A very patient salesman showed me a few suits in my size and price range and had the on-site tailor fitting me in no time. I picked up a designer overcoat on the day I picked up the suit thanks to an awesome lady at the register.

Overall the suit was still baggy after a hem and taper through the leg and seat. Tailor didn't want to do a modern, more youthful, slimmer silhouette style for me. Waste of money.

Also called and the guy on the phone was extremely rude. Couldn't return the shoes. I wouldn't recommend this company at all. Wish I had done my homework and gone with my gut and not bought from them. There are better companies out there to buy your sport shoes and clothing from. Buyer beware!

There were three workers at the register area and not one of them acknowledged our presence - they were more concerned with who was going on break and what that person was going to eat. Priorities!!! We looked for a good 35 minutes and never once got a "Can I help you find something?" "Are you finding everything okay?" At time to pay, there was one register open and the line was building. Over comes sunshine worker and says, I'll open but I'm only taking credit cards because so and so is on break. "Who of you is paying with credit card I can take you over here!" No one answers, workers says "Oh Well!" and leaves to fold tee shirts. Not cool! I won't be back! I'd rather drive to a mall and visit the Gap or order on line and not deal with the attitude.

The zipper on my cabin carry-on had jammed completely and I couldn't get the bag open or closed properly. I brought it in expecting to leave it for at least a few hours if not a day or two. Instead, the person helping me took a look, got to work, and had the zipper unstuck and running smoothly in about 15 minutes while I waited. What really impressed me is that he didn't just fix it, he showed me how to handle it myself if it ever happens again. His technique: overstuff the bag so the fabric draws out and the tension increases around the zipper track, then give the caught area a few firm flicks with the edge of a credit card. The added tension plus the flicking releases the fabric from the zipper teeth. Simple, clever, and the kind of trade knowledge you only get from people who have been doing this for a long time.

I filled out the paperwork on the Internet and mailed the leather bags to their Manhattan shop. I received a call the day the handbags were received. The bags were returned by FedEx and have a glossy luster and shine now. The black bag looks like new and the white is better but not perfect.

Some of the problems were obvious and others were hard to pinpoint, but the effect was a mishmash. My daughter called Susan and after several reassuring texts, made an appointment to come into The Wedding Dresser. From the get-go Susan understood what was wrong & how to fix it. Her team went to work. The dress was how it should have been - masterful work, a talented team, and able to pull it all off in record time!

Susan quoted me over $1200 for this adjustment, and when I said this was more expensive than my dress cost, I received the most unprofessional and rude response and was quite taken aback. "Yes, we pay humans who live and eat and pay rent in the United States, which is very different from the people who made your dress so it is usual that for dresses under $1000 alterations cost more than the dress. Good luck with your hunt." They don't know where I got my dress from, and I'm also someone living in NYC and doing my best. I think people are allowed to charge what they want or think their skill is worth, but I also think the wedding industry has lost their minds. I found an independent professional who did a beautiful job and charged a fair price. I have other dresses to be adjusted until my big day, and had considered saving them if I needed help for my main dress which will be more expensive, but based on this rude and entitled response, I already know to never go back to this business again.

The first was for my Maid of Honor dress for my sisters wedding. He made the dress really look the best it possibly could've and stayed in contact with me during the process. Could not have been happier with the way the dress fit in the end. The second time I saw Mark was equally as wonderful for a very different reason. I brought in a formal dress that I thought was too short and needed to be made into cocktail length. He saw me on short notice and fit me into a busy day. Once I got there and tried on the dress, he convinced me the dress was beautiful just as it was, even forgoing a paycheck for what he thought looked best. That's someone who cares more about making his clients look good than making money. Very hard to find in nyc. End of the day, mark is a talented, communicative, and detailed tailor but more importantly, he's an ethical and kind business man who'll do anything to make his clients look good. I took a new pair of trousers into Mark's shop yesterday (around 2 PM) to get them hemmed and a button replaced. He was incredibly friendly and broke down exactly what he was going to do, and also shared considerations that I didn't think about (such as saving some of the legging material in case they shrink from the wash). He contacted me today around 1 PM and asked that I come in to get them; the results were beautiful and I've never been happier with tailoring before. I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking to get alterations done on their clothing! On my end, I'll be back in a couple of weeks to get my button-up shirts altered. Thank you, Mark!
