My experience with Foothill Appliance has been extremely disappointing. Their customer service is practically nonexistent, slow to respond, unhelpful, and lacking any sense of urgency. Scheduling was unreasonable and done without consideration for my time or availability, and no accommodations were offered despite multiple requests. Overall, the service felt unprofessional and disorganized. I would not recommend this company based on my experience. If I could leave a NEGATIVE 10 that is how I would rate this company! read more

I wouldn't use this company if they gave me the service for free! Don't bother with the Service Department. Scheduled them over 1 week ago to service our refrigerator. After calling company everything communicated was via text msg including our address. We were contacted yesterday stating they would be here between 8am and 12 pm today. Received another text this am stating they were going to be here between 8am and 9am. Service tech never showed up- I contacted them when I got a $195 travel bill. Sarah said they would be here soon. Moral of the story - I contacted them multiple times and again at 2:30pm to tell them we were still waiting. Sarah stated she made a mistake and put in the wrong address. The wrong address was happy because they needed their refrigerator fixed which their service guy decided to do. She stated they would charge us 1/2 the charge and would schedule us for next week. The woman "Angela" that does the scheduling is extremely rude . She could not get me scheduled for two weeks , and would not give a specific time so I could take time off work to be there but said they let you know the day of when repair man is on route to my house... so I would need to take a full day off work to not even guarantee the repair. She would not work with me AT ALL and was VERY Rude in her tone and language. This was my SECOND time trying to schedule. I DON'T recommend these guys. They're in Martel CA in the SaveMart center. They came to my house and diagnosed my refrigerator. They claimed I needed parts totally approx. $600 - $700. and then couldn't order the parts to fix it. Wouldn't give me a refund for the service call and the B hung up on me. I called another appliance repair service in Sonora and they came right out and fixed the problem. Turned out to be a $60. in-line fuse. NO star rating read more

I initially found Foothill Appliance through Yelp. While I didn't make a purchase on my first visit, I will say this is the place to go if you're looking for either new or nicely refurbished appliances in the foothill area. We walked in with the intention of looking at refrigerators. I have a refrigerator I bought at Costco that fell apart within a couple years and I wasn't happy. The selection here, considering the size of the shop, was impressive. They have something for everyone. I especially liked the used options in the back that still included a number of options that were only a couple years old. I was also impressed by their upfront display which included everything the modern barbecue aficionado would need. I didn't know much about pellet grills before walking in, but the helpful employee was happy to answer any questions. I consider this the first visit of many. The shop is convenient, the prices competitive. I'll be back when I decide to make that big purchase. read more

The repairman, Chuck arrived when promised, diagnosed the issue and told me how much the parts and repair would cost. He told me how long to expect before repair could be scheduled and arrived and repaired as promised. The company discounted the estimated repair by the cost of the original appointment. They have zero staff and take weeks to months to get on the schedule. I waited 3 weeks for a repair and they cancelled one hour before. Shame on them. Go with another company. read more

Can I give zero stars? Last year I bought a brand new washer dryer set. Nothing but problems with the washer. High capacity, can only run a half load without shutting down. Numerous trips by techs without a resolution. They asked me to record a video of the malfunction. I did. They said it wasn't long enough, I got another much longer one. Still no solution. I've given them the benefit of doubt for far to long. Do not buy from them. If they sell you a lemon, you will not be helped. The washer only worked for 2 weeks before issues started. They blame the producer, speed queen, but whatever the cause, they have not been remotely helpful. Their loss. I recently bought a new fridge and stove. I went to Lowes. Adios 3k. I bought new kitchen and laundry room sets from these guys a few years ago, and they provided terrible service with the installation. They had to come back twice in order to straighten out my refrigerator. Angela was condescending when she told me that it is only 1/16" off. I don't care if it's 1/64" off; I want it to be straight. I went back in today to look at replacement light bulbs for the hood I bought, and neither of the employees were wearing masks. I walked right out, and I will never go here again. I visited the store in Jackson to pick out a dishwasher and a range. No problem finding a satisfactory dishwasher. I have specific needs in a range and the store's large selection allowed me to find what I wanted. I deferred payment to do more internet research. Two days later I called in my order. I was then informed that the range that I wanted was no longer available, and they were offering me a substitute model at the same price. However, when I saw the specs and invoice for the substitute model, I found that it did not have all the features I wanted, and the manufacturer's list price was $360 less. So the store was trying to sell me an inferior model without the features I wanted at the same sale price, and pocketing the $360 difference! When I protested the store's manager refused to even hear my arguments and was most rude and unpleasant. I ended up going elsewhere, finding what I wanted at an additional savings and with a faster delivery time. This store is not recommended for its deceitful and exploitative practices. read more

