Foothill Donuts is my favorite donut shop in Bakersfield that is located East of the 99 Fwy. So whenever I am in this area craving a donut Foothill Donuts is the place I go to. They are not like most donut shops in town. This donut shop is located inside a convenience store. Yup, you don't see that everyday. If you wanted to, then you could purchase a 12pk of beer while they box up your dozen donuts to go. That is convenient!! It's also convenient that you can also purchase your winning Lotto ticket while you are here too!! Cool ambiance!! I've yet to eat a donut here that has not been good. Everything has tasted fresh and NOT stale. That is a good thing!! I hate it when donut shops sell stale donuts. Service has always been friendly. Donuts are more affordable than the majority of donut shops in Bako. I'll continue to be a regular at Foothill Donuts whenever I am in the area. read more

I'm in Bakersfield for a visit with family and decided to stop for some donuts. After looking up the closest donut shop to my hotel I realized Foothill Donuts popped up. Showed up half an hour before closing without realizing the time. The guy Tay working the front was super kind when describing the donuts. After asking for a Half-Dozen, he proceeded to give us an extra 3 donuts without even needing to. Alice was also super friendly before leaving the shop. We could smell the place before walking up and was a little confused that it looked like a convenience store but the donuts were right there first turn to the right when entering. These guys were super friendly, the donuts are great and we even got extra donuts. Would recommend this place and am definitely stopping by again the next time I'm in Bakersfield. read more

The donuts are really good but the female owner/ baker is really rude. The guy at the cash register is nice and friendly but the female owner was just flat out rude in a mean manner when I asked her an easy question about the donuts she makes, this is like a Fastrip Gas Station but with a bakery counter inside and no gas pumps, they sell cigarettes and beer and wine, potato chips and soda, candy bars like a 7-Eleven. so the bakery part is kind of an add-on thing, anyway, I refuse to give profit to somebody so rude to their customers so I just go to Jess Donuts on Niles next to Wienerschnitzel hotdogs where the owners smile and thank me for my business. And oh yeah, I said Foothill donuts were good and Jess Donuts are good too, all the donuts are fried bread with different flavored sugar frosting, And some have some vanilla custard or raspberry or lemon jam pumped in them, Some are round, some are rectangle, some are twisted, so what shape do you want? What filling do you want? What flavor frosting do you want? This isn't some mystery to life stuff, The genius people aren't making donuts, hell those genius people probably aren't even eating donuts because they have discipline not to eat bread, fried and oil and then dipped in sugar for breakfast. read more

This is a great place to grab something to satisfy your sweet tooth if you're in the area. The donuts are fresh throughout the morning and are pretty tasty. My favorite is the ham and cheese crossiant but you have to get there early if you want in on them...they sell out often. But if you have some time to spare, the staff is always willing to make up another batch. Speaking of the staff, they are always super friendly and go out of their way to greet you and make sure you leave with a smile.
