Our A/C died - we had a Lodi company come out and they quoted us $14k-$19k for a new unit. We decided to try a local company and asked them to give us an estimate for a new unit. Jade was the technician who came out to give us a quote however, he gave our system the once over (which the first company did not do) and found a bad switch which was quickly replaced and everything works perfectly! They're responsive, compassionate and professional. Lori (I believe was her name) who answered the phone was more than accommodating. So flexible and sooooo sweet! Jade, the technician who came to service my heater was so kind and professional! He was quiet too as my baby was sleeping! I highly recommend Mountain Air for your heating and AC repairs. Our AC quit working on a Friday night during a heat wave event. I called a couple of companies first thing the following Saturday morning with one of the companies being Mountain Air. I received a return call within an hour from Ralph who as it turned out was the retired owner of Mountain Air. Although he was retired, he was helping out supporting his crew during this period of extreme temperatures and high volume of calls. Ralph advised that he could fit me this same day while out helping his technicians on their various projects. Ralph showed up at our residence shortly after noon and had our system back up and running in about of hour after diagnosing the problem and replacing the faulty part. My air went down and was desperate to get service (summer is upon us). They are the only service that actually answers the phone. Appointment only. The earliest they could get me in was a week later. They offered a "stand by" list and would be able to squeeze me in if a technician is able to finish their jobs early. Couple of days later they were able to accommodate me but I had someone look at my AC and was a simple fix. Thought I did not use their services, they were highly recommended by my mom who did receive service and was very satisfied with their honest work ethics. Being able to talk to someone "live" was priceless. Hence my review...I hope to one day be able to receive service from them, just not anytime soon. Keep cook folks! read more

Ralph and his helper once again saved my butt when I had problems with the chiller unit in my wine cellar. When we called the office we were told he was booked for the week but they would pass on the message. On day two they showed up and did a great job of getting the unit working. Steer clear. They repaired my ac in 2018 it went out again in 2019 took a month to get the parts then went out again after a week!! Great service on our air conditioner. I agree with all the other reviews that they are the only place around where a person actually answers the phone! We were put on the waiting list since they were totally swamped! (No, surprise with the heat up in the mountains here) Worst case the owner told us we would have had to wait a day or two but he was here within 2 hours of us calling and our air is working wonderfully! Our 3o year old Ac/Heat package unit has been giving us problems for months. Made a mistake by hiring a company that spends more time making Tik Tok videos than taking care of customers. I thought we were getting a good deal until the Technician was more interested in replacing our unit instead of making a repair. At the end his visit, he wanted $3,000.00 for all the things that need to be replaced. I finally called Mountain Air and the Technician was able to diagnose the issue in just a few minutes and we were warm for the first time in months. I just called them to get an estimate to add an air conditioning to our sun room. He flat out told me that he was to BUSY to do an estimate and to try calling back in 6 weeks!!! TOO BUSY! Wow sad! After almost 20 years with Air-Serve, I finally had it with questionable diagnosis and ever increased pricing and decided to give someone else a shot. I started with a Spring Maintenance call and delighted when 2 pleasant technicians quickly diagnosed and fixed issues on 2 of our three systems. They also diagnosed a "probable" solution to an issue with our furnace that Aire-Serve had failed to rectify for almost 10 years and confirmed their suspicion on their follow-up visit a week later when they resolved it in under 2 hours. read more

For a small town this is the greatest service around at a reasonable price. Of course you only need this service when it's a scorcher or freezing. I called them yesterday and they showed up early this morning. The problem was a bit more involved than the tech knew about and he knew it, so he immediately called for reinforcements, the owner showed up a few minutes later and ran down the problem and fixed it. I was expecting this huge bill but was pleasantly surprised that it was about 1/3 of what I was expecting. I would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

Mountain Air was here today for our yearly furnace maintenance. It was definitely a good decision to have a yearly maintenance contract. Very reasonable. Our old furnace now runs like a top. Our furnace is nicknamed the exploder because it regularly blew the door or the vent off with a big scary boom. Now it runs perfectly and smoothly. The technician is always on time. I needed to get a furnace repair on my house in Pioneer. I called (3) different furnace repair companies in my area and Mountain Air was the only place that answered the phone. The others had recordings or an answering service. I made an appointment for the next week. Serviceman showed up on time, determined the problem and gave me a very reasonable estimate to replace a gas valve. Repair was completed and the furnace works great now. read more

I'm sitting in my cool house, thanks to Mountain Air!! I have needed their assistance several times over the years. No one does it better! I won't jinks my unit by listing it's age, but Ralph the owner needed to create magic to find parts for my system. This is the only company I trust to fix my system. Every person in the company is wonderful, each and every one takes ownership for your problem, calls with updates, makes extra hours in the day to help you out, the owner accepts and returns my SOS calls even while on vacation out of the country. We called Mountain Air because we smelled plastic burning. They came out and found there was an issue with the furnace but luckily the part was still under warranty. They said the labor would run about $1,000 - fees were $95 per hour and it would take 2 guys about 5 hours. The technicians were at the house for about 4 hours yet we were billed $1600 in labor making the rate $200 per hour for each guy. We called to complain and was told the owner would call us back. He never called. We will never use these people again and if you use them - get it in writing what the hourly rate is or they will rip you off too. read more

My A/C was draining through the overflow pipe. The Tech, Daniel came out and said my filters were dirty so that why it was draining through the overflow pipe, and he said that should fix it. It still was draining so a week later he came back and adjusted the fan motor and said try that, let me know if it still drains through overflow pipe. So still draining through the overflow pipe another week goes by before they can come back out, My appointment was between 130 to 5. Daniel calls my wife and says I need in the house this morning. My wife tells him he cant because no one is there. He then says to her where do you keep your spare key so I can get in!! My wife told him that's not going to happen so he hangs up on her!! I cancelled the appointment!! They then filed a false report with my home warranty company, so I had to pay for another company to come out.
