Long ago I shopped at Foot Locker. Decided to stop and look at the Westfield Mall in La Jolla. We were in the market for a certain type of shoe. The associate assisted me and than started helping another person while I waited. I am unsure whether this store is on commission. He left for a long while so I was looking around for other merch. He finally provided the shoe and when I checked out I noticed the price e was different that because he brought me the wrong shoe. It was the same color Black but the style was a little different. Then he charges us $.10 for the bag without telling us. Poor service all around. read more

AMAZING service every time I go here, they always have a great deal and/or discounts. The selection of shoes is great you can walk in here and catch a special or a pair of shoes that you wouldn't expect to find randomly. The cost is below the market and it is located in a decent place witin the mall. read more

I don't usually leave reviews but my experience was so great today that I was moved to take the time to do it. I was in very early today. I've been looking for some new shoes for a long time. I have several issues I'm trying to solve for and it just makes that right pair hard to find. Two gentlemen helped me today. They brought out SO many pairs of shoes. So graciously and polite. And I found the perfect pair. I still can't believe it. I don't usually shop at footlocker but I definitely will in the future. read more

Absolutely Terrible! Never come here they have barely any options and will give away what you asked to try or buy if someone else who looks like they have more money comes in. The service was shitty and the place was dirty. In addition there were extremely rude workers read more

I came into the store with some help I needed regarding the Jordan's I purchased for my son. We had the pleasure of having Max help us out. I just wanted to come on to say thank you for all his kindness and the way he went above and beyond to help us out, and purchase another pair of shoes. It can be difficult shopping with two kids, and he really took the time to get on their level and help us all feel comfortable and lessened the stress than be accompanied with buying shoes for a toddler and small child. Thank you, Max! I hope and know you'll go great places in life because of how much you care. We need more young men like you. read more

When they have a sale here, is it really a sale? I do not know but I do know they sure carry some pricey shoes given the name brand and such, especially since even on sale, a pair Nike's still cost between $80 and $100. Anyways, the Airwalks do look good and feel good on my feet, but I can't help feel that I paid a little to much for a pair of walking shoes. read more

Thanks for your help Eli at Foot Locker UTC! So personable, fun, and made our shopping experience great! I wasn't so hot about spending $200 on my husbands workout shoes. When we shared with Eli what we hoping to find within a $100 budget, he was so nice and helpful. Still attending to us with care and small talk that was keeping us giggling and yet still being so informative with his product knowledge. Made the acceptance of spending $200 on shoes a little easier. When we finally picked a pair, they didn't have the color we were looking for in store, so he was kind enough to order them for us in store with free shipping to our home! Sweet!! Turned out, they were on sale and we got them for $80 with FREE shipping!! SCORE!!!! Thanks a million! We look forward to making our next purchase here in the future! read more

I've gotten shoes here before but the last few trips the customer service has been terrible. The staff seems more into personal conversations than helping clients. A week ago I snagged a pair of the Olive Green retro V's and asked about the women's white retro IV that released today. The manager told me they would arrive on Wednesday but couldn't sell them until Saturday. I asked about a reservation or deposit and he said no we sell them when we open. So I show up today and they aren't selling any. The manager said they did a raffle for them, and that he mentioned it to me last week. BS. If I were willing to put money down for the shoes, of course I would enter a raffle for free. I told him he didn't say anything about that and he continued to escalate the argument until I walked off to call another store for the shoes. I won't be buying from this place again. read more

Walked in with my husband to see if there was anything we liked. We were immediately greeted upon walking in. Once we had picked our shoes out i turned to look for an employee to get out sizes and the majority of the employees were bunched up at the register laughing and joking somewhat like highschool kids slacking off. One of the employees that was doing rounds checking on all the customers asked if we needed any help and he went back to grab what we needed. Once we headed to the register the female cashier was just too serious and awkward just asked who helped us, for an email, we paid and done. No "hi are you ready to pay" "did you find everything ok?" Any simple type of customer service was avoided. The gentlemen that helped us was asian-American very nice and helpful. But the cashier was a chubby mexican female overall just awful. Truly disappointed. read more

The gentleman Cole assisting me was very helpful in my shoe-search. I do notice negative comments below, of unattending-attendants, but what I did see, was that the manager-looking-lady, on August 24, had everyone on their toes, and if they had their backs turned away from me, she made sure they turn them around to face me. Overall good process from the shoe searching to the checkout. I, to this day, am quite satisfied with with my purchase, I'd likely recommend and visit again. read more

Me and my girlfriend we're able to walk in and had great customer service when receiving out shoes :)

If the shoe fits, wear it. If the shoe is expense, go someplace else. Regardless of the cost, the service should always be out standing where ever you go and the service here was excellent. Even though I did not buy any shoes, because the shoe did not fit, the service people here were very helpful in finding or I should say suggesting exactly what shoe size I should get online. So, I went online and ordered a pair of shoes and when those shoes arrived it was a perfect fit. -------------------------------------------- Follow Your Money at www.ExpenseTracker.us read more

