The live jazz is really what sets this place apart from the other pool halls, starting around 7 pm with what seems like maybe the house band and I think they have guests later in the night. It's the perfect atmosphere, fun lighting, lots of grungy writing on the walls, good indie music from the 2010s before the jazz starts. Plus the spacing of the tables is good so you're not constantly bumping into other players, which is a pet peeve of mine. The food: The volcano rolls and bikini had amazing flavor. They really do take care in sourcing the best ingredients. The chef, Issac, brought our burger to the table, and checked in afterwards. It was phenomenal. Layers of flavor. We only needed one, and it was a perfect split (yes they brought a knife to cut it). It deserves all its praise. The mochi fries were a nice add. We finished up with the Hokkaido Soft Serve, courtesy of Angela, our server. Outstanding, and thank you. Patron note, they often run out of burgers early, so an early reservation is recommended. It's near other stuff we like, and the music and vibes were that good on the first night. And if it sucks again, there's like a thousand other places in walking distance.
