My dad volunteered at the library at the park for many years and we ended up holding his celebration of life here (both in the rose garden and inside library). I have years of memories of hanging out here using the swimming pool, climbing trees, playing tennis & I used to run around the park when I lived nearby. We had roses planted in the Rose garden for my grandmother, my aunt and a child who died at birth. However, when they were redoing the rose garden, we had to take the plaques with us and now I have my aunts and grandma's plaque in my backyard with the same rose from the original rose garden. Shortly before my mother passed, we brought her to this park in her wheelchair and sat under a tree, enjoying a picnic with three generations of us. Needless to say this park holds numerous cherished memories.

The space was beautiful and easy to decorate, and was perfect for our crowd, and would be perfect for any gathering. There were several metal picnic benches large enough for 9 people per bench and the space had a nice roof/canopy to keep us out of the sun. There were bathrooms close by, so that was very helpful. There was plenty of toilet paper on hand, and a blower to dry your hands but no running water. I would recommend bring a large container of water, and wipes and set up away from the crowd for emergency hand washing. There were also two drinking fountains, but no running water there either. So come prepared.

This one felt downright luxurious. It is completely temperature controlled, which was especially nice since it was breezy outside! It was warm, well lit, exceptionally clean, and had absolutely no odor. It even sounded like it had a great ventilation system running. The only minor downside was the lack of toilet seat covers, but that's an easy fix. I came through here with my son and some friends. It's at the end of a dead end street nestled away in the middle of the neighborhood, so for those who have never been before it might be a little hard to find. The whole place is on the smaller side compared to some of the massive parks downtown, but what it lacks in space it makes up for with a great play structure and solid facilities. My son loved playing for hours and I loved that he was happy! Consider this next time you are looking for some place in the area to take the kids so they can blow off some steam.

We noticed that at about 10am the park got a lot more crowded, so we were glad we were on our way out versus just arriving. If you're looking for less people early is definitely better. We had a lot of fun exploring and getting some steps in here.

There are paved paths and there are multiple areas that are great for entertaining groups, including a stage area. They pack a lot into a relatively small area and while there's a lot to do it won't take you long to walk around. While we were walking around a family was having a party and plenty of people were utilizing the different areas for sports. There were also some people walking their dogs, like us, but some people had their dogs off leash in some of the bigger areas. There wasn't a dog park area. it was beautiful while we were there and everything was clean and well kept.

First, I went to the women's bathroom stall and it was dark inside with no lighting and wet all over the ground. It was slightly dirty, though, the outside pink building was beautiful. Thankfully, the event offered porta-potties, which were much cleaner than the actual bathroom stall. Most parks offer complimentary parking. This park charges for parking and the rates are as follows: $2.00 per hour or $7.00 for an all-day pass. The park provides a big pond area with a good handful of ducks. There is also a playground available for children's leisure and entertainment. Lastly, there are "exercise stations" placed throughout the park, which encourage more physical activity. Overall, it was a peaceful, beautiful, and spacious park.
