He's the most awesome manager! Excellent service! A good manager! And works hard. Every time im here losing thousands of dollars, Lou makes me feel soooo much better! The lobster is divine! I eat about 30 just to myself, granted they are half lobsters. Lol. The service is excellent and everyone is so kind and lovely. I hope management recognizes what a gem Lou is!!! Ill always come here to eat the good food and bc of Lou!

I have been to the Tony Gwynn Sports Pub twice. The first time it was a regular sit-down restaurant…read moreand was great. But my most recent visit was for one of the special "endless dining" options. On select nights (Wed-Sun), they offer different endless dining options. I went on a Saturday, which was a "Surf & Surf" menu. LOTS of seafood items to select from, including lobster tails! Honestly, I loved this place. It was expensive ($75 per person), so I don't know that I would do it often, but it was a nice treat. The restaurant is not a traditional buffet, so that setup is a little strange. There is a main buffet line, where the staff will plate the food for you. And then if you want salads, oysters or shrimp there is a separate station for that, across one side of the room. And a dessert station on the other side of the room (I almost missed this one!). The over all theme of the place is a sports pub. So there is a bar and tons of TV's showing all the popular sporting events. And of course there are tons of Padre related memorabilia and images on the walls to enjoy.

Bordy's is on my list of two burger joints in San Diego who fits my taste. Their beef patties are flavorful and juicy! The customer service is great also. I love stopping at Brody's after I come back from shooting out in the backcountry. Oh, I took one home for my wife and she loved it just as much!

Sometimes the best food recommendations come from unexpected places... like the cashier at…read more7-Eleven. My son was actually asking for the bathroom and the cashier mentioned the places to eat that had indoor bathrooms. That 7-eleven only had porter potty. We came on a Sunday afternoon and the game area was full of people hanging out. My kid was excited to discover they had a pinball machine, which kept him entertained while we waited. Food: I ordered the smash burger with added mushrooms and bacon. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and the bun was soft and toasted just right. My son got the cheeseburger. He asked for everything on the side but ended up getting just cheese and lettuce. It still worked out. He also ordered a vanilla shake with Oreos mixed in. We were supposed to share it, but he ended up drinking most of it while my husband managed to sneak a few sips. My husband ordered the wings, which were saucy and satisfying. He was able to get half BBQ flavor and half spicy buffalo. They had several beers on tap. For my drink, I asked for the sweetest wine, and our server recommended the Rustic Ridge Pomegranate. It's from a nearby vineyard and was good--sweet, smooth, and easy to drink. Service: Service was friendly and attentive, and we were checked on throughout our meal. Military Discount: 10% off! Great food, good service, and a relaxed atmosphere. If we're back in the area, we would stop by again.

Very disappointing experience…read more My husband and I were asked to leave after briefly being in the restroom together -- which are non-gendered restrooms -- while he was assisting me with checking my blood sugar levels. This was a medical necessity to ensure my safety. Monitoring blood sugar is not something that can reasonably or appropriately be done out in public, and there was no private space offered or available at the bar to accommodate this medical need. Throughout the evening, I had used the same restroom multiple times with female friends without any issue. The only time staff intervened was when my husband was present specifically to help with a medical situation. We are older adults and long-standing, active members of this community. We rarely go out -- this was for a friend's birthday, something we do maybe once a year. We were with a group of friends who are also older adults, all of whom had been there for some time, simply sitting together and minding our own business, not interacting with or disturbing other patrons. Being removed in front of our friends, without any conversation, clarification, or discretion, was deeply embarrassing and upsetting. A simple, private question or a moment of understanding could have avoided this entirely. I hope management uses this as an opportunity to better train staff on handling medical situations with compassion, discretion, and consistency.

The owner came out to graciously greet myself and my Partner-in-Crime, and she showed us a brunch buffet for the ages. Marco, our server, may have been the most pleasant person I've met in a long while, and he was super attentive. Also, we came in at weird time between shifts, and they had a huge event coming up. Our food still was easy and-- most of all-- delicious! Those albondigas blew my mind. And my mind is not easily blown. Also it's like, totally family-owned, and I support the hell out of this. They are putting on their best show on thee crappiest of days to try to do so, and I just need everyone who sees this that this place is legit. MarFar's honor. And no, they didn't pay me or some stupid shit like that. They really are just that good.
