Very enjoyable yet pricey. But you get what you pay for. This is a very aesthetically pleasing place to work remotely, study or just catch up with your people. The coffee, food and treats are just as nice as the vibe in this environment. We came on a Sunday around 1:30pm. It was quite full in there but not packed to the max. Waiting in line was quick or nonexistent upon arrival. We found an empty couch as soon we ordered. You can sit and they'll call your name to grab your coffee at the counter and give you a number for your food order to be delivered to your table. I got the pumpkin spice cappuccino with a breakfast burrito. Please be advised that the cappuccinos are quite small compared to the lattes and cost about the same at $6.75 plus an additional cost for added flavors. It was good, just smaller than expected. And they have a wide array of flavor shots. The breakfast burrito was about $17.99 plus $2 additional charge because I opted for turkey bacon for my protein instead of the chorizo or regular bacon that it comes with. The burrito also comes with a delicious salad on the side as garnish and a creamy avocado sauce. It was all good but tasted even better when I asked for hot sauce to top it off. They have mini bottles of Tabasco upon request. It was satisfying but you can get a much more filling and stuffed burrito elsewhere for the same or less. But they were generous with the ratio of eggs inside compared to the other ingredients. I'd go again on pay day or when I'm feeling rich but the grand total at the register might give you a bit of sticker shock. This spot is located in the Google building in Midtown, and has a clean, sleek vibe. There are lots of tables and natural light, and would be a great place to sit and get some work done or catch up with a friend. They also serve real food, and there were several people eating real meals. I came in the morning and tried the iced latte with a toasted marshmallow syrup. The syrup wasn't overwhelming, but was definitely present. It was absolutely delicious, I might have to get it again. The order came quickly and the staff was very polite. Parking is available in the garage next door, and they are happy to validate when you place your order. There are many signs directing you from the garage to the store, so it's not difficult to figure out. read more

Located in the brand new Google building, For Five Coffee is a sharp contrast to well, almost anything that has existed in the city. The multi story high ceilings create a sense of openness, the large windows provide both light and views of the street. The interior space is bustling, almost always near capacity. There is certainly an accolade to the owners for being able to fill such a massive space with customers. It's a contrast to question what a coffee shop should be: a cozy, warm tone, dimly lit establishment or a vast bright space such as this one? That answer will decidedly be answered by the guests themselves. When it comes to the coffee, it is undoubtedly excellent. The whole guilt tripping, unnecessary, tipping tablet that everyone hates is there as well. Your customers hate it, so just get rid of it. If someone really wants to tip for going to the counter and already paying for the service of getting a coffee in the base price, set a QR code next to the register. There are some pastries as well. The attention to beverage creation here is more limited than say, Land of a Thousand Hills down the street where matcha lattes are much tastier and sifted, but certainly better than one would find in a chain. There is also a bit of a non personal feel to the service here that I can now attest to after a few occasions. It always feels transactional. Nobody knows anyone by name, there is no conversational and it's a business like vibe. Some might like it, others might not, but that's how it is. It has plenty of tables and room (Outlets do lack around most tables though) I definitely recommend getting there early if you plan to work any day of the week for a good spot. The actual coffee is honestly super impressive. I have gotten a whole milk hazelnut latte every time and the quality is amazing. They have a lot of syrup options as well. But I wouldn't come here if you're looking to get work done--there are hardly any outlets available, the wifi doesn't work consistently, and all the seating is hotel lobby style. If you're looking for a cafe with great aesthetics, outlets that work, and seating that makes any sense for working, I'd recommend any of the Daydreamer locations. I was staying at hotel in midtown and saw that For Five Coffee was the closest cafe to me. It was a short 5 minute walk away, and bonus points for opening early at 7am. I found the cafe located at the bottom floor of a corporate space. The display of pastries and baked goods looked tempting, but I wanted a warm breakfast instead. I saw that they had a menu of savory breakfast dishes, but nothing really popped out to me so I settled on a drink. I got a matcha with coconut milk and toasted marshmallow syrup. We seem this coffee shop on TikTok a couple times and had to come try it. I want to start off by saying there is a parking garage and they will validate your parking. This is always very important to me and important to share. I am not a big coffee person so I did not have their coffee. However, my friend had the oat latte and she said it was good after adding a little French vanilla so just a tip there. However, the food was amazing and honestly, I was shocked for a coffee shop! The birria grilled cheese was so good I would go back for that! To be honest after reading the reviews I can say the staff isn't the friendliest they weren't rude. The place is gorgeous so if you like an aesthetically looking place, go there. The music is good which is also a plus if you are looking to stay for long. It's big and has tables, high tops and even sofas, so yes, ample space to be there. I ordered a latte with almond milk and that was good. For food, I ordered the breakfast sandwich, which honestly wasn't my favorite. I had it with scrambled eggs and between that and the smashed avocado, they put in so much that with one bite the sandwich disintegrated. I had to eat the pieces of the sandwich separately. They did give me two complimentary Nutella cookies since it was my first time and those were good and the gesture was sweet (they were giving them out to everyone that was coming in for the first time, not just me). In terms of service, it was excellent and everyone was really nice-- from the girl who took my order at the counter, to the barista and the waitstaff who took the plates when the food was done. The other problem I had was the wifi. The in-house private wifi wasn't working and there wasn't a lot of signal for me to use my hotspot. I had to use the public building wifi (I'm personally not a fan of using public wifi). FYI, the building where the coffee shop is has a parking lot. I didn't park here since I didn't know (so I don't know if they validate parking) but I saw it when I was walking up to the coffee shop. read more

