Out group had the mussels, fish tacos, steak sandwich and a few other items. The food was very good, reasonably priced and plated well. Portions were also a good size. Flavours were on point and seasoning was not over done. The decor was also really nice with a modern yet classic feel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. Additional service notes: 1. We didn't all receive waters until 45 minutes into the experience, and we had to ask multiple times for them. 2. The food service itself took a long time considering it wasn't super busy - mains took 1-1.5 hours after ordering. 3. When we finished our dinner we sat with dirty plates for a very long time before they were removed. 4. Coming from Toronto typically when bars/restaurants learn of a special occasion they will comp something or send out celebratory shooters to "get the party going" - could be the area, but was a little disappointed by the lack of acknowledgement from the establishment. However the Food was good, traditional pub fare. Nothing outstanding. Price was a little expensive for what you do get. Drinks were underwhelming. We don't recommend the margaritas. Tasted like bar lime - no tequila taste and for 12-13$ (Toronto pricing) they really should have tasted better considering. Surprised most drinks were $9+ for the area and they were out of coolers and had limited options. There was supposed to be live music but they didn't arrive or go on. (Part of the reason we chose this particular bar). That would have been nice to know ahead of time as we would have likely moved a reservation to a live music spot. All in all in the area that was close to us - Not bad. But not what we had anticipated when we reserved. Basic pub, nice patio - good view If you are looking for live music I would call and ask the day of, as the band/person never showed up to our evening as advertised. When we asked a local where to eat for lunch, she recommended this restaurant. I'm so glad we took their recommendation. Their food was delicious and the staff was very friendly! We ordered the Steeler Burger and Shaved Beef on a Bun with a side of home-cut fries and mashed potatoes. Asked for au jus (pan drippings from the beef) and gravy. With the pandemic going on and lockdown in place (no dine-in option available), we ordered our food to go and it took around 10-15 minutes to be ready. That was perfect timing for us to drive to Tim Hortons for some hot drinks to go with our hot food. When we returned, our food was already prepared and stayed warm in an insulated bag. The staff was very friendly and thought ahead for us and included utensils in our order and some packs of ketchup, in case we wanted to have it with our fries (which I did!). The food: Shaved beef on a bun - I was very happy with it overall. Dipping the sandwich in the au jus made it moist enough that every bite was juicy, savory and mouth watering. They definitely don't skimp on the beef! This is the first place where the meat inside my sandwich was larger than the bun. A messy food to eat in the car, but so well worth it. Steelers Burger - my boyfriend ate this one and the burger patty looked large and juicy. He only wished there was more sauce, but the burger was still good, especially with the condiments that added moisture and flavor (he asked for: lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onions and mustard). We really liked the fries/mashed potatoes and warm gravy together, especially on a very cold winter day (-21C). We'd like to thank the local, Jen, for her recommendation and we would happily recommend this restaurant to any other folks who are visiting in and around this area.

You can choose up to 6 fillings for the omelette for $1.00 each; I chose mushrooms and spinach and I was very pleased with my choices as it looked great and was delicious. My home fries and toast (on brown bread) were just as good. A couple of larger groups of people came and went while we were there; they were seated in the upper section on the opposite side of the venue to the entrance. The news was showing on the 2 big screen TVs that I saw. We had good service and once again, my overall impression of the quality of our visit was great.
