Ziam was communicating via text messaging before he ever arrived. He worked hard in the hot sun. Once completed, he walked me through everything he had done and talked about things that should be on my radar in the future - our house is 75 years old, so it is in need of upgrades. And when he left, you would not have known he was ever here - left the place cleaner than he found it. I found Ziam to be empathetic and understanding as well as helpful. Although Cannondale Generators is less than 5 minutes away from us, we decided to go with A&J as…read moreCannondale was impossible to reach - even to get a quote. We called about 5 times requesting to speak to someone and Cannondale just sent us a contract in the mail without ever returning our call. During the crazy storm in August of 2020, many people in our town couldn't reach Cannondale to fix their generators. We decided on A&J because of how communicative they were - they worked around the clock during that storm to help their customers. Since then, we've had nothing but positive experiences with A&J. Our generator is getting up there in age, so we had to have several service calls this year. We were able to immediately reach someone via phone and email. Each time they sent someone over quickly. One time, our generator stopped working overnight during a power outage. We called them at 5am and they had someone at our house by 7am. Soon after, they were able to replace the part and give our generator a bit more time as we navigate the process of obtaining a new generator. A&J educated us on the the changes in regulations, walked us through the many options out there, and helped us find a new spot for the generator without ruining the look of our property. They're taking care of all of the details, so the complex process is made completely effortless for us. Thus far, we're very happy with A&J.

We called the Professional Electrical Services on Thanksgiving Day when we noticed a strange noise…read moreand smell coming out from electrical circuit breaker panel. After searching and calling a many other services without any success, we finally received an immediate response from Robert, the owner of Professional Electrical Services, who patiently listened to us, explained what needs to be done for safety, and then said that he will come first thing in the morning next day to evaluate the problem. Next morning he was here as promised, and said that the whole panel needs to be replaced. He provided us with a price quote which was fair for us and much less, comparable to other similar services in the industry. On Saturday, the team arrived before the specified time, and work was finished as planned; they were knowledgeable, and installed the new circuit quickly and neatly and at the quoted price. It was done the way it should be by competent contractors, so we were able to return to normal life fast. Robert and Zach are very professional and easy to work with; very responsive and helpful: they understand the situation and care to help as soon as possible. They were happy to spend an additional time and explain anything we need. We really lucked out finding these services. Very Good Electricians and Very Good People! We definitely will use them again (if needed) in the future and highly recommend these excellent services! Elena and son Philipp.

I put the appointment in my calendar and never got a confirmation by text or email, so I started trying to call them the day before and day of the appointment to confirm the time. I was left on hold for six minutes both times I called before being shunted to voice mail, and also used the online contact form. After close to two hours I get a call back saying that they had no record of the appointment and didn't have my information in their system (even though I had spoken with this same department two weeks earlier and wrote down the appointment time they gave me). This is NOT a company I would want to deal with to install or service a generator. I actually feel relieved that I dodged a bullet, but I wish I had believed the negative Yelp reviews I saw here and not wasted my time giving them a shot just because a couple of people who clearly had better experiences with them than I did recommended them on Reddit.

Generac suggested I give Northeast Generator a call. Dan was a pleasure to deal with. And unlike every other Generac Service place I called, was less interested in trying to sign me up for an annual contract, but more interested in helping me and getting to the root of my problem. Their technician (Scott) came out at our scheduled appointment, on time, and within 10 minutes diagnosed the exact problem as being the Controller / Mother Board on the generator, And as if that wasn't great enough, he had one on the truck and had it fixed and back up and running in under an hour. And guess what? It WASN'T THE TRANSFER SWITCH!! Thanks again to Dan & Scott and everyone at Northeast Generator. You guys are great1
