Had Mohs performed by Noah Smith. He doesn't do grafting. Sent me to Joseph Neilitz who was with Ascension at the time. I was told he would take skin from behind my ear lobe. He took it from an eyelid. Not sure where Neilitz went to school but should not be practicing on anybody. Scarred my eyelid for life. Neilitz should not have a license. Has his own practice now. Be very very careful. This guy is dangerous. What is the connection between Smith and Neilitz. Clinic person said they send "quit a bit of work to Neiliyz." Scarry. read more

Scheduling has been very challenging. They complete Mohs procedures but send you to a different independent surgeon for closure almost an hour away and can't guarantee the procedures can be done the same day. I had to wait 4 months for my procedure date and two months prior they cancelled and made me reschedule. They didn't care about how it impacted my schedule, only the provider. They have limited options for surgeons for closure and didn't offer any in the local community, only focused on their referral relationships. read more

The first doctor I saw at the Appleton facility took a glance at my area of concern, then dismissed me with a rather condescending tone, making me feel like I was "just another old lady wasting his time." One year later, I tried a different doctor. Same thing. She spent less than 5 minutes in total with me, offered absolutely no advice or insights as to my concerns, and quickly left the room while the assistant numbed me for a biopsy. She came back for just a minute before exiting the room for the final time. No time for questions, no advice for future care. Just in and out - another number for their books. I was leaving, feeling as though I was taking a walk of shame, when I had to pass through a room full of nursing staff, just standing around and laughing. After hastle-ing with ForeFront in Oshkosh and Stevens Point, I was referred to the Appleton Facility for a "mose' procedure" I just read the review for the a Appleton Facility and after struggling with the ForeFront Web Page, billing department, and lack of any feedback or follow-up, I am hesitant to even waste my time and travel expense to go to Appleton (an hour away) to only be frustrated and feeling unappreciated. I will postpone my appointment and try to get into Stevens Point. VERY DISAPPOINTING BUSINESS! If your smart you will start with a different agency altogether. Home-base is way out west somewhere and they're only in Wisconsin to take our money. I've had excellent treatment by Dr. Grelk, whom I see in Stevens Point, however, the agency is useless. read more

The doctor I saw had another doctor come in for a second opinion and he literally told me "I know you think what's going on with your fingers, but I think it's a reaction to a chemical your coming into contact with." After I told him I always wear gloves and I can literally see the picker things sticking out of my fingers. I would not take my dead grandma here for anything. I would like them to succeed. The Dermatologists rush through you every time and don't spend the time to go through everything you need help with or to look at the broad picture to try and help you such as looking at your medical history, your current skin care routine, supplements, etc. I have to keep asking questions to get them to stay more than 5 minutes and actually try and help. I think of the questions in advance to actually think of how I can get the help I need. However I never leave an appointment after years of going there feeling fully attended to. The doctors are nice but rush and make you feel rushed and not attended to. They also charge so much money. I always pay at least $300-$400 dollar for an apt and it's only a couple minutes. I have also had a couple billing problems. Their billing department is not local to the office and a call center. You have to wait a while to talk to someone and I have been overcharged before, I have also been told I have been refunded before but it does not show up. Talking to the people in the billing department is frustrating. I cannot pay online when they make billing errors and instead am forced to wait on hold and waste my time trying to communicate with someone on a call center. Please do better Forefront! I'd like to keep coming back but there is a lot of improvement to be made on attending to your patients. read more

Not at all impressed. The lobby bathroom was dirty. I was expected to know where spots were that needed to be treated on my back. I can't see them, that's why I went to the dermatologist! I got the impression they don't like billing insurance as she kept telling me the criteria for insurance covering the procedure, even though it had been done numerous times elsewhere and always covered. From the front desk to the exam room, I never felt like anything more than a body or a number. I agree with many other reviewers, go somewhere else. read more

I had a couple of spots on my nose that I needed to have a Dermatologist look at. I called Forefront Dermatology in Appleton on Friday 4/12/24 and was pleasantly surprised that I could get in on Monday 4/15/24. They have a very efficient office, my appointment was for 10:00 and they brought me into an exam room at 10:00. I met with Dr Michelle Lewis and after examining the spots on my nose and also some spots that she found on my cheeks it was determined they were precancerous growths. Dr Lewis explained the treatment for these growths would be to remove them with Liquid Nitrogen. All of this was done in 30 minutes and I was back in my vehicle at 10:30. I was very impressed at how fast I was able to get an appointment, and how quickly they treated my condition. I would highly recommend anyone needing to see a Dermatologist to call Forefront Dermatology. read more

