I initially tried to get currency at a place in the Century City mall, but they were out of a particular one that I needed. I was going to have to pay a substantially higher service fee than I was charged at Bretton Woods and I am extremely happy that I found him. He is very personable and fast, and I will recommend him to all of my friends. read more

Great experience (and exchange rate) today buying Australian Dollars from Jon. The Australian Money looks so nice, I don't want to spend it. (Posted a picture.) Just call Jon first to confirm he has stock on the money you need which he usually does and ask him how much cash to bring. He also buys foreign currency. Have fun on your trip! read more

Bretton Woods - Australian Dollars - Currency Exchange Near Me - Los Angeles, California

My go to foreign exchange! Just tell the valet you're going to Bretton Woods! Enter the garage from San Vicente. Currently has a big "Orangetheory" sign above the entrance. It's free valet with validation! The exchange is typically so fast, you'll be back to your car in 5 minutes. The valet doesn't even bother moving the car into a spot but they have ready to zoom out of the garage. Give BW your business. You'll be very pleased with the no fuss no muss experience. read more

Once you find the place, service is quick and efficient. Got a few Euros for our trip and was glad I did. Will go back again.

Pro tip: they offer validated parking in the lot below For my trip to Japan, I googled the yen exchange rate and also checked it against my Wells Fargo, Bank of America and competing currency exchanges. Bretton Woods gave me the best exchange rate by far and competitively close to the actual global exchange rate. They also have all the currencies available in-store so you don't have to wait. read more

Definitely not the friendliest customer service, and parking is very difficult, but by far the best exchange rates around!!

Went today and exchange process is efficient and effective as other reviews, went to exchange for some Euros for my daughter's semester abroad. I did not mind that the owner is not chatty or friendly as others have mentioned, it is more important to focus on an accurate currency conversion and count. You should be aware of documentation requirements that are not disclosed in advance. John will ask you to produce your D/L and SS# or passport # to complete the transaction. Would be better if this was fully disclosed in advance so that you can arrive prepared. read more

Quick & easy Forex. They validate parking too! Just a bit difficult to find, look for the "currency exchange" signs. read more

I ring around the various currency exchange businesses on Yelp but Bretton Woods always has the best rate that I can find, and usually by quite a good margin. Doesn't mean I'm going to stop ringing around but it does mean I always check with them first. And usually end up going there. Pro tips: - The entrance is in the back left corner of the square back off the street. You can't see it from the road so park in the lot beside the address and walk into the retail area from the car park. - They offer validated parking for that lot beside the address read more

Total professional and excellent rates. Easy to make the exchange. It's located in Brentwood and he validates parking!

I returned from a trip to Italy in October and had a bunch of unspent Euros... I did a little research on line and found Bretton Woods. I went by and they exchanged the Euros to US dollars. No fee.. Just the current exchange rate. Very easy and it was close to where I live. So, a win win on all counts. Highly recommend this business. read more

Fast, convenient Currency Exchange at decent market rates. Was looking for a Currency Exchange business where I could sell some Euro's (€) that were gifted to me as well as leftover Cash from my last trip to Europe. My go to guy is in DTLA but didn't want to deal with the hellish LA traffic nor pay for an Uber... Came across Bretton Woods on YELP read more

Quick. Easy. Competitive rates. Parking validation. Don't get your foreign money at the bank, people...come here.

I purchased 600 British pounds a few months ago at Bretton Woods. When I got to London and tried to use a 20 pound note at a cafe, I was told that the notes were the older, larger sized bills and they had been out of circulation for a few years. Only the new polymer notes were accepted. I went to a bank to exchange them for new bills and was told that because I did not have a UK account with that bank, the only place I could exchange my money was at the Bank of England in the City section of London. This was a Friday afternoon and the BoE is open only M-F until 3pm. And, I was on my way to Hampshire so I was unable to exchange the notes. In essence, the money was nearly useless. read more

Best currency exchange rates in town! I've been here to exchange $$ for almost all of my international trips in the past 2-3 years. Make sure you call ahead to ensure he has your currency and enough of it-if not (as in one case for me) he'll refer you somewhere that's almost as good as him. Hidden in a small plaza in Brentwood, but trustworthy and great exchange rates. Highly recommend! read more

Easy and seamless transaction. It was a teency bit hard to find according to my gps as it kept saying I had arrived but the business was tucked in the back left corner and the business name was on the marquee. Once inside, everything took about 2 minutes. Very nice guy. I parked at the meter but he mentioned he would validate if you park underground. read more