Don't bother coming here for limited releases. I literally witnessed employees saving shoes for friends/regulars. I came here before opening and just wanted to pick up a pair of nmds for my girlfriend while other people were waiting for AirMax 97 releases. They opened the door and told everyone that they werent going to receive the AirMax and that their shipment of nmds were coming in about an hour. I waited there and whenever an employee asked me if I needed help, i reminded them that I was just waiting for the NMDs. When they told me that their delivery came, I was pretty confident I would get a pair since I was the first one there, but instead they sold off multiple pairs to some lady paying cash and told me they didn't have any sizes near what I was asking for even though I was literally the first one there and waited almost an hour. So after wasting an hour here, I went to Fashion Valley's Foot Locker and saw the same lady buying NMDs with cash. The employees at this location were also joking around with her like she was a friend or a regular. 100% backdooring. Shady business. read more

One of the reasons why I shop at Foot Locker is for their exclusives. Each distributor (Foot Locker, Finish Line, etc.,) makes deals with manufacturers (Nike, Reebok, etc.,) for exclusive rights to release certain shoes for a predetermined amount of time. Usually Foot Locker does the best job with Nike exclusives and Jordan brand, so they always get a look from me. Another reason I shop here is for their athletic gear. If I can't make it to a Nike outlet to load up on clearance items, I go to Foot Locker for their swag. Whether it's sweats or basketball shorts, the quality is always there both in cost and in durability. One thing I don't go to Foot Locker for is customer service. They don't work off commission, they work here for employee discounts and to keep the shoes they want off the shelves long enough to snatch it when it gets marked down. The associates aren't paid that well and they probably have a full-time job anyway. Or they're students, live at home, and spend 50% of their paycheck in the store. How else could they afford to buy anything here? If you want great customer service, then go to a Niketown, a New Balance store, or Nordstrom. You won't get great customer service at Foot Locker, but they will get you a pair of shoes if you're holding one of the display shoes. And that's the rub baby... read more

If I wanted help from someone who knew as much about running shoes as I do, I would have asked one of my girlfriends along with me. Upon entering the store, I wasn't greeted. I can deal with that. I stand looking puzzled at the vast array of running shoes before me. Nikes, Reeboks... Where to begin? A little assistance would be nice. It took 5 minutes before someone asked me if I needed help. Uh, yeah I do! The sales rep didn't prove to be of any assistance. I asked him to explain to me the differences between all of the Nike Lunars. "Oh... I don't know. I think they are all the same." Surprised, I asked "Really??! This shoe is $30 more expensive than the other one." "Yeah, no, they are the same." Frustrated, I picked up the shoes to find the differences myself. I read them and told him, "This shoe says 'Dynamic support,' and this one doesn't. Maybe, this one has more support than the other one?" "Oh. Yeah, that must be it." WOW. You were absolutely no help. I would give them 1 star, but the guy told me that he thought the purple shoe looked best, and I happened to agree with him. :) read more

My daughter had a basketball game at UCSD, so we decided to stop here to look at basketball shoes after her game . From the time we walked in the door, customer service was excellent. Every single employee was very friendly and helpful. Brandon helped her select the right pair of shoes for her. We appreciated that he did not try to sell us the most expensive pair, but actually took the time to talk to her and ask appropriate questions about what she needed and wanted. She is very happy with her new shoes. Thank you Brandon! read more

When I came in, there was one other customer and about 4 or 5 employees. They were either talking to each other or playing on their phones. Nobody greeted me but they definitely saw me. I stood there looking at shoes, had questions, wanted to try stuff on and nobody asked if I needed anything. I finally went up to a group of 3 employees and asked for help. They looked clearly annoyed, one sighed grabbed the shoe and said what? I asked for the size, he said nope don't have it. Then returned to his conversation. So rude! I thought u want me to buy shoes here?! Guess not! So I spent my money on 3 pairs of shoes elsewhere. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I was holding three shoes. I finally counted loud enough for the empty store could hear "wow look there is 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,9 employees just standing around talking and not one has asked me for help". Of course someone finally came and helped. I asked For a half size smaller. They said they didn't have it so I just went on my cell and looked if I could order online. There was an online sale of 20% off if you spend $75. I was buying a Pair of Jordan's and Air Force ones So spending close to $300. I asked if they would honor that. THEY SAID NO! I was like wtf? So I literally paid online to get my discount and choose the pick up in store option. So I sat there staring at the manager (some blonde chick) and said ok I guess I will be back to get my $60 cheaper shoes. People have no customer service. Basically just waisted my time. They NEVER answer the phone! This is extremely annoying and can be a bit of an inconvenience. I live almost 30 min from this store, so when I'm looking for something specific, I'd like to know if it's actually in stock before I waste a trip. But since they never pick up the phone, this is usually what happens. But to be fair, once you get to the store the staff is friendly and helpful. My problem is that I'd never have to go there if they'd JUST ANSWER. read more

