The staff are amazing, and go out of their way to ensure that everything is explained and you are set up to have a good time. It was very busy the night we went, but that wasn't an issue since you reserve your space ahead of time. We did both axe throwing and a bay rental for an hour. Renting a golf bay is incredibly cost effective since the cost does not change based on how many people you have (you can have up to 8). And even though I called it a golf bay there are TONS of options to play. The food and drinks (which you can order through a QR code) are also great. We had some wings and they were delicious. TL:DR - an awesome option for a night out with built in activities

People of all ages were here hanging out however some were taking the games way to seriously. It is a decent sized space but with all the games and big pieces of furniture it gets crowded fast. The bartender were so nice and seemed pretty quick, hard to say how it will be when it gets busy. The drinks were good but they only have paper straws, and they also have a charcuterie board you can order. Because the bar is a tad gimmicky, I won't become a regular but I would definitely recommend and come back for a unique night out. Overall 4/5

I was able to play it again early this Friday morning with 3 great guys including one colorful character, Matt from Wausau now Golden. He's sporting the Loudmouth pants and golf bag. Fossil Trace is doing this to keep the course in prime shape while conserving precious water. The 12th hole remains my favorite. The standing rock formations require strategic shot placement. I carded a par today with a fortunate bounce off the rock stand behind the green then a good downhill chip save. Fossil Trace and Arrowhead remain my two favorite "fun factor" courses in the Denver area.

I hadn't played a pitch and putt in a long, long time, and with barely any equipment required to play, this was definitely worth a visit. Only $1 per club rental, we each chose 1 club and 1 putter. Lots to choose from, so it took us some time to choose carefully. The 1 club + putter challenge we had made for a real fun round of golf, added a layer of thinking to a fun round. The golf was great. Super casual. We came mid day on a weekday, so it was not busy. We were allowed to bring some beverages (went to nearby Denver Brew Co), and had a lot of fun. Greens are surprisingly fast, especially downhill. Bunkers had legit sand, and there is even the threat of water. We bought a 6 pack of balls in the pro shop cuz they were only $5 (only needed one each), and bought a divot repair tool ($1) because we were planning on raining golf balls on all the greens. Lol. We had so much fun, we played a second 9. Joined up this time with a third, and he was a super fun hang. Good golfer too. All tee shots are off mats, which is expected. Wasn't a problem for us. It wasn't super busy, but pitch and putt is going to attract all manner of skill levels. We had a lot of time to kill, so we were prepared to wait and chill at each hole (back in the day I'd go to places where we could be 10-15 people deep at each tee box), but it moved fast today. That said, when we were leaving, we saw a group of 4 and 5, and most looked like beginners. I have another day in Denver, we may try and play another round. If not during this trip, then for sure the next time I come. Great fun!

The only thing I can add about the food is that the drink servers seem attentive, bring drinks to people golfing. We did the "unlimited" golfing in the middle of the day in the middle of the week, and this might be the only reasonable way to do it. Paying for 9 holes at a time seems expensive. The golf holes themselves are pretty elaborately themed. But the golfing itself can be very basic and not super crazy. Each of the 9 hole courses (3 total) has maybe one or two actually interesting golfing challenges, interactive elements, or something beyond "golf around a few obstacles." Some holes look like they might be interesting, but it's all decoration. For example, there's a Ferris wheel hole that makes you think "I have to time my putt to avoid the Ferris wheel." But the Ferris wheel doesn't move (at least when we were there). Or an ET hole that is just an elaborate backdrop for a very basic hole. On the other hand, the good holes are great: like the bank one where you have to putt while a fan blows "cash" all around. I think the biggest issue is that all the holes are very small. Even with it being a random day for us, the holes got backed up. This is a thing that can happen at any golf place, but it was very noticeable for how tight it all is. And with all that, I think my kids favorite thing was the parked golf cart at the entrance. And getting to put a coin in to get a ball from the gumball machine. Since we had unlimited, we got to change our ball color at will. So is it worth it to you? I appreciated having an air conditioned place to play golf. With "unlimited," we spent about 90 minutes here, no food. I don't feel the need to go back, but I can see the right circumstances/group to go with. However, if I was choosing between two indoor golf bars, I'd go with Puttshack.
