Typically working with contractors has always been a problem with us. They always promise things they can't deliver just to get you to sign a contract. That is not the case with Foam Insulation Solution. Although they are based close to 50 miles away from us, when we scheduled our estimate they arrived at the promised time to provide a quote for our crawl space. Our home is located in a Flood zone and we've always had issues with mold, mildew and rodents. Amos the project manager inspected our crawl space and provided a great price for closed cell insulation and removal of our fiberglass. In addition to the price, he took the time to answer a variety of technical questions about the process, the product and other alternative approaches which in our case were not the best options. The price was within our budget and we scheduled the work for the following week. The crew arrived on time and stripped out our old insulation before spraying the new one. The work took more then half of day as part of the crawl space was very tight, however they ensured that all areas were covered . We provided payment and received (almost immediately) confirmation of payment and certification on the work that was done. I received a lot of useful information when I reached out to them and the project manager was able to schedule an appointment the same day for the Free Estimate. The project manager showed up on time and explained the process and benefits of spray foam insulation and in particular the difference between insulating with open and closed cell products. He recommend that in crawl spaces , closed cell will give us better and longer lasting results. We received a formal proposal the same afternoon and we scheduled the work within a few days. Wonderful team! Foam Insulation Solution is one of the 3 companies I contacted after having an energy audit done on my house. After the audit it became evident that we had to consider a good insulation product to improve the energy efficiency and comfort in our house. All 3 companies we called gave us comparable prices however Foam Insulation was the only one that followed up with a call and immediate email proposal and information. I hired them to add insulation in my roof and improve the insulation in my basement (between the rim joists) and the room above our garage. The crew showed up the day we had the appointment and very very pleasant and knowledgable. They answered all my questions and gave me progress reports as the work and day went by. I called Foam Insulation Solution because i have experienced freezing pipes in my first floor bathroom and adjacent kitchen. Previous reviews from former customers stated it worked for them. I met with Al, who thoroughly checked the 2 areas and my basement. He explained where would need to be opened up and what tiles would need to be removed in my bathroom. He assured me that they would do the least amount of damage/removal as possible. Al quoted the additional amount it would cost if my pipes ere not set up correctly. He accompanied the installers and advised them of where they needed to work, what to remove and expressed if they can do with less removal, it will be better. After they were done the cleaned up the areas. Everyone I encountered were professional and answered all my questions. The pricing was more than I expected but I am a firm believer in paying for good work.
