I live in Greenwich, and this is just a short drive…read moreaway - the machines seem expensive (but then again I'm used to southern pricing) - it runs around $6 for a load in the largest machine (which honestly is so huge probably no one needs to use this regularly) $4.50 for the medium and $2.50 for the small ones. A TON of clothes can fit even in the smallest one, so if you're just one or two people who do laundry every couple of weeks and divide your clothes by color then probably use the smallest one. They have two change machines there which I've only had a problem with once - I put a $20 in and it only gave me $10 back. I have been cautious ever since and have used smaller denominations but it's never happened again. It's super clean, and a lot of space. The neighborhood is fine, I have never checked out the restaurant the other review mentioned but I will next time I go! Drying clothes is super cheap - 25 cents / 7 minutes, and on the high setting my clothes usually take 28 minutes - and that's all the clothes from the 2-3 small/medium loads that i usually do! Sometimes if a lot of towels it will take another 7 minutes. So all in all, not that bad!! The middle aged white guy and the young Hispanic guy who work there and sit behind the glass are really nice and helpful too.

We recently had an issue which I brought to management. While I didn't believe the issue was contentious, the team declared they where apprehensive to continue with my business. The reason for the positive review is that they were proactive in response, resolution and professionalism. I do not judge a business or person on their mistakes, rather their response. I would recommend The Laundry Room, and I hope their business continues to thrive in our Neighborhood.

It's with sadness that I write this negative review as I have used this cleaner for over 22 years…read more Because of sentimental reasons, I often overlooked little glitches like broken buttons or persisting stain, torn shirts etc. However, the last incident broke the back of the camel. I had two separate trousers dropped off by two separate people who work for me. However I had only one item that was delivered back. When I called the ValuClean, the gentleman who works at the front answered and refused to listen to me. He claimed that my daughter had picked up one of the trousers (my daughter has been away and never been to this cleaner), accused me of being crazy, said he had other customers and yelled that he did not have time for me and hung up the phone. I called back and the same thing happened. I eventually got the owner on the phone and we sorted out what the confusion was . It turns out that the same house help person works for two families and she picked up my item thinking that it belonged to the other family, Though the owner apologized to me on my ask, on behalf of the employee, we will not come back to this merchant-one who treats its 20+ year long customer this way.

There are plenty of other cleaners in Rye, I just seem to be very happy with this one, they never let me down.

When I first met the owner, Mel, he said he would be able to do the work I wanted and gave me a price. Moving forward a couple of months, I went back many times, and I found that work was either not done (after giving him 2+ months) or things were rushed. I had to call him almost every time, to check on the status of my dress. Not once did someone reach out to me about coming in. In addition, Mel initially said he would hold my dress in the shop, since my wedding was a decent amount of months away. When it was ready, I went to look at the final touches and was told I needed to take it home. The price was also MUCH higher, than what I was told, initially. While the work was being done, an increase in price was never communicated to me. Last week, I took my dress to an actual bridal shop, because I was not happy with the work on my dress. The bridal shop listened to my concerns and had to undo a lot of the work, that had been done, by Mel. On top of what I initially paid, I now how to pay to get it fixed. Furthermore, Gruber's did clean my dress and did take it in a lot, since it wasn't my correct size; but when it came to details, I wish he would have just said that he was not able to do what I wanted and it would have been better to take it to a bridal shop.

Well the Hilton I was staying at didn't have machines so I pulled this place up on Yelp. Now I have a washer and dryer at home so it had been many many years since I've been in a laundry mat.
