Top notch pizza establishment. This is a place that understands what pizza should look, taste and be like! It's perfection. The crust is spot on- not thick not thin and tastes great. And that cheese over edge crust! This is how pizza should be. That cheese crust is sooooo good. And let's talk about the fine pepperonis! These are how they should be done! The cups, curled, cooked to perfection. We also went here for the gluten free ratings for my wife and we were blown away! Her pizza was also equally delicious to the regular one and she has a severe allergy and had zero issues! They were on it!!! When ya walk In you feel like family! Simple and welcomed with a smile. We will be back again and again!! Ordered online- super easy!!

I have driven past For Pizza a million times but we finally tried it after my boyfriend found it highly recommended on the gluten free app. My first experience was amazing! Outside of Detroit and Chicago, it was the best gluten free crust I've had (especially in Boston). The crust is much thicker than other gluten free crusts I've had and it has great taste and consistency. The dairy free cheese is also really really good. It also melts really well. It reminds me so much of real cheese, I always have to compare it with my boyfriend's pizza to make sure it is dairy free before i eat it. I only give it a 4 and not a 5 because of the kitchen inconsistency. The first pizza had me ready to come back the next week. I think i actually tried to order the following week, but the gluten free crust machine was broken. The second pizza below was from my follow up visit and it left me wanting so much more for the toppings. I also paid for extra cheese and it didn't taste like extra cheese was added or barely enough cheese for a standard order. The salads are also great, but again my first visit was much better than my second. My first visit was on the weekend and my second was a Monday, so if I try it again, I'll go on Saturday hoping I get the same cook who gave me toppings and a such a great pizza that they would get 5 stars from me every time. Overall, I highly recommend!

Headed to Medford, stomach growlin' somethin' fierce, but gluten got me trippin', puttin' my health in reverse. Heard whispers on the street, a gluten-free delight, at For Pizza, they be servin' slices day and night. Stepped inside, the aroma, man, it hit me right, Hopin' this gluten-free pie would truly ignite. Crust lookin' golden, holdin' on with all its might. First bite, yo, the flavor, it was pure bliss, no lie, chewy but still crispy, reachin' for the sky! The sauce was so tangy, the cheese pull was insane, no cardboard texture, nothin' feelin' plain. South shore style pizza in Medford Square that's pretty decent and has a good cause to donate to the community, but had some minor issues on expectations. Review is from 3/5/24, forgot to publish my draft. Came in around lunch because they said they served slices, but they had no slices available when I walked in. I was hungry so I got a whole pizza and they only had one size, and it was a bit pricier than I expected. Space was very clean, and service was friendly but selective. I ordered a half pepperoni half cheese, and based on the photos I saw online, I thought I was getting cuppy pepperoni. Turns out they ran out, which I learned when someone called in and the manager explained they were out of their normal pepperoni, but had a substitute, which is what I ended up with- not sure why this wasn't explained to me. The pizza itself was pretty good, I liked the sauce but found the dough a bit cardboardy and it was pretty greasy. Glad I tried it but probably won't return.

Been to For Pizza a few times and they only get better and better! Super friendly staff! Service is quick but never "rushed", great little bridge across the street if you want to sit outside when the weather is nice. Definitely one of Medford's best places to go!!!

Pep pizza - pepperoni was nice dough was meh cheese meh. Would eat this if I had to but wouldn't be a pizza I got excited about. Barbecue Pizza- cheese isn't a must on the pizza and it was on there and it detracted from the pizza experience. read more

Great take on the South Shore Bar style pizza. Nice thin crispy crust with tangy sauce. We got plain cheese and a hot honey and pepperoni, and the garlic cheese bread. All were great! Looking forward to trying the Detroit style pie! A nice alternative to the bready Italian and typical Greek styles available in the area. read more

Made the trek to Medford to try out For Pizza's spin on South Shore bar pizza, and I was not disappointed. Ordered the More Meat pizza (pepperoni, sausage, meatballs) and a Harry's Hawaiian (ham and pineapple), as well as Nonna's Meatballs and chicken tenders with buffalo sauce. LOVED the pizza--crust had great flavor, toppings were generous and high quality (especially great pepperoni!), and the crust had good browning. I will say that the next time I order I might ask for a little more oven time--I have the feeling that what I read as "deeply browned" some folks may see as "burnt" so I suspect they might undershoot a little bit. Still excellent and gives me a little wiggle room in heating up the leftovers. Meatballs were delicious! I liked the chicken fingers a lot--they have a substantial breading, but it's tasty--but I'm glad the buffalo sauce was on the side as I'm not sure buffalo would be my choice for this style. They were tasty plain. Definitely note the parking lot behind the building--15 minutes per quarter and much easier than street parking IMO, especially if you're also going to take a little stroll over to Modern Pastry to bring home for dessert. Solid bar pizza. I ordered delivery which any real pizza aficionado would tell you is the wrong way to try something it you are setting the bar high. Watched daves review and checked out the reviews i dont know if id put them as high based on the delivered pizza but cheat code i was in the area and found out their slices are literally 1/4 of the pizza. Im not sure it it is always like this but it was only $6 for half a pepperoni pizza vs $17 for a whole one. No pics this time because i added ricotta because im a fat pig. Lol. But ill going to do another visit order it in real time just a classic cheese and ill update. read more