So my dryer needed a new fuse.... Basically a $2 part. I go to order it on Amazon and it says it will take a couple days. I decide to call over to Foothill appliance to see if they might have the part in stock and I'm told they have 2 available. So, we drive all the way to Jackson to grab the part. The guy brings it to the counter and tells us it is $26.99. My husband almost chokes and asks him if he heard him correctly. The guy says, "well there's two so actually it will be $50 something for the 2." My husband tells the guy, " come on really ? It's a $2 fuse on Amazon, u guys can't be seriously marking it up that much...that's insane! it's a FUSE!" The rude ass lady behind the counter looks at my husband and says, " So buy it off Amazon." Okay...so much for supporting small businesses. I can see marking thing up a little bit but marking it up THAT much and then having an attitude about it? Not to mention, while we're there...the same rude ass lady is on the phone with another customer who was inquiring as to when their appliances were going to be delivered and she was having an attitude with them too! Telling them they do not give that information out and she has NO idea when their items will be delivered. I'm sorry...but if you hate your job and don't like working in customer service? Get ANOTHER Job! Bye! You will neverrrrrr get my business ever again . Steer clear from this business if you know what's good for you, they are in it for the money only NOT for customer satisfaction. I just had a dishwasher replaced by Foothill Appliance! Boy did they make this painless!! I first called the Big Box Stores which they didn't have the Bosch dishwasher I wanted in stock. (They said they might get it by July). So I found Foothill Appliance ....which I am so happy I did. I gave the wonderful salesperson the model number and couldn't believe it but they had it in stock so they came out within a few days and installed the new one and took away the old!!!! Customer service was fantastic and in the next few months I will be returning to get a new trash compactor! read more

Oh my God... I've been shopping for a new gas range and the other stores are selling the exact same appliances for half the price. I can't possible imagine buying anything from these rip-off artists. It's very sad that this store is overpricing their merchandise. There was a time when Motherlode Appliance was in business and offered fair prices but that is now a thing of the past where local merchants are concerned. We had our washing machine go out after 20 years. Our service repair person told me that the commercial machine we were looking for was not available in any of the box stores and I would need to look for one from another dealer in the area. He recommended Foothill Appliance. We were apprehensive as we a bad experience with another local appliance shop. Our worries were not warranted. We called them up and were informed that the commercial washing machine item was in stock, what a surprise never happened at the box store! We drove down and picked up our Speed Queen washing machine and were on our way in 20 minutes. They offered to deliver it, however we needed it now, as our laundry was already backing up (teenagers LOL). They loaded up the washing machine and we had it home and running within an hour. The price was very reasonable. We will be shopping at Foothill in the future, when we need a trash compactor. read more

After attempting to buy a refrigerator from a "big box" store nearby, I was completely frustrated. We had zero help in checking out the fridges and then had to wait a half hour for someone to wait on us in order to purchase it. The contract delivery company showed up the next day and threw their tape measure around quickly and then informed me in broken English, "too big, too big." They did not even attempt to install it. I told them that they would need to remove the doors to get it it and then there would be plenty of room. They refused and just drove away. It then took me 4 days to get a refund and another 2 to get the extended warranty refunded. I decided to contact Foothill Appliance, a local company. I spoke with Lauren on the phone while perusing their website. Lauren took at least 20 minutes with me on the phone pointing out the various refrigerators that would fit in the space. One of them was the exact same size that the big store refused to deliver. I told her I would come by and have a look. She pointed out the refrigerator, explained the features and then pointed out one more model that would also work. I decided on the original and purchased it. Delivery took about a week but that was OK. The delivery guys showed up during the designated time window and got right to work. They removed the doors from both the new refrigerator and the old one. They came in and took out the old one and brought the new one in exercising a great deal of care. Once set up, they removed all the packing materials and carted them out and then explained some of the new features on this model. All in all it cost me just over $100 more to buy the refrigerator from Foothill rather than the big store but the savings in time, stress, and customer service made it well worth it. I'd rather pay a bit more and get great customer service like I did at Foothill than stand around and be stood up like I was at the other store. We will probably be buying a range in the next year and it will be from Foothill. read more

Called this business in Martell, CA to fix my dishwasher door. I preordered the parts needed. First appointment, no show. I called the office and representative said there was no appointment on the books but that has happened before. I Rescheduled next day for owner to show up in the AM. Received a call to move to afternoon. NO SHOW again and no call from the owner informing me. I'm reasonable, had he called to explain I may have understood, but nope no call. (supposedly the owner) Received a call from the office the next morning and they wanted to reschedule. NO THANKS 3rd time is not always a charm, so I declined to reschedule and made other arrangements. ALL GOOD! Hoping they can get their scheduling corrected and at minimum CALL people if there is a problem showing up. read more

