I stopped in for a snack. I sat at the bar and waited a bit fo be acknowledged. I had heard about their pretzel appetizer from my neighbor. She loves it so I decided to get that since I was not too hungry. I received the pretzel and dug in. The pretzel was pretty good. I found the cheese sauce to be a bit too salty. I really enjoyed the sweeter mustard. I took home a couple pieces and enjoyed it the next day. It stayed well. I really like the environment at Ford's Garage. I am going with a 4. Our server was great and I was so busy talking to my friend and her son..I forgot to get our server's name. Anyway, we started with chicken wings. I like mine with Buffalo sauce so we got that on the side so everyone could be happy. Wings were large and in charge! Buffalo sauce was real good. I had a hard time choosing between a brisket sandwich and a burger. Thankfully, I know myself well enough to not get the included bacon jam on my sandwich. That is not my thing. It does not look appealing in the picture. I did taste it and am really happy I got it on the side. My friend's son...my honorary nephew tried it and he liked it. My sandwich had some tasty brisket. I asked for it without the BBQ sauce but no can do. I had to order a side of fries because I did not want kettle chips. I am very much a chip person, but not with a meaty sandwich. It feels wrong to me. Anyway, I am sure they charged for it. My friend treated me so I never looked at the bill. The fries were ok. Not too exciting... The little guy LOVED his cheeseburger. I go out with them about once a month and he liked this meal more than any other I can think of. I will try the cheeseburger next time. My friend got a chicken cobb salad. I took a bite. Definitely a one-and-done place for me which is disappointing because there are not many other bar and grills that have good drink specials around. I came with a friend and we sat at the bar during happy hour and it took us a bit for our waitress to come over who just pointed to a menu a little bit further down and said that was the drinks. The fact I had to reach over and get it instead of having the bartender handed to me was a little rude in my opinion. Once we finally got our drink orders in, even though it was relatively empty, it took us a while for a drink to be received. The guy that brought over our drinks just stood in front of us without acknowledging us and we had to say to him which drink was which. At which point he placed the drinks down in front of us and walked away. I understand for $6 you're not going to get the world's best drink but for an old fashioned to barely taste like there's any alcohol in it as well as be served with ice chips instead of a cube or a sphere really got under my skin. The ice melted way too fast and by the time I was done with my drink it tasted like I was drinking water with a hint of old-fashioned flavoring in it. The second one I ordered was a little bit better but again I wish they didn't use ice chips in the drinks. After getting the second drink our bartender absolutely disappeared until she came over to say that she was leaving and wanted us to cash out for what I'm assuming would be drinks and money going into her pocket instead of the next person. As soon as we paid she disappeared and we didn't see her again, she didn't even say thank you or anything. The mediocre service mixed with the service charge of 20% that they put on automatically, which goes towards the staff, is the reason I will probably never be here again. I've been to other locations and they were stellar and amazing however this one left a bad taste in my mouth so much that I honestly can't recommend it whatsoever. I think the coolest thing about this place is how everything is styled after a garage. I visited Ford's Garage in Plantation today with friends after seeing some great reviews on TikTok. Since we hadn't been there before, we were excited to check it out, especially for their burnt tip sandwich, which most of us wanted to try. The drinks were the highlight of the experience. I had the Guava Gauntlet, and it was absolutely a 10/10--sweet, flavorful, and so good that I ended up having two or three. Highly recommend it if you enjoy fruity cocktails. My friend ordered a Mojito, and the bartender added strawberry flavor, which made it even better. Definitely a strong point of the restaurant. For an appetizer, we got the pretzels, and they were incredibly soft and delicious. Probably one of the better parts of the meal. Unfortunately, my burnt tip sandwich was disappointing. It arrived lukewarm, and after one bite, I immediately wished I had ordered something else. It lacked the wow factor, and I think I should have gone with a burger since that seems to be what they're known for. My triple fries were really good though. Overall, the drinks were fantastic, the appetizer was solid, but the main course was underwhelming. It was still a fun time, but for a first impression, I'd say the place is just OK. