This place has gone downhill from 19 years ago when I first started coming here when Gail was the owner. They penalize $4 for using a card. They have signs on everything with so many rules and regulations. So dirty. There's junk piled up everywhere. Steve can cut hair but he's not a good businessman. Total joke from when Rodney, Carol, and Kim were here. I'll never get a cut here ever again. read more

Foothills Barber Shop - Pic where they tell you that you must tip $10 for a free haircut THEY OFFER and for the "convenience" of using a card. - Barbers Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

I have been going to Foothills Barber shop for a few years, the haircuts are very consistent and well done. As for me, an old guy, I find it entertaining to see the decorative shop, brings back memories! I could not imagine trying to run a shop in this market place where I see cut throat and inaccurate ratings given by competing shops. Thank you, Steve and crew you made a difference in my day each time. At my age I don't like change, and I see no plans of bringing my business anywhere else. I see that younger people really like their cuts too! Thank you, Steve and crew, John read more

This shop is filthy it should be reported to the health department. The service was mediocre. I had to wait an hour and forty-five minutes to listen to this long winded douch talk about meaningless noncence for 52 min and ended up with like I said a mediocre at best haircut. If I could give this shop and the owner Steven no stars I would. read more

Foothills Barber Shop - Waiting in line - Barbers Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Great haircuts at affordable prices with fast and friendly service. My oldest son has been coming here for years and Steven does a fantastic job, our eight month old just got his first haircut. Steven cut his hair, same as big brother. Nice quiet place, with snacks and beverages available. Highly recommended, especially for the price. read more

I've tried at two occasions to get a haircut here. Turned down twice. Arrived 20 minutes before closing and they said no. 2nd time on a Sunday when they opened, they asked if I had an appointment, again No. I guess it wasn't meant to be to pay $40 for a hair cut. read more

With the new ownership of the shop there are now very good barbers. I used to have a preference for a barber, but no longer. Good barbers and reasonable prices, a great combination. read more

Great haircut and the price is very reasonable. Stephen offers a great nose and ear wax service for those of us who don't want to like that our hair has migrated from our head to our ears and nose. He does a tremendous job. I highly recommend this place and in particular Stephen for All my hair removal, cutting, grooming needs!!! :) read more

Come in here at least once a month and never am disappointed. Steven (red beard) is awesome..

I did not even get a haircut!! I walked in, signed in. the lady came and said c'mon have a seat. I said I have one question before I have a seat. Does this shop charge to use my bank card, she said yeah its only .83 cents but cash is better. I left. If stores here in Albuquerque are going to start charging me to use my bank card, I will not spend my money there! no signs stating the additional charge? They have stated its a convenience fee? That just tells you right there that they do not know what to call it because that is not a convenience for the customer? read more

Went in this morning and the Mexican lady messed up my fade and this huge chunk of hair missing where a line was suppose to be. Jesus fixed what he could with the fade, there's no hope for that line. Looks like I'll be combing my hair the opposite way until it grows back. read more

Foothills Barber Shop - Like I said, f'd up - Barbers Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

This is a great barbershop friendly and professional staff. I enjoyed my experience there

Extremely sharp decline over the last 6 months . Rude a unprofessional staff. Always late to open now. On my last visit the only barber willing to cut my hair was late and choose to blow hair around her station for 10 min before I had to ask of she was working. She said "yea" and turned right back around and kept blowing hair I guess, so I just left. Avoid this place. It is crazy how fast they went downhill. read more

I love this place. The guys here are fast, do great work, there is rarely much of a wait, and the hair cuts are cheap! This is the only place in town I go. Note: they only take cash and checks - no cards. read more

I like it. My man has been getting his hair cut here since we moved into our no e here in ABQ, and I finally went with him last week. Clean space, good waiting area, nice staff. I joked with the guy cutting his hair, and he joked right back. Much better than when they give you a blank stare and act like you are speaking Chinese... We went next door for bagels after, and the guy was outside as we left later. Didn't ignore us, wished us a nice day and was generally nice. Plus, they do a great job on the old man's noggin. Thumbs up! read more

I've been bringing my toddler to this barber shop since he was 2 years old. Jeremiah does an incredible job every time and actually listens to the way I want my son's hair cut. The price is very reasonable compared to other places. I haven't had a bad experience and I highly recommend this place. read more

Just had the worst haircut here. I should have known it would be bad when there were a bunch of people waiting but no one going to the older lady in the back. I signed in and she called me back right away. She basically did the opposite of what I asked for and when I came home my wife was shocked at how bad the back of my head looked (I already hated the rest but didn't see the back, just wanted to get out of there). I've had good haircuts at this shop before from the big guy with the beard but it's such a crap shoot who you'll get that I'll never go back. read more

Really bad service. The barbers were rude and gave me the worst service. Not to mention the day before I went, they closed at 6 and I was there at 5:45 to make an appointment for the next day and it was already locked and they stared at me until I went away. I would find a better place. There's a lot better barbers out there. read more

Visiting from Arizona/Ca and needed a haircut. Two military gentlemen were in chairs mostly buzz cut and bare scalp. I wanted a trim and tapered in back. My hair is over the ears, but not long. The lady said "taper", OK and broke out the electric clippers. Zip zip and I was near bald in strips from collar to a couple of inches from crown. Yikes. Too late. Heck. It will grow out. And instead of walking around me, it was twist me right, spin me left, right, left. I was about to barf. Anyway, getting some sun and wind in the back now. Be careful and explicit. Local meaning of "taper" must be clarified. read more

This used to be a great place but since two of their best barbers left, they went downhill fast. They started skipping my name on their sign in sheet and one of the new guys cuts my hair either too short or too long and ruined my fade. I kept giving these people a second chance but the last time one of the guys ruined my hair. I've finally decided I'm not coming back to this place. I've been going here since I was in high school but now it's time to find a new barber. read more

My 2 sons and husband had been going to Steven for years. They could always count on a great haircut and service from him. This last time they saw a new barber, Harold. He gave the worst haircut ever. We had to get it fixed because it was so bad. Will not be returning to this shop. Also, beware of the "cranky' lady, she is miserable and impatient, you will know her when you see her! read more

Great haircut. Short wait time. Reasonable prices.

Jackie was absolutely amazing. She made sure I knew what she was doing every single step of the way and made sure I loved my cut before I left. Very sweet, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. Will continue to come to her for all my haircuts moving forward. The shop was clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!!! read more

There is only 2 people who can actually cut hair. The Slow guy, and the Spanish lady couldn't be more incompetent. If you want a fade or taper haircut DON'T GO HERE, if your an old man who just needs a trim, this is your place. read more

Ive had my hair cut here for the past 8 years. Its top notch and professional quality.

I've had my haircut here for two years and I'm happy with the quality of their work. Price is also reasonable.

Aaron does a fantastic job with a zero razor! My high'n'tight fade always looks great. It's probably his time in the Navy, but I'm not going to spend time asking when the results are always so good! read more

Most reviews on this barber shop are very misleading... Aaron the barber displayed horrible communication and listening skills and left me with the worst haircut I've ever gotten. Do yourself a favor and go to a barber shop that hires professionals. They must let just anybody cut hair here. read more