I have been in Foothill Appliance many times and their service is extremely exceptional! I have never had a bad experience with their sales or service department. The service department is so helpful and has so much knowledge and information! They have help me and taught me so much about taking care of appliances. I absolutely love that Foothill Appliance has a time frame of when their service technicians/delivery team will be arriving and when they arrive. That is so helpful! I have time to do what I have to do, and run my errands. On top of the extremely great work they do, everyone at the office and out in the field are so nice! I am always greeted with a smile and someone is always there to help me and make sure that I am well taken care of! I wouldn't want to take my business anywhere else! I need a new refrigerator, and I wanted to shop local. This place has changed my mind about that. Their website says they close at 6:00.. the door out front says they close at 5:00. I showed up at 4:45 thinking I had an hour and fifteen minutes to shop. The doors were locked. I'm not sure what time this place thinks that people shop for appliances, but for a working man, it's not 9 to 5... (or 4:45). They are closed Sundays... also a big shopping day. It's my opinion that this place will not survive with these hours. I'm not going to take a day off of work so that these people can close at 4:45. I went to Lowe's and bought a $2,000 refrigerator from them. It's being delivered for free on Saturday. The only day my schedule would allow me to shop at this place. I will never even consider this place for future purchases, and any time I hear someone speak about purchasing any appliance, I will highly recommend staying away from Foothill Appliance. They obviously don't need anyone's business. It's a shame too, because I have a Traeger smoker, and they sell Traeger stuff. I will go to Ace Hardware for my Traeger needs, and Lowe's for my appliances. read more

Buy local!!!! WHY?? Shop small business ! Why? The reasons are supposed to be very clear.... CUSTOMER SERVICE! Well someone needs to explain this to Foothill Appliance. I recently bought an induction cooktop that has stopped working. I called foothill appliance and asked them for assistance. I was promptly told that in a number of documents somewhere I signed a form that stated that they will not provide customer service for the first year of an appliance purchase. So they are only interested in providing customer service when they can bill for it. I was not a one item customer I purchased quite a few high-end appliances from them waited a very long time to get the items delivered and installed. There is a Lowe's down the street and found that I could've purchased all of these items and receive them significantly quicker and cheaper. I like many people were under the impression that if we bought local and from a smaller store we would be given better customer service. This could not be further from the truth. foothill appliance's answer to customer service was giving me an 800 number and told me that that was all they would do for Customer Service. I asked the young woman that answered the phone and gave me this information what advantage I got from shopping local if they were not going to extend better customer service. I was told that the reason I shop local is to keep the money local. So apparently the reason we are to shop local and it's small businesses is to give our money blindly to people in the community without any responsibility on their part to provide a better product a cheaper product or customer service. read more

Purchased a dishwasher from Foothill Appliance on January 15, 2022 for $799 plus tax and of course the delivery and installation (final bill was $1028.24). It does not work for our needs as the dishwasher is too small to handle the milk jugs that I use for my milk cow. It came with a damaged door that was noted by the install person at delivery. Foothill Appliance has ordered a new door for it. They can't tell me when it will be here. We have already replaced the dishwasher with one from Lowe's. Trying to sell this one at half the price of what they want but it's damaged. I have within the last two years purchased a freezer, washing machine and refrigerator from them and now the dishwasher. This was a horrible experience. Damaged product and I get to wait for a new door while trying to sell a product that is not even a month old. Never will shop there again. read more

Worst ever customer service I have experienced in my almost 60 years on this planet. My refrigerator leaked. I had my water turned off to the refrigerator and waited for the appliance technician to come and diagnose the problem. Dan from Foothill Appliance said I needed a new valve that had to be ordered. Good enough. Well, after he replaced the backing to my refrigerator and left, a very loud noise was happening with my refrigerator when the cooling motor turns on. He must not have tightened well or put the refrigerator backing back on correctly. The noise was so awful I called the store the very next day saying that I needed him to return and fix this noise because it is so very loud. I was told by Sidney that no he will not come until the valve is in and if the noise is from something else, I will be charged another service charge! Imagine that!! Another person called trying to make an appointment for a long time away and I told her that I will not be around due to going into surgery at that time. I asked this new person if Dan can return to fix the loud noise he created that I cannot live with. I was told she called Dan and he said no he will not come until he puts in the valve. I will not do business with Foothill appliance and neither should you if you like good customer service and value for your money. read more

Terrible small town service. Ordered a part that they confirmed was the right part and ordered it for me. The part ended up not being correct and did not fit my dryer. Tried to return the part and or exchange for the right one and they will not return the part and they say the part I need is discontinued. I am a business owner in the same town and am not satisficed with my experience. NOT THE WAY I WOULD DO BUSINESS, VERY SAD. This was at the Jackson store. I explained the problem I was having and scheduled an appointment for that week. The problem turned out to be the pump. He ordered a new one, called me when the part came in, and scheduled an appointment to put it in. My dishwasher was repaired within half an hour.
