JC Smart Homes & Security Cameras - Samsung Frame TV mounted above a fireplace.

Above and beyond -- highly recommend…read more Josh promised they'd find a way to get my TV rehung and fully working again, and he absolutely delivered. I had been without a working TV for quite awhile, and Samsung was scheduled to come mid-afternoon today. I was really hoping to be able to watch the 49ers game at 5:00 PM. Josh dispatched Eric and his helper (his delightful and very capable spouse), and they stayed until after 6:30 PM on a Saturday night making sure everything was perfect. They didn't just mount the TV -- they handled all the moving parts: getting the Samsung and Xfinity remotes working correctly, restoring soundbar volume control, troubleshooting connection issues, and reconnecting my Apple TV. Eric's communication was excellent throughout the day and the whole experience was beyond my expectations. Afterward, I looked at their website and realized how many different services they offer -- and that's their edge. You're not hiring "two guys who can hang a TV." You're hiring people who actually know how to make the entire system work together. Before you go with the cheapest estimate, consider everything beyond just hanging it on the wall. This team is worth it. These are the people I'll call every time.

I was worried about how it would look visibly and he and his team put in great work to make it hidden. I highly recommend and will definitely reach out when I need any more work done.

    LinkUs Enterprises - Wrong wiring

I had the pleasure of doing business with LinkUs. Great initial impressions. Given 3 days to talk…read moreto consider and change the quote before it goes into contract. They were completely MIA. No responds to texts, phone calls or emails. I had to go through our builder in order for anything to happen. Finally when the overpriced add-ons were done, 2 of the data drops are only 100 mb/s, and 1 completely not working. Also another was not finished. Each cable was $200. That's way too expensive, and you only get 1 cable per room, not dual cables per room. I can get a 250 ft roll of UDP cable for an easy $100 if not less. That's enough for 2 rooms. I had to spend $400 for the same. Also the terminations were not shielded, the most basic materials. I wish the builders would drop these guys and save everyone a headache. To address the business owner's response It looks like you may have a different client, because since the original data drops were done, we haven't been in contact with you. I understand home networking on a certain level. 1. I've tested your cables, they were not wired correctly. I had to get them rewired correctly. A cable tester was used and they didn't conform to any standards. Rewiring them finally gave me the 1 GBPs I was looking for. 2. The issue isn't with my ISP because I was able to test this with copying files to my NAS, and once the wires were rewired, I got the speed that I was looking for. 3. I haven't spoken to my ISP after the initial technician came out.

How happy you are with some contractor is sometimes not defined by what they did well but defined…read moreby how badly they messed up. While I appreciated his input during the design phase and his work ethics, the mess on a couple of camera installs has left a completely bad taste. When the pre-wiring was done for the security camera, I don't know why the pre-wire had to be right next to the light. Jacob apparently thought that it was going be a sconce - but communication is important. Don't assume - if not sure, ask. So his pre-wiring would be fine if it was a sconce but definitely not OK for the flood light. Even after that happened, I knew that there is no way the camera would fit. And I told him that it would be OK to have the wire come down and then mount the camera below the light. I was really surprised when he told me that he was able to fit the camera and the light. When I checked later, I was shocked at what was done. Not only the floodlight jammed into the camera doesn't look nice, it also cuts off all the light to that side of the house. When I mentioned this issue, he offered to fix it but at this point I don't know how one fixes this since there are additional holes drilled into the siding and the rock that would be visible to make the thing even worst. I certainly did not expect this level of goof up when you pay a professional to do a job. One other thing to add is that when the pre-wiring was done, he kept talking about using toning to figure out the location. Fortunately, I had taken pictures to help with that - otherwise I think he would be spending a lot more time to figure out the speaker locations. This was my time getting a home built - so I did not know what to expect but I would that a professional would know to take some good pictures/measurements so that the finish phase is easier.
