going in for currency exchange and they'll tell you to leave your car and come back with the ticket validated. FCE validates for $3. So chill at the lobby if you want. You're covered for 90 mins. You could also see if there's a space near the drop-off. Tell the attendants the same and at that point, it's a 50/50 chance they'll let you temporarily park out or not. Always call or message in advance Location: from the escalator, find the lake view bistro. FCE is right next to it (across the RED TOWER elevator). read more

Once again I'll say it, these guys are the best, and they always come through for me, even at the last minute, A-1

My third time here. Always call to check rates and availability. They're truly friendly and quite fast. PARKING: **ENTER THROUGH FIGUEROA ONLY** for FREE PARKING under 12 mins (then $2 for every 12 minutes). Bring your parking ticket to validate. read more

Called earlier to ask about their exchange rate and it was very competitive! The representative asked what currency I wanted to exchange and that he'd have it ready for me. When I arrived, it was ready! The whole transaction took five minutes! Plus, he was ver professional and polite! Will definitely use them again! read more

I have used this place 3x now, I usually call ahead one day when I have to get something that's a little bit more exotic (New Zealand dollars for example), and then I get it the next day and it's all ready for me. It works very smoothly and their exchange rate is competitive. I have been lucky and since they moved to be inside the hotel, I have been able to just park at the valet really quickly to run in and it's a quick transaction. read more

Quick and easy! in and out in 15 min. Located inside a hotel the valet was nice enough to let me park while I quickly went inside. Good exchange rates read more

My go-to currency exchange. Rates are the best in town or at least highly competitive. Service is friendly and efficient, and hours are convenient. read more

Fast reply, best rates, great service, ALWAYS! We've been going to Foreign Currency Express for a few years whenever we need currency to travel abroad. I personally recommend FCE because of the accolades I mentioned above. read more

Whenever we need to get foreign currency for traveling abroad, we like to go here. We are able to call ahead to get the rates and also reserve the amount we want to exchange. The rates have always been pretty good and even higher than some other currency exchange places. (Although I just heard from a source, but haven't verified, that Bank of America offers the same rates.) This place is located in the LA Downtown World Trade Center. I recommend going with someone so that they can park and wait down in the underground lot. It is usually quick, especially if you are a former customer and they have your ID on file. read more

Although it is difficult to find this location kinda hidden in what appears to be a semi abandoned office structure, it was easy and quick to obtain needed Euros for my trip. They buy back also. Buy rates seemed competitive and better than what I saw at the airport. read more

Stopped by here today to grab some Euros and it was quick and easy. The lady working the window is sweet and friendly. She works fast and efficiently. Definitely going to return her for more foreign currency. read more

Best rate exchanging USD to JPY...better than any of the top banks. Friendly and quick service. Glad they close by my office!

Love that they are in the Bonaventure hotel now. The process is super easy and they have Great rates and experience!

Simple no frills establishment. I've come here over a handful of times already and will continue to do so as long as I live on the east side. Your best bet is to call first to check rates and reserve what you need. Then you can drive over, park in the garage off Figueroa, take the elevator to level 1, pick up your currency and boom - one less thing to worry about before your trip :) Parking has always been free/validated for me. Everyone I've encountered is super pleasant, highly recommend! read more

Super quick and sweet lady! Very helpful and flexible with my preferences to keep it organized. A little hard to get to but it's in the first floor once you take the elevator and to the right read more

Best exchange rate in town. Super fast service. Will stick with them for future currency exchange needs.

Great rates!!! Great customer service. Only thing is the building is a little creepy other than that everything went great!

Everything you read on the reviews is true. Their service is super quick and friendly. I was in and out in less than 7 minutes. Make sure you know where the correct garage entrance is so that you can get it validated. It's free with validation for up to 10-15 minutes, can't recall. I would also recommend calling ahead to make sure they have enough of the currency you're looking to exchange! read more

They care a lot about their clients- I had two amazing experiences here. Straight to the point and no fees. They stayed open later for me before, and provide great service. Get your parking ticket validated. read more

The best prices on the Yen compared to several places. Parking and entrance was a bit confusing though.

Lady is always nice in there parking isn't the best , especially during weekdays but this spot has been here forever read more

Great rates great service very helpful and quick couldn't recommend this more! Parking is a bit tricky but they'll validate if you do it right read more

They offer the best rate around the area, easy and simple to work with! I suggest calling in ahead of time or earlier the day of to ask about the daily sell/buy rate or to check if they have enough of the currency you're looking to exchange. Parking is a little tricky bc if you enter through the Flower Street entrance they do not validate for it, I believe it is only the Figueroa one. read more

They don't give you small bill, until you beg for it. Even though she promised me I can get small bill, but after I got there. She just simply said, you can change later over there when you get at your destination. Such a shame. I need to beg for small bills. I will not go back to this place, it's humiliating!! read more

This place was great in handling my transaction. The exchange rate was very good. The customer service was very accommodating. Downtown LA is always tricky, but the parking in the garage was pretty easy. I appreciate how the business validates which is VERY rare in downtown LA. I will be using them again on my next foreign trip. read more

Reliable, friendly and efficient! I waited until the last minute to get some Mexican currency for my trip and called ahead of time to make sure they had the amount. Foreign Currency Express - Currency Exchange Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I was looking for a money exchange place really last minute. I was recommended another location by pershing square however, looking at the rates at that location I was not convinced. I yelped the best foreign currency exchange places and this is where I found this location. I called ahead to check the rate and see if they had the amount I needed there. The lady on the phone was really nice and she said I could come in since they did have the amount and the exchange rate was really good. I arrived 15 min later, there were no other customers there so it was really quick. I was out in less than 10min. The parking structure is really easy to find and they validate the parking. Since the first 10 min are free the lady validated my ticket when I got there and she told me to go to the pay station which is a short walk. I went to the pay station while she got the money and I didn't have to pay anything for parking. I highly recommend this place! read more

They really have the best exchange rate, and they are very friendly and helpful with the parking, too. Highly recommend this business!

Best exchange rate so far. Located on the first floor and validated parking in the building with an entrance on the Figueroa side only.

This was so quick and easy. I just wanted a small amount of Canadian cash in specific denominations, and it was no problem. The exchange rate was great. They're easy to find in the lobby of the World Trade Center building on Figueroa. If you park in the lot entering from Figueroa, the first 12 minutes are free, and I was in and out of there in less time than that. Note they don't do credit or debit cards, it's only cash for cash. read more

I've used FCE twice. It's been easy to email them with my request and I usually get a response within a day. The first time I used them there was actually a small problem. The person who was supposed to work called in sick. But they were nice enough to arrange something with one of their contacts in the area and referred me to them. That was complete professionalism. I was so impressed. Parking in the area can be tricky. You can try street parking but it is limited. Parking in the World Trade Center is the better option. Take your ticket with you and you can pay FCE directly ($2 or $3) and you have about 10 minutes to exit. Honestly, I can't imagine using anyone else for currency exchange. read more

I am always happy to stop in here because they are so friendly and efficient. I would give five stars if parking wasn't an issue. They do validate for a reduced price, but it isn't free. It's about a ten to fifteen minute walk from the seventh street metro center. Enter the parking structure through the car entrance even if you are walking because there are no exterior doors from the street. Then take the elevator from *C to level 1 and their office is just around the corner to the left. I like to call ahead to be sure they have the currency that I need before I make the trip, but it has never been an issue. They are genuinely very friendly! read more

Best location to exchange any and all monies! Conveniently located in the bunker hill area in downtown on Figueroa. Knowledge wonderful staff that are super speedy! If you enter off fig they validate. read more
