Upon finding this website for Haven hair, I was asked quite a few questions and asked to submit…read moresome pictures of my hair. Granted, I did this at like 2 in the Morning, desperate for a hair salon that I can get into, and used my photo search for some recent photos and got one of them wrong.. I did submit them thinking I had submitted my most recent but one of those 3 I believe was incorrect on its date stamp. They had notified me of this and that's when I realized that a photo I submitted wasn't of my most recent, as they asked. Now their process is unique but very lengthy so we went back and forth via email for a while and I had apologized for the mistake and I received her thoughts on integrity with a client and so forth and I absolutely agreed and understood and to my knowledge I really didn't send an incorrect photo purposely. I actually had 2 other photos that were taken that night so just really an error on my part, that I had apologized for and for which they agreed to move forward with doing my hair. I thought, this is awesome, finally Im going to get this hair handled. Well they asked me a plethora of questions and I answered them and I also let them know that my experiences in Florida have all been not good. I have been in Florida since 2021 and I get my hair done once a year, thats 3 hair appointments since 2025, I haven't had one. They asked about my hair products and so forth and I answered. So from hearing that I was a good match to then get an email saying I am not a good match really contradicted the integrity portion that they emailed me about, because here they were going back on their word. I was first shocked but then very disappointed due to hearing yes and then no. I have extremely long hair, to my hips to be exact and I have usually done full foils and a gloss with a natural brown base but the 3 times that Ive gotten it done here, at salons and paid $300 plus each time, They gave me reddish brown and zero dimension so absolutely Im going to share that nobody has gotten it right since I've been here. I appreciate their filtering process and I think that they should have kept their word and carried out the part that they agreed to. I am a firm believer in doing what you say even if you make a mistake. That's integrity and character. Im not here to bash them or their shop or their filtering process. Im sharing my own experience and I hope that they learn from this as I have and they keep to their original word. The vetting process was great but the overall result was mixed and extremely disappointing. Although I believe that the end result didn't uphold the integrity that was communicated, they were extremely respectful and professional in their emails and I do appreciate that, however, the process was long and took time and effort and didn't work out as it should have. Something to reflect upon as a possibility while applying, essentially for a hair appointment here.

I need an affordable place to get my hair done in the Tampa area. Kiara was pretty solid and I would have given 4 stars for her easily. However, Edward RUINED my hair. My hair is naturally very wavy/loose curls. He seemed to not really pay much attention when I was explaining what I wanted (layers with a face frame - my hair is also very thick and this allows it to fall naturally nicely). I wanted a few inches off but no shorter than 4 inches for the front few pieces - I had my graduation and job interviews coming up so I did not want anything drastic, just enough so I could style it and it would hold nicely without weighing itself down. He cut EASILY 4 inches off the whole thing. I could deal with it being short if it was at least done well, but he butchered it. It has no layers, yet is uneven. It seems like he started to layer and forgot and just started cutting. He was running 35 minutes late and was going very fast. I was patient and waited but he seemed to be really rushing (not my fault, don't take it out on my head). Halfway through I reminded to not cut shorter in the front because I need to be able to clip it back and he said he needed to even it and cut the front two chunks so they aren't even to my chin when straight (again - I have curly hair! This is awful!). He said several times I have a lot of hair and it is tricky. If he did not already have scissors to my head, his lack of confidence would have made me leave. I have had short cuts but this was just like he did not even know how to use scissors. It is so uneven and I have had people comment on this, be it when done or left natural. I cannot even get it fixed right now because it is too short to fix. But trust me, when I get it fixed, it will not be here. If you want a solid affordable haircut, Kiara will do. If you see Edward coming near you - RUN. read more