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience at this location and it wasn't a one time thing either. Restaurant only had a handful of tables there, but service was minimum. After waiting several minutes without getting our drinks yet, I took my son to the bathroom. Server said "oh, we thought you left" then came with our food & then finally brought our drinks. No one checked on us to make sure everything came out alright, it didn't (food was room temperature and not hot) & no offer to bring refills. Even more annoying when they automatically add 20% gratuity to ensure you'll have phenomenal service, yet get the opposite in return. And I always tip 20-25%+ on a regular basis, but I addressed my concerns with the manager on duty, he didn't offer to make anything right. What he did do was hand me a card and told me to explain everything I told him to the general manager. I sent an email to the general manager, who said he'd make it right, but did nothing as well. Not entirely sure how this location is still open. Everyone makes mistakes, but how you handle them will either keep customers coming back, or turn them away from ever returning. Sad Rock n brews went out instead of them. Their food & service were great, and if they had an off night, they always corrected it immediately & were super nice. They have an odd 20% automatic service charge, that is told to you by the hostess & written on a handout on your table. I don't care for it, as many others have mentioned. We ordered the pretzel sticks very good. Smithwicks beer, but was only in the can, not on one of their many draft beers. Got the burnt end brisket sandwich, very light in the amount of meat on the sandwich, left the location still hungry. Ford's Garage has a classic car style restaurant vibe. It's unique with old Ford style cars displayed anywhere from the ceiling to outside. The windows are basically a garage door. I love the comfort style food choices that are offered. Had all types of burgers and sandwiches to choose from. The bar was really set up nice with an old Ford car above with a car horn that honked. This place also offers a lot of craft beers. I will definitely try to go for happy hour one day. It looks like they have a great happy hour. The service was perfect. Everyone should see Ford's Garage restaurant in plantation. It is owned and run by Ford. I wish that there were more of these restaurants around to go to. I really love the decor. This was my second attempt at Ford's Garage. I had hopes that it would be an amazing experience. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. The bartender raved about it, and she made me an amazing cocktail, so I ordered it. It looked absolutely amazing until I took the first bite. Shame on me for not saying it at that very moment, but it had no flavor whatsoever. And you could taste the old oil. I added some salt and barbecue sauce so I could eat it. I had to stop because it was absolutely terrible. Maybe this is an isolated experience, but twice now, the food has been terrible. The bartender, she was absolutely amazing. Very attentive and offered great recommendations. The food needs to match the amazing bartenders you have and then it could be anyone run. read more

Wowza. It does not get more average than this. Burgers with bacon and all the typical "American" cuisine. My main issue is the pricing for such average food. It's crazy expensive for the exact same thing you can get from every other place. So why is it more? Because it has some Ford logo everywhere? I don't even understand why this place even exists to be really honest with you. It's like if Jeep had a Safari food themed restaurant. Stopped by for Linner at around 5p with our dog Marley and sat on the patio. Garrett was awesome, very attentive and not pushy. He brought water for our Puppy and made great suggestions on food. I had the fish and chips which was okay, the ribs had a fantastic sauce, the wings and pretzels I'm coming back for. Wanted to try a burger, but promised my wife I d make some tomorrow. I was meeting up with an old friend and we couldn't figure out a spot to meet up at. I suggested Plantation Walk. I've been to many of the places in this location, but haven't been to Ford's Garage. I've been meaning to check it out, and glad that my friend and I decided to give it a try! They had a great happy hour and lunch deal. You can get a sandwich with fries and a beer for a decent price daily! The ambiance and vibes were very nice. The place still looks fairly new and the staff were friendly. The only thing that would've been nice is if they could've given us both a heads up that there is a random service fee for the location that we were in. Despite that, we still enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. I'll be coming here again in the future definitely! read more

I checked our Ford's Garage during my trip to Plantation. The restaurant has a nice, laid back ambiance and it has an indoor and outdoor dining area. So much wrong here, it's kind of hard to figure out where to start. The food was a massive miss. I got a the mushroom and swiss burger and subbed a turkey patty. The turkey burger tasted like straight bird. I don't know how else to describe it except simultaneously bland and off-puttingly strong. If you know you know I guess. The mushrooms were also not seasoned, and the pretzel bun was rock solid and stale in texture. I picked apart half of it and left the rest on the plate - literally could not justify bringing it home. The only positive was the beer cheese mac and cheese side. (Also, they apparently fry tree nut allergen foods in the same fryer as everything else, fyi for allergen-havers.) The service was another massive miss. They say the 20% service charge goes to the back of the house, and that their