My son needed to exchange his shoes ASAP. The ones we just got were rubbing against his feet and hurting. The sales associate and the manager were great! They got the shoes we needed, my son tried them on and they felt great. He tried on a different pair just for comparison. The manager checked back in on us. Then my son confirmed which ones he wanted and the manager was right back over to help us. Nice and easy! The manager and everyone we spoke with were great and super helpful! We really value excellent customer service and that's just what we got! I think this was our first time at this location. My son and I were both super happy with our experience. The manager of this store, I believe his name is Chris Falcon, should not be a manager. He applied the military discount and the vip promo code in the past. Today I had another vip promo code and said he couldn't combine the discount and he never has in the past. I said yes you did and on receipt it doesn't say I cannot combine discount codes but please show me where I can see that those promotional codes cannot be applied. I am not joking, when I say literally the manager WALKED AWAY without saying ONE WORD and went to the back of the store and never came back. A sales associate had to complete my order. How is this guy a manager? His staff is afraid to ask him any questions cause he treats employees and customers so horrible. read more

Would've gave this place less stars, but since I got the shoes I wanted I added 1 extra. The service was cool. But the only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the employee who seemed to be the one in charge. Otherwise, she did fetch the shoe size I ask for so I can't be too mad. read more

I walked in with a friend to find a new pair of running shoes. There were maybe 4 other customers and 4 employees. I was looking at the displays and when I turned around to ask for my size one guy was on the phone, another employee was just walking around the store looking bored, another one helping a customer and I finally got the attention of one the last one. He came over and I asked him some questions which he didn't really seem to know the answers too. I was kind of disappointed at this point and was ready to leave. The guy had turned around and as i was putting shoes back a lady came to help me. She was able to give me the information I was looking for and recommended shoes that would work best for me. If it wasn't for her I would have given this place a 1 star review. I work in customer service too and I would not get away with this type of behavior. read more

Do not come to this store if you are looking for good customer service. I had bought a pair of shoes from this location only to realize the sole was coming apart when I got home. I took the shoes back to the store the next day and the manager who was working said he would only be able to replace it, not give me a refund. I said ok, and he went to the back to look for my size. He comes back out empty handed and says they do not have my size in stock and he would have to order it from the manufacturer. He gave them a call only to find out that the manufacturer not only does not have my size but the shoe I purchased has been discontinued. He said my only option would be to buy another shoe and pay the difference. At this point I was fed up with the whole situation I decided just to throw in the towel and choose another shoe I liked. It was only an extra $10 but that didn't make up for the fact that I wasn't able to get e full refund for my damaged shoe I had JUST bought. I was not happy at all. I mean, how could you sell discontinued or damaged shoes and not be able to offer a refund? Absolutely ridiculous! I will not be coming back! read more

Will never return to Footlocker UTC in San Diego. You are better off shopping online and having shoes delivered. I purchased shoes for my son about 4 weeks ago and then another pair this week for my nephew. Both visits to the store were identical. Several sales associates standing around, never offering to help. Had to ask if they could measure my child's foot and they handed me the foot measure to do it myself. The sales associate then seemed reluctant to get the shoes from the back. Another sales associate was asked to ring up the sale. The only thing she said during checkout was, "What's your email?" - I returned to the store this week to purchase shoes for my nephew with the same experience. My sister commented that it would have been easier to look in the back for the shoes herself and checkout online. Never again! read more

Came in today looking for a pair of cross trainers. I looked high, I looked low, I even looked in the kid's section, not a pair to be found. You'd think the only people looking to buy athletic shoes are runners or basketball junkies. After failing to get the attention of any of the workers, I said eff it and left. Fortunately Sports Chalet is in the same mall so I headed over there. They had a decent selection of cross trainers (along with running and bball shoes) as well as a pretty attentive and helpful sales person (good stuff Lamar). read more

It's been ages since I've stepped into a Foot Locker. Not being a huge "shoe guy" at all I usually own one pair of shoes and stick with them for years until they are embarrassingly worn out. But this time it was for a nephew so we went. It wasn't very busy for the most part for the hour we were there. We did get pretty attentive service with the employee who was helping us going back and forth a few times. No complaints there. I think its just me and my shoe lifestyle but I'm certainly not used to spending so much on shoes....so one can go and get shoes in general for cheaper but if you're into the sport wear lifestyle I can see why Foot Locker is still a mainstay. read more

Worst costumer service I've ever seen anywhere. Usually it's not a big deal in shoe store because the interaction is limited to bringing out shoes. I asked for a size 11, 10 1/2 at the smallest on 3 pairs of shoes to try on. Ten minutes goes by and he brings out 1 pair of size 10s. I asked him if he didn't have any larger and he replied with an annoyed "no." He then proceeded to text on his phone without asking if I needed any further help. I came in prepared to spend at least $200 and the employee was completely fine with me leaving without any effort to make a sale. Went next store to Vans and they were much more accommodating and friendly. read more