we ordered the pizza was very good , however the meatballs we threw out . either the meat was very bad or they just have very poor quality. both of us did not like it. we had better tasting meatballs from wegmans for sure . not worth the $8 dollars . pizza was a 5 star. Amazing pizza! The plain cheese is delicious with plentiful melted cheese right to the crispy edges, on a chewy, thin crust. I could eat the whole pie because it's my new favorite pizza, but we usually only need 1 for 3 people. It's incredibly satisfying. The specialty toppings are well done too. the Boca Caldo isn't too hot, and has tons of flavor. The cup and char pepperoni, so good! read more

I never thought I'd be going out of my way to leave a good review for South Shore style bar pizza... but here I am. My wife absolutely adores Lynnwoods but I hate to drive. I was thrilled to have an alternative closer to home and, as far as I'm concerned, it's much better. I also tried their salads and they do a fantastic job with them. i would say 4.5 stars. in this part of the country there are a LOT of small pizza shops-- many are weak sauce literally --serving you burned rubbery slices from a carousel with no apology or pretense of caring about your pizza experience or even cleanliness--bizarre! THIS place you can tell goes beyond the extra mile--ordered a south shore pizza but with detroit style tweak. you can tell they care about their sauce and their ingredients. and their customers will in turn care about them. bravo guys! read more

Sure doesn't look like much, but my daughter is a staunch VEGAN and finding good pizza options is nigh impossible. They have vegan pizza with decent VEGAN CHEESE! Very exciting for us as we can now enjoy pizza with the whole family....Also they always cut their pizzas in small slices which makes it much easier to share around. I had leftovers at my daughter's house this week and thought they were from one of her kids, but it turned out I ate the Vegan option and loved it equally well.......Wait...hoping this means I might be able to keep my cholesterol in check and still have pizza at least once a week! read more

For Pizza is a great addition to Medford Square. I wanted to try out this new spot, as I did like it's predecessor, GNP. The nice folks running the place, Steve and 'Wiggy' (I probably misremembered her name but she was very nice) introduced themselves when they stopped to take a breath - considering that they were only open for a couple weeks on the Sat night I tried them they were VERY busy. I saw why - pizza was terrific! their 'house' red sauce was outstanding, and toppings were generous. there is a good selection with some creative specials, and reasonably priced. The Greek Salad was delicious as well. We'll definitely be going back. read more

We were looking for a different pizza. For Pizza is relatively new to the area. I wasn't certain what "south shore bar pizza" really meant. My experience with the pans was usually the old "House of" style. This For Pizza is superior to the" house of" style of pizza. We ordered 3 pizzas and 2salads The salads are large and fresh. I built my own with roasted red pepper, spinach, white onions, Marinated mushrooms- excellent! The ingredients tasted great and the flavors popped. My son had the buffalo chicken with bacon. Excellent flavors. The cheese was good but didn't pop like the veggie one. The people are friendly and you gave 2 15 minute parking spots right out front. I would recommend For Pizza read more

It appeared that Roman style artichokes were wrapped in prosciutto and broiled, where the crispiness of the ham played off the delicate interior of the artichokes like nothing I've had before. The salmon entrée was cooked perfectly (even though I wasn't asked) with just enough medium rare center to be considered a model of how to cook salamon. We were greeted by a really nice man who you can tell has a great heart. He was spunky and we matched his energy. I overheard him say he worked here in high school! They do sell slices but we wanted a pie fresh out of the oven, so we opted for a half tray Sicilian. We also got a small tuna sub. I liked the sub, the lettuce was chopped into the tuna salad which I hadn't seen before. Now the pizza, it was honestly really really good. From the cheese to the crust, I was happy. No wonder they won the 2024 award for cheesiest pizza! I hope this place continues to thrive and gets the recognition it deserves. Check out Leone's!

I recently visited this place and found the food to be decent. However, my experience was spoiled by poor customer service. When I picked up my pizzas and a side order, I asked to confirm my order and was met with a rude response from the staff at the counter, who implied I should already know it was correct because my name was on it. I shrugged it off, but when I got home, I discovered my order was wrong. When I called back, the staff was unprofessional and defensive. While I understand the challenges of being short-staffed, it's essential to treat customers with kindness and ensure their orders are accurate. I really enjoyed the pizza there. My friend had a special dietary restriction to which they accommodated easily. I got the pepperoni , which I thought was delicious. Not too greasy or salty. My companion got a pesto based one that she really enjoyed as well. Pizzas there seem to be one size only, which was fine for us. We ordered one for each of us, and we did have leftovers for another meal. I look forward to going back to try other Pizzas. read more

When I went to pick up my food yesterday I saw someone who look like they eat chile pepper for fun, there hands looked like they had blood on them because it was to dark to be tomato sauce. Wonderful pizza with lots of vegan options, but plenty for meat and cheese lovers too! It's new in Medford so I was excited to try it and was not disappointed.
