Staff is always super friendly, not only is their coffee amazing but so is there food! Highly recommended, definitely will be coming back

I really wanted to like this place, but it seems like they still got some kinks to work out. We ordered our breakfast and it came out to our table boxed and bagged to go, which made the sandwich fall apart and get pretty soggy. Service was just average and the coffee was pretty standard. Unfortunately, For Five Coffee wasn't one of my favorite coffee experiences. To start on a positive note, the shop itself is absolutely beautiful and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I believe this coffee shop serves as a great space for working or relaxing, thanks to the spacious layout and incredibly comfortable, yet beautiful seating. As for the drinks, I ordered an iced matcha latte with almond milk and toasted marshmallow syrup, while my boyfriend chose an iced latte with the same milk and syrup combination. Visually, both drinks were beautiful before we mixed them--but unfortunately, the taste didn't live up to the presentation. My matcha had a very strong, grassy flavor and very grainy like texture at throughout that was hard to enjoy and my boyfriend's latte mostly tasted like watered-down although it had just been made. Also, it is worth noting that the sleeve of the coffee cups seemed to be poorly designed as the ice melted, water began to seep through and made the sleeves feel damp and flimsy, which affected the overall experience as well. While the ambiance is top-tier, the drinks left us very surprised by the lack of taste. read more

So, I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere is admittedly very nice and lots of WFH area. A good vibe. To start off, the guy that took my order was pretty rude not only to me but also to the other female barista who tried to take my order but was told to go refill something instead. Secondly, the pricing is all over the place. The menu shows a large latte at 6 dollars. I got two large lattes, one plain and one with flavor, which both showed an 8 dollar base price on my receipt with extra espresso shots which I didn't order. Secondly, there was an additional charge for sugar free syrup vs. regular syrup which is very strange considering they use basic Monin syrup. None of the pastries have prices listed. I got a small cheese/filo pastry in a bag, unwarmed, for $8.25. It was ok. I'm no stranger to paying a lot for a coffee, but the pricing in addition to this mysterious 4% operational charge feels borderline dishonest. Like I got hoodwinked. I'll happily pay even more than I paid for great coffee and service but it stings when I got neither. 29 dollars for two ok lattes and an ok pastry from a guy who made me feel like I should feel privileged to get coffee from them didn't make me feel great. I'm going to try and write this off as new opening growing pains. As I always do, I'll go back again later to see if they've figured things out and see if it's somewhere I'll come back to. Will update my review if it's better. read more

I went on a Sunday afternoon, the parking was expensive and they only validate for 30 minutes. I think I paid $20 for 2 hours. It was pretty busy and there were only 2 baristas. They weren't super kind of friendly and didn't offer any suggestions when I asked. I ordered the pancakes with fruit (I can't remember the actual name) and it was good. I'd say the pancakes were about 5 out of 10, they weren't really hot when they came out. It was pretty loud because there were a lot of people , there were large groups meeting, but with headphones you can block out the noise. Overall I'd say the experience was fine. read more

So happy this new spot is in Midtown! I enjoyed the coffee - an impressive selection - albeit pricier than some other Midtown options. The food - yum! The corned beef breakfast sandwich (not the exact name) was delicious - large (took half home) and came with a nice side salad. The management and staff here are working overtime being friendly, helpful, and welcoming - so nice to see and experience. Plenty of seating options in an open and nice environment. The weather has been wild so patio choices were few and hoping that vibe comes. This sounds silly but with all the great, natural light in the space they really could trade in all the fake plants (so many!) with live greenery. ;) Great spot for weekend brunch! Enjoy! read more