structure for waitstaff is to "increase efficiency". I certainly didn't see any of that increased efficiency, because the dude who was bringing out plates (not our waitress) took our food to the wrong table, and then proceeded to let another patron paw all over them before bringing them to our table and trying to give them to us. Umm.... Eww? No? So we had to wait for them to remake the food, which was disappointing in the end anyways. Our entire meal came out to over $50 for two tiny portion, barely edible burgers. To top it all off, the place was Antarctica level frigid (I was shivering in a sweatshirt and jeans). Lord help you if you're there during a birthday too, because they do some atrocitious honking thing over the loud speaker that's really disruptive and obnoxious. Sorry to the bartenders and staff for the 2 stars. You are the best thing going for the establishment and the reason I'm posting. I was a long time patron at their Tampa location. It was always packed and buzzing with folks having a good time. The location i am reviewing is fairly new and attached to a high-end apartment with a bunch of other restaurants and businesses. That changed everything. I guess they must pay wicked rent because there are fees for the common area maintenance and entertainment on bills as well as a fixed service fee aka a forced TIP. This is a themed sports bar, not an IG famous restaurant downtown Miami everyone wants to be seen at. The place is rarely busy and they are clubbing you over the head to get as much money they can out of you because they picked a bad location that doesn't deliver enough traffic to support the business. Everything is priced higher than other locations. Many items are exactly $1 more than the Tampa items. Everywhere you look this place is in your pockets. The reason for my unusual rant is the staff are the real ones paying the price. Customers have a bad taste in their mouths and it's not because the food is bad. Even the best server or bartender is at a disadvantage from the point Customers realize what the deal is. Had an amazing bartender (shout out Taylor). Knew her stuff, personable, attentive, and professional as well. She represented the brand well. That day, all we could tolerate was one beer. Even that came with confusion over what size vessel it came in. At a place with 20+ taps, you should be able to get a pint of any beer lower that 9 or 10% ABV. Not here. The will only give you a snifter randomly based on who knows what. Putting a run of the mill IPA in a snifter doesn't make it fancier. It does make it more expensive though. This is a car themed sports bar, a bloke should be able to get a proper pint after a long day of work. Walking over the dollars to pick up the pennies is what I call it. The only photo I'll post is in honor of my forced snifter of beer. Thanks to Taylor and the rest of the staff for keeping this place afloat. The other locations I visit, keep up the good work. I still have hope this location will see the err in their ways and take the hits for their customers instead of subsidizing the mistakes of a large corporation with their patrons money. read more

I can always count on Fords to have a well made, tasty burg. This was my second time at this location and it was just as good as the first time. I ordered us a couple vinos on happy hour and they were only $6 ea. (Mon-Fri 2p-6p). We started with the soft pretzel and the cheese curbs. The pretzel was soft and fresh and hot. It comes with beer cheese and honey mustard (my fav). I ordered the Fords Signature and my mom ordered the mushroom Swiss. Both were great as always. My only complaint was that it was very messy because of the sauce. Service was quick and attentive, we came around 3pm on a Friday. Beautiful mechanic theme decor and a big old black Ford car positioned on steel lifts above the bar. Chloe the bartender made for me a delicious Top Shelf Patron Margarita with the right amount of salt on the rim at $13.50. Happy Hour recently ended so many seats opened up at the bar. My husband ordered a Voodoo Ranger beer which he enjoyed. I love the ice along the bar to place your drink after each sip to keep it chilled. Ford's Garage is located within the newer Plantation Walk area! Came here with a few friends for a catchup dinner and we found parking actually pretty easy with Ford's Garage being in a central spot within the plaza. Usually, I have a hard time finding parking here but, this past Sunday night, it was a breeze. We were able to be seated with no reservations and our servers were super tentative. They did let us know that there was already going to be a service fee of 20% (basically tip) because our party was larger with seven people. Just something to note before dining here. A lot of us opted for just drinks and appetizers but I was hungry so I got a burger. I got the Estate burger which came with smoked gouda cheese, sweet red onion marmalade, arugula, tomato, crispy onions straws, and white truffle bacon aioli on a brioche bun. The burger was pretty good with a larger size patty than I'm used to but it could have been a bit more flavorful. My partner got the BBQ Brisket burger and he said it was pretty okay, as well. The pretzel bites appetizer was also pretty good with the beer cheese. The inside was super nice and very committed to the theme of Ford's Garage from the wall decor to the servers' outfits.
