As Humphrey Bogart might have asked: "Of all the Chinese restaurants named 'Fong's' in Rexburg and St. Anthony (there are now 3), why did I have to walk into this place?" Well, I did and I was pleasantly surprised. Our dishes were freshly prepared and the portions were generous. The Kungpao Chicken was unusually good; the best I've tried in the area so far. The Beef Lo Mein was also delicious, as were their curry dishes. While their lunch specials menu looks suspiciously similar to every other Chinese restaurant in Southeast Idaho (or the USA for that matter), the deals are good and the quality way above average. While this is your basic fast food version of Chinese food, it is still tasty and satisfying. I'm no food snob, and I'm not too proud to admit that every now and then even I get a hankerin' for Mandarin Chicken & Chow Mein (No. 5).

Egg drop soup and spring rolls.

Open on Sunday and they serve beer! The desperate swing into St. Anthony on a roadtrip and so grateful to find this place. Good food, nice staff, extremely clean diner type with an exceptional chandelier. Highly recommend spring rolls and lo mein. And beer. Beware of Sunday gospel music on the radio (the sappy kind). The best of town regardless for sure.

if I can give ZERO stars or even NEGATIVE, I would've. I don't normally write bad reviews but this place is absolutely a disgrace to Chinese food. & trust me, I know what 'authentic chinese food' is considering I'm chinese. my advice? GO TO PANDA EXPRESS INSTEAD!!! their food is 10x more authentic than this place. it's a rip off!!! my so call orange chicken is just a plate of fried balls, totally not even close to appealing. we also got the chow mein lunch special and let me just say, one of the first thing I asked was "where's the noodles??" we counted & there's only about 10 short stubby little noodles underneath a bunch of unappetizing vegetables. none of us finished our food. however, I will say that if for some reason you want to eat here, get the BBQ pork lo mein. my cousin was smart and ordered that; it was the only somewhat appealing and appetizing thing there. I've attached the photos of my orange chicken and the so call chow mein. as you can see, we barely finished it. the lo mein was the only thing finished.

    Gross.

Surprisingly awesome Chinese food near Yellowstone!…read more Visiting Yellowstone for 5 days and staying just outside the West Gate, in a tiny town so small it boasts exactly one traffic light -- so you know you're in for an adventure. We weren't expecting to find good Chinese food in bear-and-bison country, but stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant, and wow -- plot twist! We ordered the ELK sizzling platter, because... when in Yellowstone, eat like an elk? Surprisingly tender, smoky, and flavorful -- definitely a local specialty worth trying. The Sichuan popcorn chicken? Legit spicy, crispy, and could easily sneak into a Sichuan restaurant in Flushing without raising suspicion. The stir-fried large intestine was well-prepped (read: clean!) and delicious -- if you know, you know. Even the shrimp lo mein was decent, although it played it a bit safe, like that one cousin who always orders sweet and sour chicken at dim sum. Would I call it New York or San Francisco Chinatown-level? Nah. But for the middle of Yellowstone? Solid 90/100 -- and that's including bonus points for sheer surprise and elk swagger.

The location is not at the center of the west Yellowstone, but parking is easy here compared to parking at the other restaurants in the center. The place is very spacious. It's good for big groups! I strongly recommend this place if you are in the Chinese food mood.
