Sunday brunch 14.95 , omelettes, prime ribincluded coffee and juice. lots of desserts, salad bar. nice view

Cornmeal Crusted Walleye- very tasty, would recommend.

Superb menu, all homemade and fresh. If you want a melt in your mouth Steak or Prime Rib this is the place! Although it's a tough decision as the Salmon and Walleye were top notch too. I tried the Cornmeal Walleye last night, I liked the texture and taste of the cornmeal crust, Excellent. I'd definitely recommend. We also had the Chocolate on Chocolate Cheesecake with Raspberries and Chocolate Syrup, it was devoured in minutes.

Buffet with prime rib ($15) or with just omelette station and buffet (10.95)

You do get to try up to five tastings of your choice, which was nice since you can double up on a tasting if you really enjoy the taste. Our guide was funny and did a great job providing the information. As far as the cocktails go, I did get a tasty mojito! The cool thing is if you arrive earlier to your tasting, you can bring the drink with during the tour. I love the atmosphere and really enjoyed the tour guide!

I'm not sure when this place was built, but everything felt clean & new and the seating was very comfortable. The menu had a nice variety of entrees, but we were definitely disappointed that they don't offer an appetizer selection for lunch. My husband ordered the jalapeño chicken flatbread and I went with the roasted vegetable risotto with grilled chicken. We both really enjoyed our dishes and did share so we didn't have food envy. It was really kind of them to offer us a complimentary dessert when they found out today was our 25th wedding anniversary; we selected the bread pudding and it was delicious!! Other than not having apps available on the lunch menu, our only other gripe was that it took forever to get our bill and pay.

Got a 16 in with pizza and black olives for four adults. The crust is really quite thick... more so than what I'd call NY style. Not a complaint! We just got so much pizza for the money! Sauce was very tomato-y. Not too much on the pie. A generous amount that stays under the perfectly baked cheese. Sausage was top notch. Will definitely get again, sine we come to DL at least once a year.

But from the moment we sat down, it was all uphill from there. The Italian wedding soup was excellent, rich, flavorful, and clearly homemade. The pizza was decent, nothing extraordinary but solid with plenty of cheese. We also ordered the lasagna, the spicy chicken dish, and spaghetti and meatballs. The standout was the spicy chicken: the "spicy red sauce" turned out to be more of a creamy, spicy blend, and it was fantastic. Everything came out piping hot, which I really appreciated. They also bring out warm rolls, and those were surprisingly tasty, soft, fresh, and perfect for dipping. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Despite the rough first impression, it turned out to be one of the best restaurants in the area.

It was not busy when we arrived for an early dinner, and most of the staff congregated in and around a booth under a TV. You want a refill, more napkins, some parm & red pepper flakes for your pizza, or for dishes to be cleared away? Just look towards that TV and pray your server emerges. If there was a manager, I'd guess that's where they were hiding too. We ordered a hodge-podge of things since this would be our only chance to visit: spicy Hawaiian pizza, quesabirria, lamb lollipops, and charred carrots. The lamb and the quesabirria were the obvious standouts. Leagues above the other two items. They had so much flavor and were a delight to eat. The pizza did not taste like it came out of a wood-fired oven and was very heavy on the cheese (and that's saying something, coming from a couple of Wisconsinites). The carrots were nowhere near charred; the chunks were all vastly different sizes so not all of them were cooked, and they desperately needed that caramelization for depth of flavor.

Great soup with chicken dumpling (two daily choices). Did go with the broasted chicken and rib (baby back) combo. Would recommend just going with just the chicken instead, and step up to a half chicken at that for just a dollar or so. Not a baby back rib fan, should have figured so and won't ding them on it. Dinner came with a choice of vegetable and potato sides along with ice cream. Breakfast is an all day option minus waffles. Comfortable booth seating. ----------- Day 2: Saturday - longer list of specials available Vegetable and creamy chicken rice soups were good and promising start. We ordered the roast turkey and the prime rib specials that came with the choice of soup and potato. Dinners off the regular menu would include a choice of vegetable and ice cream/pudding. The prime rib which I ordered medium rare, cooled down rather quickly. Maybe ordering it medium would have given it a better balance of temperature and doneness. Guessing this was prepared via a roast cooked to rare, cooled, and then cooked again when ordered which makes it tricky to get it to the right doneness and temperature without over/undercooking? The roast turkey was on the dry side and the dressing a little bland. In hindsight, might have considered their country fried steak or the breaded pork tenderloin with better results - something made to order and not require cooking in advance/twice-cooking.

The hours are very minimal so we want to make sure we got there early. We didn't know how busy this place would be but we came in mid-afternoon and the menu was absolutely appetizing from what they offered I was immediately interested in their sweet and savory barbecue sandwich. My wife got a soup, the staff was very nice in accommodating and professional throughout the entire visit. They checked in on us and make sure we had water, they engaged in conversation with us , and they take pride in their menu. They offered a Pay It Forward program which was pretty cool to see and they even sell some books too. The food here is also very well priced and affordable.