We really want to like For Five. It is a remarkable space, well planned and designed and very comfortable. However, after four visits, it has failed to WOW us with good food and drink. Been for breakfast three times, coffee once. The price point makes you expect exceptional food, high-end coffee drinks and over-the-top service. Unfortunately, all fall short of the mark. Two out of three breakfast visits resulted in stale pastries. Hot entries - we tried the avocado toast and bacon, egg and cheese croissant - were good but a poor value at the price point (~$18-20 per item). The coffee drinks - priced 50%+ above comparable national coffee chains - are really no different than the others. And, in fact, two attempts to customize a drink (dry cappuccino) resulted in no customization. The coffee itself is fine but, again, doesn't justify the premium price. The service was fine. Staff (counter only) was attentive and friendly. And, again, the room is one of the most impressive coffee cafes you will find, in Atlanta or beyond. . .it is bright, clean, comfortable and inviting. I would guess the cost of the build out is driving the pricing. read more

For Five has been my go to since moving to Atlanta. The People, coffee, food and atmosphere are amazing!

The drinks served here are just okay. My latte was a bit watered down and ridiculously overpriced - over $10 with no modifications. For those planning to work from this location - the WiFi doesn't seem to work and it is a bit of a louder space, especially once crowded. Service was neutral, but employees were not well informed on allergens. read more

Clearly sensed some bias today. Staff catered to everyone with a smile except us. Literally when we came to the counter to place our order, they acted like they are doing us a favor and were rude. Staff did not substitute our food with extra potatoes because we don't eat ham, they flat out said "no we don't do that." We would have paid extra for the potatoes if they had just said yes! They catered to a group sitting across from us with the entire focus only on them and our food took forever to arrive. Upon arrival , the 24 hour oatmeal was so dry that I couldn't even eat it, the country breakfast came with 3 potatoes, I am not even joking !! and the eggs were so watery that we had to send it back and have it well done! This is a huge disappointment! We used to come here a lot and now the service and food has gone down. Paid $60 for terribly biased service and food! Not coming back here ever!!! read more

A tuna melt and a falafel sandwich and two drinks, a slice of cake was $65.!!!! I asked the cashier, " Is this a mistake? How can this be &65!?!? " She replied, "Service charge." ??? There is no table service!!! You order at the counter and they give you a table number. The food was just okay!!!!! Come on!!! NYC is better and less expensive. Never again. This place is prejudice! I went to get a caramel macchiato and the cashier stated that it was not like a Starbucks macchiato. I said I understand and said can I order a macchiato. She then suggested that I get a latte and walked away to explain to me what a macchiato is again. I just walked off but that was very poor customer service. read more

It's a beautiful building and space and I was super excited to try a flavored latte but... you guys it's MONIN SYRUP!? You cannot be charging $7+ for a latter and use nasty store bought monin. For $7 a latte the coffee should use house made flavors like Academy or Perc or really any of the competitors. read more

This review is going to encompass two different experiences I had at For Five, both with one other person. I feel like, as long as they can find their footing and are open to some small changes, this can become a midtown staple. If not, they will be gone in a year. First, the positives: The aesthetic and ambiance of this place are top tier. Everything from the seating to the menu and decor is amazing. It gives a modern, minimalistic approach. My service here has always been warm and inviting. Both times, I got a personable server, and even the manager was running around taking orders and checking on customers. Moving on to the food and drinks. The first time I ordered a hot matcha latte and banana bread while the second time I opted for the breakfast burrito with an iced matcha latte. Both times I was less than satisfied with my food. The matcha was decent, not the best but not the worst. The banana bread had chunks of something in it that were hard and made eating it less than pleasant. The breakfast burrito was not half bad however the avocado salsa made me gag. Overall, if you just need to grab a quick drink on the go or sit down with friends, For Five is a great new option for the midtown area. read more

I visited this cafe for the first time today and ordered a matcha latte. My latte had clumps in it that would not go away but I still was able to drink the drink, however it was not worth the money I spent + extra charge for sweetener. The atmosphere is nice and has good ambience, I was able to get work done, but I was disappointed by the matcha. The wifi also did not work at all for me and I had to connect to a totally different network. Not my best Atlanta coffee shop experience and unsure if I will come back here. read more

Admittedly I am not a coffee guru, I prefer Dunkin' over Starbucks, but home brew has always been best. Well, I can honestly say their cup of black coffee neat is better than I make at home.
