I ordered socks to be shipped to me since the online app took my order twice then cancelled it…read moresaying they couldn't verify my address which was absolutely ridiculous. However, despite me saying ship them to my home address the person taking the order at the store pulled up an old PO Box I used to have at PakMail. For almost two weeks the package was lost inside the PakMail. The manager there is Michael and he signed for it so I know it was there but misplaced. I thought it could have been returned to sender also. So I called the New Balance store to tell them about the mixup. The store tried to make it right by ordering a second package of socks to be shipped from the Mall of GA store. It's going to be delivered to my house. Today I stopped by the PakMail to see if my package was found. It was at the bottom of a bin. I don't know why they couldn't find it last week. I just called the Alpharetta store to tell them the package was found and I wanted to pay for the second package. Mark answered and I tried to explain what happened and that I wanted to pay for the second package of socks. He must have been busy or in a bad mood or he didn't believe me. He curtly said enjoy the free socks. If it was a screw up on their part I shouldn't have to pay. It just doesn't feel right. I'm an honest person. Oh well, I go there at least once a year to buy shoes and socks.

She by-passed the system and got me my shoe right away. --Location/Parking-- Located in the shopping strip across from North Point Mall. Plenty of parking, next to a Georgia Spa. --Ambience-- Various shoe accessories and New Balance on display. You have so many to choose from, I was a bit overwhelmed, but Sharon helped me find the right shoe and even gave me style suggestions on when and what to wear. --Service/Staff-- I can't say enough about the staff for helping me out when the online order did not go through. I think if the employee did not help me. I would not have a pair of New Balance right now. --Products-- I'm so happy with my New Balance, there is a reason why they are trendy and stylish right now. --Capacity-- There were four people on staff, so they can help over 12 plus customers at a time. There was plenty of room to browse and look for footwear. --Overall-- Recommended to try and talk about footwear and styling on what type of New Balance would fit and work for you.

Perhaps I do not look like the typical customer, what ever that may mean, however; immediately entering this store with the intention of purchasing their park avenue oxfords, I was approached - not greeted, by a stern older man with glasses. In the 15 minutes that I spent in the store, he did not take his eyes off of me for a second. Which made me uncomfortable. When I asked questions to see if he was just eager to help, he answered back short and matter-of-factly with an intense look. I continued browsing to see if he would let me be, but he continued to stare and began tapping on the table as if he were rushing me out. I have worked retail in the past and I can understand employees attempting to prevent theft, especially if shoplifting occurs frequently. This overt aggressiveness was shameful and unfortunate.

Plus they have excellent accessories - head bands, socks, and bows galore!! Love, love, love their selection of bows!! Many colors, textures, and sparkle to choose from. On my first trip there, the lady that helped couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating (regrettably, I don't remember her name). Unfortunately, the boot was too small and I came back after traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday to exchange them. They did not have the size I needed in several, similar boot styles but I was able to get something in a completely different shoe (no refunds after 10 days, just store credit and I wasn't sure when I'd be able to get back there). The lady that helped me on my return trip was neither friendly or very helpful. The lady that helped me originally was busy with another customer (fine), and I DO NOT mind waiting, I teach my daughter all the time that you have to 'Wait your turn'. What I do not like when it comes to customer service is no acknowledgement of your presence, standing around until someone acknowledges that you exist (the store is VERY small, you can't be missed), being helped like there are a million other things you could be doing with your time and ultimately feeling like you could either take or leave my business. This is not a big-box shop, I never understood this attitude when it came to small business owners. Go for the shoes and the selection, take a gamble on the experience.
