I brought my son to Foot Locker in the Galleria Mall in Cheektowaga, NY so we could both get sneakers. The sole of mine was flapping off and he had a hole in the big toe of his sneakers. The salesman told my son that the sneakers he liked were $130. I explained to them both that I didn't want to spend that much, that we didn't want to go over $100. My son looked at two pairs, one for $80 and one for $90. The salesman again picked up the original $130 sneaker and said "these are really the middle of the road" and then he walked us down the wall saying these are about $180. I again said to them both, mostly to my son, that we weren't going to spend over $100. Again the salesman picked up the $130 shoe and said "these are really the middle." I again said that I wasn't going to spend that much. We left the store and went to Dicks and Famous Footwear, but after being sold on the expensive sneakers, nothing else interested my son. We went home with my flapping sneakers and his big toe ventilated sneaker.
I'm terribly disappointed with that salesman. The only consolation is that in his insensitivity he lost not just one, but two sales. read more