I have to agree with many of the other posts. I went in for a mole check that should have been preventative thus covered by my insurance, I did quite a bit of leg work connecting with Forefront and my insurance to ensure this was the case. I did as I was told, telling the provider to ensure this was coded in a certain way. She didn't listen, billed as a new patient, thus causing a $300 OOP charge for me. Exam notes are inaccurate and not indicative of our discussion. Little time spent with the provider and even less regard for any hospitality. I'll be taking my business somewhere else. read more

unethical company DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I am a self pay patient. I did my due diligence and called around to fully understand my full cost for an initial new patient consult. they quoted me $178 while others were slightly over $200. the visit lasted less than 5 minutes with the doctor in the room with me around 3 minutes. they prescribed some meds and they seem to work. them a month later they send me a bill for $340. almost twice what they quoted me. I called the billing office. it stated I had a 10 minute wait. 2 minutes later it was 12 minutes. then another 2 minutes and now it's 14 minutes. I waited 2 more minutes and updated the wait time to 16 minutes. i hung up. I waited 6 minutes to only increase my wait time to a total of 22 minutes after initially stated 10. I hate to see if I would still be one hold if I didn't hang up today. I found a way to send a email via the patient portal. service a little quicker, but the totally back peddled and lied about the initial call. I will never go back to this practice again. please do the same. read more

My wife went in to have two spots looked at on her arm and leg. She paid $150 the day of the appointment. They took minutes to apply a freezing liquid with a cue tip and charged us another $380 over and above the $150 she already paid. We disputed the charge,and they told us that is the way it is. The nurse I worked with made light of everything. I was getting a spot on my face looked at. Her and the doctor made me feel uncared first as they casually laughed while I was feeling paralyzed by fear. They never called with test results, and I finally called them- only to be tossed to three different people to share I had some skin cancer. read more

the atmosphere in the N. lightning drive location is very uncomfortable. you walk thru a room full of nursing staff all on computers, usually laughing and and talking with whatever Dr. is also sitting there at the desk with them. I dread every appointment walking thru there, especially after seeing multiple Drs. prior to seeing Dr. Katz. Ive only been seeing Dr. Katz for about 3 months now and have learned more thru him than i did for the almost 3 years of seeing other forerfront staff. He spends the time with you, explaining everything and all options. He doesn't make you feel rushed or that you interupted his girl chat time out in reception. He even worked on a large file for me on current allergies, going way more in depth than i ever expected especially when the dermatologist who originally tested me never spent any time on it. I am very happy with my care there now, but would love it more if the online patient care or whatever the dozen nurses and drs standing around are doing, would be isolated away from actual patient care. read more

My daughter saw a physician at the Appleton branch. He spoke to her for less than 10 minutes, told her she had eczema, handed her a prescription, and sent her on her way. They charged us $332 for the visit. This is criminal. I am shocked that they are able to do this. This was the final cost even after insurance processed the bill. read more

My wife had to see a dermatologist so we went to Dr. Michelle Lewis. She was diagnosed a skin condition Seborrheic dermatitis. 2 visits in and nothing was improving and only getting worse. We had a 3rd visit scheduled but we cancelled since we were going to Mexico to visit her family and we decided to get a second opinion while we were there. First: Doctor in Mexico stated that the doctors in the united states should know better than to treat this as she was. It was the wrong treatment. That treatment normally would make it irritated and worse. It also would have been a lifetime treatment that would damage her skin over time Second: after the second visit Dr. Lewis gave us a steroid treatment that didn't do anything. And she also said to use a zinc soap after since the first creams made everything so bad. The doctor in Mexico was shocked that a doctor in the united states would treat this skin condition as she did because its such an easy condition to treat. The doctor in Mexico prescribed some pills for 30 days and it worked perfectly. It completely removed the condition. Also the doctor said there is a very good chance it will never appear again. read more

Felt like a grape at a wine stomping festival While the doctor was competent, the number of followup visits, lab tests, and procedures seemed excessive, like this place was trying to extract the largest possible amount of money for a simple procedure. For example, was it really necessary see the doctor on multiple visits, just to say the test results looked good and to schedule yet another appointment? I'm cured, but, even with insurance, broke. The absolute worst customer care I ever received. They don't get back to you on results of tests nor do they follow up with you if you have questions. They lack knowledge about your condition because they can never answer any questions you have. They tell you to wait until your appointment for the doctor to explain the results and the doctor talks to the nurse about you like you are not in the room. read more
