Email saying my glasses were done and I still did not receive them

I paid for my glasses 11-14 and I was told I was going to receive my glasses 7-10 business days later. Take in consideration they are open on Saturdays... I would call once every few days after seven days... I did business with a lady named Gina and was told that she went to another store but when I went to the store it seemed like she was still working there. It could be possible I was given a fake name over the phone.. it's 11-24 and I'm being told I have to wait till the 11-28 to receive my glasses that I paid for already... I received a email that my glasses were ready 11-21 but they are not... I don't appreciate the fact I came on the day of a Black Friday sale not knowingly, to check if my glasses came in and they did not even tell me about there promotion "buy a frame and receive free lenses and a free eye exam" I feel like the employees are not reputable!!! I am furious considering I paid out of pocket...

Terrible place. The attitude of the people working there is horrible. Not sure how a doctor with good review has these assistance.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent visit to your office and to request a…read morerefund for services that were not disclosed to me in advance. Three weeks ago, I had a full eye examination with Dr. Wise, an ophthalmologist (MD) in Florida. Since I have worn glasses since high school, all I needed at this visit was a new prescription after losing my glasses. Last year, I also had a full exam at LensCrafters in Aventura, where the front desk clearly explained all costs and insurance coverage before my appointment. That visit was handled transparently and professionally. At MyEyeDr, however, the front desk did not explain what my insurance would or would not cover. During my appointment, a technician took retinal images without informing me that this would result in a $44 charge. I should have been told in advance and given the choice to decline. In addition, I was charged $140 for a contact lens fitting that was never discussed with me beforehand. The optometrist attempted multifocal lenses, which did not work for me. I was the one who had to suggest the lens setup I normally use (one lens for distance), and only then did he agree it would work. This left me feeling the fitting was unnecessary and not worth the fee. At checkout, I was presented with a bill of $640 that included these undisclosed charges. I was not prepared for such an amount and chose not to proceed with the purchase. The interaction with the sales associate afterward was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Because I was not informed of these additional services or fees beforehand, I am requesting a refund of the $44 retinal image fee and the $140 contact lens fitting fee. I believe this is a fair resolution given the lack of transparency and communication at my appointment. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and resolution.

Time for the annual eye exam and my wife picked this spot since it's nearby our house, and the…read moredoctor is Asian. Thought it was easy to make the appointment, but as it turns out, we had to wait a few weeks before the first available spit. It's either they are doing pretty good business, or weekend spots are hard to get. However, we find it very easy to check in when we arrived. The staff was pretty friendly and checked us in pretty quick without any delays. Maybe it has something to do with our appointment being at 10am. Nevertheless, the staff did their job. Surprisingly, the doctor was able to see us at about 10:05am, which is remarkable! She was pretty friendly and helpful, answered all the questions my wife and I had. And really took her time to examine us. I was afraid my vision is going out of whack as I get older. Luckily it hasn't gone worse since my last eye exam so I don't require new prescription glasses at this time. My wife's vision is still pretty good, but she got a new pair of reading glasses to help her with reading magazines and newspapers. And they are easy to deal with on insurance too. The staff explained to us about our co-pays and helped my wife with a pair of reading glasses that fits her perfectly. We only paid $15.00 out of pocket for them which is cool. I'd definitely recommend anyone looking for an eye doctor to see Dr. Chen.

"I wish I could give zero stars. This was one of the most upsetting customer-service experiences I…read morehave ever had, particularly because it involved my 91-year-old mother." I made an appointment for my 91-year-old mother, who has severe arthritis and significant mobility issues, with Vincent Campbell on July 16. Getting her to an appointment is no small undertaking. It requires considerable effort to get her out of the house, transport her, and bring her into the office in a wheelchair. When I made the appointment, my mother was not yet in the system. Vincent Campbell was at the desk, so I called my mother on my phone and had her provide him directly with her insurance information and the other information needed to create her patient record. He then returned my phone and gave me an appointment card for 2:00 p.m. When we arrived for the appointment, I was told that the office had checked my mother's insurance and determined that she did not have eye coverage through Humana. I asked whether anyone had contacted her for additional information. The doctor, who overheard the conversation, said that she had called multiple times. When I asked what number she had called, she read back my phone number. I checked my phone records, and there were no calls from Chen Optical. After I pointed this out, Vincent said he would send an email to Eye Care to establish that my mother did have coverage. Shortly afterward, the situation was somehow resolved and my mother was determined to have eye coverage after all. By that point, however, her 2:00 p.m. appointment had been given away. I asked whether there was any possibility of fitting her in. Vincent said he would try to see her between the next two patients and indicated it would take approximately half an hour. Because getting my mother to the office is such a tremendous physical effort, we decided to wait. We waited. And waited. At approximately 3:15 p.m.--more than an hour after her scheduled appointment and after at least four other patients had been seen--my mother said she thought we should make another appointment. I commented to her that since we had already gone through so much effort to get there, perhaps we should wait a little longer. Vincent overheard me and responded rudely, even though we were not speaking to him. My mother, understandably upset, said, "Excuse me, sir, we were not talking to you." At that point, Vincent became enraged and ordered us to leave the office. He told us that we should never come back again. This was my 91-year-old mother--an elderly woman with severe arthritis and mobility issues who had already endured the considerable physical ordeal of getting to the appointment. The appointment was mishandled because of an insurance issue that was apparently resolved only after I questioned it. Her appointment was then given away, we waited for more than an hour, and when my mother finally expressed that she wanted to reschedule, we were treated with hostility and thrown out. I am sharing this so that other families--particularly those caring for elderly, disabled, or mobility-impaired relatives--can make an informed decision before choosing this office. Professionalism, patience, and basic courtesy should not be too much to expect from an optical office. Unfortunately, that was not our experience at Chen Optical.

To the Yelp readers. I am flabbergasted by the last…read morecomments and only 5 out of 7 comments made. Let's do a reality check. Thank you to the 2 positive reviews. I am in agreement there is a problem w/members of the staff (they are the front line -they are good at what they do however a little refresher in public/patient relations is in order) that's when one takes ownership and asks for the doctor call you back direct. Let's remember quality vs quantity. Dr. Braverman is excellent in his field. As he does have ancillary employees, it's a sign of his quality and teachings. Not incompetent in any way, knows what he is doing with out a doubt. Do your research Dr. Braverman is TOP in his field in the state of Florida, New York and the Country.... The Dr. Has written so much he is a skilled clinician as well as an accomplished educator. Not only is one anxious when making these life changing decision one is also in someone else's hands. And for one I am happy to be a witness to such a unique and rare eye condition in the presence of an expert. And fortune to find the authority in Rare Eye Conditions. (Toxoplasmosis) for My dear Friend, Patient Thomas J. Murray I witness nothing but exemplary patient care. In such a serious matter. The doctor saved Mr. Murray's Retina. 14 years later here we are to present. Mr. Murray has returned do to a partially detach cornea related to a bad contact lens experience. Bravo-Dr. Braverman, you have saved his eye again. In closing, if for some reason you are having a financial problem, a treatment problem, or are not following the doctors immaculate treatment orders. STOP don't complain, speak with the Doctor... If by now one does not know waiting will take place in a waiting room, then I can say, you don't want a doctor to pay attention to your very unique and medically over all health!! I will sign this Honest Review, Sir Lazaro R. Oliver.

Due to that, I've had to reschedule to see my doctor. There's more, but too much to text. Then when questioned about their errors, they deny it, and their attitudes change for the worse. I've been seeing my eye doctor for years and hate to change due to the incompetence of staff. I'll continue to go there and deal with stupidity. First, I'll call them out to the doctors to let them know what's going on.
