The only issue I have with this location is that they are VERY slow at check out. I waited almost 15 minutes just to pay for a single croissant with only five people ahead of me, which is a bit crazy in my opinion. I really wanted a coffee but at that point knew it was going to take another 15 minutes so I just ran next door to blue lane. Overall worth it for a little treat as long as you aren't in a rush on the weekends! I really recommend the nutella cronut:)

It's not the place I go to when looking for a life-altering culinary experience--I go there when looking to feed my face fast and move along with my mission. I usually get one of their savory pastries or a croissant, or perhaps a pain au chocolat if the urge hits me. They all taste okay, and they get the job done. The only thing I've had there that was a definite "Never Again" was the hot dog--a desiccated disaster in every way imaginable. On the flip side, the cheese quiche has been a winner those times I had it. It didn't take me back to the Alsace, but it was better than average. I had some cake from here recently. Visually, it looked fantastic, and the interior was moist (dry cake is a crime!), and it had all kinds of chocolate on it and in it, but the flavor was just "good". My socks remained on after tasting it. It was like they left the something special out that would have taken it from good to memorable. It looked great, but the taste didn't quite live up to the visuals. I'd eat it again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it for someone's birthday. The people working there are nice, but it can be a bit slow sometimes to make it through the register during the breakfast or lunch hours, especially if there's an indecisive person in front of you who changes their mind every fifteen seconds while picking up some pastries for the office, and she's oblivious to the five people waiting in line behind her. Although it's not the sort of place that's going to me primary destination, I'll keep on going here when I'm starving and need something to get me through my trip to the Home Depot. It gets the job done.

I'd like to share how pleased I am about this tea cafe. I came here on a cold and snowy Saturday,…read morebecause my friends live nearby and I was going over their house to hang out, but I wanted to get tea first. The employees behind the counter were cheerful, and they say a phrase in Japanese that means, "welcome," which is a nice touch. The first thing I noticed in the shop was the matcha mill. They actually have two matcha mills running the entire time, and the employee later told me that it's milling and grinding the matcha to get the freshest matcha possible. Grinding and serving the matcha from its fresh ground state really makes their matcha stand out, and I could definitely tell. I was thinking about getting a cold matcha anyway because I didn't want to microwave it later, but they informed me that their machine for hot matcha wasn't working. That is not the best situation for people who wanted a hot drink, especially since it was so cold and damp outside, but I was really interested in a cold drink anyway, so it didn't really bother me. I got their red bean matcha with oat milk, and I was so happy when I drank it because it tasted like actual real matcha. I've gotten matcha at Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts and I haven't expected anything phenomenal, but I've also gotten matcha at matcha shops and the matcha just doesn't taste right because it was too sweet. This matcha, however, tasted exactly the way matcha should taste! I really, really enjoyed my drink so much, and they serve it unsweetened. I didn't even need to put sweetener in it, but I did put a tiny bit of simple syrup. All I have to say is definitely try this place. You will not be disappointed. Their matcha is amazing, and I am going back to this place every time I visit my friend's house.

I know this place has reviews all over the place...IGNORE THEM....this is the BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH…read moreI have had in a long time. So we came here before a movie and got their lunch special which is a chicken sandwich, a giant portion of fries and a drink for $14. I felt like it was incredibly reasonably priced (they also have other specials throughout the week like Wing Wednesday and Taco Tuesday). The sandwiches took a minute to make because I believe everything is fresh to order. The bread was so delicious, like a brioche and the chicken was perfectly crispy but juicy inside. I don't know what sauce they put on the chicken but it was not overpowering and brought everything together so well. I picked the mild chicken flavor and it was exactly that, just a tiny quick, so now I know I can do a medium. The fries were crunchy and perfect too! Hubby and I got the exact same thing and we could not stop talking about how much we loved the sandwich. So ignore the nay-sayers and come trying out for yourself!

This Nashville hot chicken place has potential, especially if you just focus on the chicken…read more I hadn't been at this strip mall next to Costco in ages, and along with this chicken joint, there are a few other new shops. Country style decor but definitely halal. I saw the menu online and noted that prices seemed a bit steep. Luckily the in-store prices seemed about $1-$2 less, but still kind of high. I ordered the 2 tenders with fries at medium heat, Mac n cheese and a chocolate shake. There was only one other table occupied at lunch time. I waited about 12 minutes for my takeout order. The tenders were the best part of the meal, juicy meat with a light but crispy batter that I was envisioning on bone in skin on parts. I went with medium spice which felt more like spicy to me, I'd probably do mild in the future. The blazin sauce was ok, the ranch was good and helped control the heat. The generous portion of fries were not good. Soggy and salty, I tried to crisp them up in the oven and it helped a little , but way too salty. The Mac and cheese was also a generous portion, but seemed to be a more child friendly(bland) version. Almost like a cheez wiz sauce. I did not like. Lastly the shake was very good. They advertise using Hagen Daz, and it showed. Service was professional but kind of cold. No hello or thank you. I'm still kind of undecided if I'll return. This was an expensive lunch that I wasn't able to eat half of. I am curious to try their smash burger, but at the end of the day prefer to spend my food dollars at places that appreciate my business.
