I noticed Surati Gotalo was new on the menu, so I tried it for the first time. I asked them to make it spicy because I love mirchi, and they made it just the way I like it. It had a good kick and was full of flavor. Definitely something I would order again. For the kids, we ordered Paneer Tikka Masala baby mild. My daughter had it with Garlic Naan, and we ordered Tava Roti for the other preschooler. They did a good job keeping the paneer mild enough for the kids without making it bland. For ourselves, we also had the Chili Garlic Naan, which was fresh, garlicky and had a nice kick. Their Masala Soda is one of our favorites and something we love ordering whenever we come here. It's refreshing, chatpata and goes really well with the food. The ambiance is also very nice, and I especially like the booth seating. It makes it comfortable to sit, enjoy the meal and manage the little ones without feeling rushed. After four visits and trying almost all their dishes, this has become one of our regular spots. Good vegetarian choices, kid-friendly spice options, comfortable seating and consistently good food keep bringing us back.

We were also very impressed by A2B team's execution of a served Banana Leaf lunch for over 200 guests, which went without a glitch. Our American guests were most astonished with this presentation. Even many of our Indian guests living in the US appreciated they could enjoy a Banana-Leaf service here in the USA. Many thanks to Mr. Ramamoorthy of A2B who was a pleasure to work with all along. We highly recommend A2B Catering & our kudos all around.

The rice was mushy, and naan looked like it had been retoasted/not fresh. Then on top of that, the manager guy is complaining to me!! Madness lol, this place has gone downhill big time. An Indian restaurant that can't make simple dishes like daal and rice properly is a big red flag.

The ambiance is really nice too due to the amazing scents and how quiet it tends to be inside. The service as well is really good too as they are very nice and able to get everything with pretty much no problems at all. This is a good place to check out whenever you're here in East Windsor or need to get a quick bite. For lunch or dinner, this is the place to go. No complaints or anything otherwise as it is worth checking this place out if you can.

The interiors look eerily similar to its predecessors, but also seem to be unfinished and bland based on some exposed spots on their walls. The ambiance (2.5/5) leaves much to be desired as there was no music in the main dining area, but there seemed to be some noise coming from a dining area on the opposite side of the restaurant. The menu is typical of the many Indian eateries popping up in the area with a huge variety and a selection of fusion dishes as well as from various regions in India. Note that appetizers are a bit on the pricy side, with some approaching the cost of main courses. I started off with a mango lassi (3/5) which seemed pretty unmemorable and average compared to other Indian restaurants. For meals, we went with the paneer butter masala, the Punjabi palak paneer, and some plain naan. Meals come with complimentary rice, although we had to flag down the staff when we wanted more or needed water refilled. Both the paneer butter masala and Punjabi palak paneer (3.5/5) were tasty and a slight edge in taste going to the paneer butter masala, but we've had better at other area Indian restaurants. The naan (3/5) was average (note there's an extra charge if you want butter on the naan). Service (3/5) was friendly, but they clearly needed more staff to attend to all the guests. Overall, I'd rate Desi Dhamaka a 3.5/5, but happy to round up as they are new to the area and have some room for growth (they need to work on the music and spruce up the decor). While we wouldn't object to eating here again, we have our area favorites for Indian food a short drive away that we'd rather go to.