This place is absolutely stunning inside! Great if you like an office space and coffee vibe or even just a quick lunch. The barista was new, very kind. I wanted to get a BEC on a croissant and they said it would be an up charge which would make it the same exact price as the artisanal BEC which was weird but whatever. I ended up just getting the fancy one (artisanal) with a hot chocolate with oat milk. I don't know the brand of oat milk but the hot chocolate was a 0/5 it tasted earthy, lacked any REAL chocolate flavor. With the sandwich, the eggs for me weren't scrambled hard enough, the amount of avocado was overzealous, conflicting with the other flavors of the sandwich, the bacon was good (harissa bacon), the mascarpone cheese was very light and the aoili gave it enough sauce. All in all the sandwich rating is a 2/5 too many flavors with a lack of balance can really threw off the taste. Presentation was great though. The croissant was delicious. read more

This was a great spot for our group. The inside is really nice, and I didn't realize the parking garage next door offered validation, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the Five Bacon Egg and Cheese, which came with a mini salad that paired perfectly with the breakfast sandwich. Since I ordered online, I learned it's best to check at the register to see if your order is ready, as they stay busy and the text updates may be delayed. I had a chance to check out For Five for a Saturday morning date with my wife. We were not disappointed at all! For parking, there is a garage parking and it is not validated. That's the only downside. The spot is so modern and allows a lot of natural light in which makes it a nice ambiance. My husband and I randomly found this place driving by the Google building recently. After seeing such positive reviews online and on social media, we decided to walk here one Saturday morning. This place is quite popular! The vibe and ambience is everything! 90s and early 2000's music was bumping while a mix of people were both socializing and on their computers working. If it weren't so crowded, we probably would have ordered brunch, as some of the plates going out looked delicious. We both decided to get matcha drinks: I got their spring special which is an iced lavender matcha latte with macadamia nut milk, and my husband got a matcha latte hot with oat milk and lavender syrup. We also got two muffins: 1 blueberry and 1 banana nut chocolate. The muffins were fantastic! I can tell that whoever they source their pastries and bread from knows what they're doing. Those were some of the best muffins I've had in a while. The drinks on the other hand were not that great. The matcha was very watery and not blended that well. I honestly should have gotten a coffee drink since that's what they're known for. I also think the service could be a little better. It wasn't bad, just not as friendly as I wanted at the register. Also, be prepared that this place is quite pricey. I mean, it's expected since it's attached to the Google building. I think our drinks were like $7.50 each! They're based out in NYC so most of their locations are there or somewhere else in the Northeast. Because the space is so large, there's plenty of spots to hang out! I can't remember the name of the drink I got, but I think it was a cold brew with a shot of espresso in it. It wasn't my favorite unfortunately, but I think that's just because I would've liked it a little creamier and less acidic, but that's personal preference.
