the only thing good about this place is their hours: open from 6am-12am. so its good to know if you need something, its good to have a place that opens late. you can never find help when you need it. i think all the ppl who works here are stationed at the cashier. yes, the prices are cheaper, but the quality of the food is not all that. parking is horrible too, i've been noticing a trend, no one collects the shopping carts, people don't return it to the proper place, its really annoying. read more

I'm new to the area and I like this grocery store so far. A big plus that they carry my daughter's baby food that no other stores carry, BeechNut. You guys also carry a certain chocolate that no one other than the 99 cent store caries! Service is decent and friendly. Prices are reasonable . The lines aren't too bad. This place is GUTTER!! I went in here 2 days ago, despite advising myself to not bother, but it's the closest grocery store to my house. I bought a package of frozen pizza snacks, got them home and they were COVERED in mold!!! The odor emanating from the packaging was horrendous!! The worst service in the meat department!!! Today I went in to buy some meat and some short dark skin man with glasses in the meat department had the worst attitude I have ever seen! I went in this Food 4 Less today with my sister to purchase some All detergent up to 5 for 99 cent using the Food 4 Less app. The customer service from the manager Hugo was unacceptable. He was rude and he kept saying it's on yall because the app was not working and it clearly stated the coupon was for the ALL detergent. Visited this store on April 3rd, 2017 around 1230-1pm. I live in the area so I shop at this location about 2 to 3 times a week ( by choice). Bought a few things, paid cash ( always do! No EBT! ever!), left the store, went to my car, car would not start. Had to call AAA for help. I bought Ice Cream so I go back into the store to return it cause I was not sure how long it would be before AAA arrived and did not want to risk the ice cream melting. I go back into the store, go to the Customer Service Desk and ask the cashier to call the manager so that I could return my 2 items. She proceeds to track down the manager on duty at the time. A guy in a blue shirt and black/ khaki pants, yellow name tag, proceeds to the front desk EATING A PASTRY OF SOME SORT!!! He proceeds to the desk, mouth full of food and the pastry in his right hand and asks " What can I do for you?", I looked at him with disbelief (and dodging hoping that he did not spit some of the food on me while speaking) that he was eating on the sales floor AND never attempted to remove or swallow the food and informed him that I wanted to return some Ice Cream that I'd just bought. He pointed to the register and said " over there". I spoke back to him trying to confirm that his pointing meant for me to go to a register to get my money back( wonder why the cashier did not inform me of this). He never let go of the piece of pastry AND was still chewing and smacking!!!!! I looked at his name tag AND............. HE WAS THE STORE MANAGER AND HIS NAME WAS MIKE!!!!!!!!! Store Manager? Really? Since when has it ever been ok for a member of management to assist a customer with a mouth full of food AND the un eaten " still in hand?" I shop in many cities and I know for A FACT that if I were in Beverly Hills or even one of the nicer cities such as Long Beach, Cerritos, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, there is NO WAY that a member of management would EVER approach a customer in such a RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNEDUCATED way. ( not even a non exempt employee) There are several places to shop for groceries and you try to patronize the stores in your area and this is what we get? I am appalled and the store manager Mike should be ashamed of himself for leading this type of example!!!! I used to have 5 stars for this store but unfortunately this store has changed so much for the worse. Half of the items are missing the price, everything goes out of stock quick, and to top it off, the prices at store are different than on the shopping paper. That is not right! Because that's false advertisement. Not to mention that they give one price there but when I reach the cash register, I get charged more for the item. If you are not Spanish speaking you are treated like dirt!!! I was standing at the butcher dept and the young man working there was talking all friendly joking in Spanish to a costumer and both taking their time so when the costumer was in another side checking the display ;I said excuse me do ihave to take a number because other are starting to come .He said I'm helping him and wait. So they continued their jokes which is irritating to someone who don't speak the language.Upon checking out same all Spanish language. I noticed frequent interruptions to answer questions in Spanish and even left me in the middle of scanning my item to go to the aile look for an item for Hispanic customer .Where I work we cannot talk our Filipino language so we don't offend patients but the Hispanics can do it.I'm sure they like to be here so English should be spoken in places of work. read more

Very disappointing that the only pesto sauce available at this location all jars expired since 8-2018 and spinach expired 4 days ago. I complained nicely to the manager and he didn't care and was in a rush and was not accommodating. A nice man working the meat department did try to assist me with the pesto sauce. I will not be a customer at this location and the seafood was spoiled a month ago as well. I hate writing negative reviews like this. I wish the manager took more pride in taking care of his store and customers. read more

I like Food 4 less alot, I'm there almost every 2 weeks to shop for groceries. The people are helpful and the store is always clean. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the store leader. I've recently witnessed him chasing and fighting a homeless man. I never write reviews, but I think this called for it. The store leader; as identified on his uniform; chased a homeless man down the block and was beating and attacking him. It was a disturbing sight to see, plus it was very unprofessional. Even bystanders just watched in aw. and a few even joined in to stop the worker from beating the guy. The Food 4 Less employee received a mouthful of hate from the civilians who witnessed this. The mans basket and other goods flew into the main st and could of caused an accident. Police showed up and the Store leader lied and said he was attacked and threatened by the homeless man. I was appalled. I just think this behavior is unacceptable and I can't believed it happened at Food 4 Less. read more

it was 9/05/12 at 10:29 pm. me and my girlfriend bought two racks of ribs here to cook for her classmates the next day. when we got home and opened them we realized they smelt really bad. when i walked back in no one was behind the customer service desk at that moment. one of the cashiers, belia, noticed me and offered her assistance. she was really nice. i went to get two more ribs and she let me open them to see if they were ok. i ended up opening about 3 or 4 -2 of which i brought home. she thanked me and said she will inform the meat department. i will be returning here again soon. read more
