Amazing staff. I don't know what bartender is better so I come here all the time. I love these people.

person who answers their phones are rude, sarcastic, racist and very discriminatory. i spoke with two women. i dont know if theyre drunk or something but very very rude! shouted at me, cursed at me, laughed at me and then dropped the call on me. read more

I didn't feel welcomed . Couldn't tell who worked there. After standing and trying to find a place to sit . I got help eventually but it's a cash only spot. That is a bit annoying so I left. It's not pleasant to look at. read more

Great place to have a night out and enjoyva beer or two with some friends. The Bartender was pretty cool. My friend and i were helped right away. Joycee's Cocktails - Nice back porch. - Bars Near Me - Spring Valley, California

Looking for a local bar that will take you back to the old days? This is the place! The name says it all. I would never call anything a dive bar; however, it's not a dive if you can sit, drink, and enjoy! Dee was running the bar and she was fantastic. We stayed a little longer than planned because it was comfortable and alive! read more

RRRRRRREEEEEDDDDDDD!!!! She deserves a raise, and I mean that. She is a great face to the Joycee's bar. She let me take all the free shit and let me kick my husbands ass In pool at 1 am.. AND CHANGED THE MUSIC. CHANGED THE WHOLE FUCKING VIBE WHEN WE SHOWED UP. So she deserved ANY kind of tip from me.. whether it was from ME.. or from HIM.. I Had a great time and she knows who it is from. The food was great. This bar is off the chain and cannot top any other bar else. Thank RED. Thank you. JOYCEE'S!!! read more

came in for one beer, and approached by a drunk dude claiming I made him and his crew nervous for coming in and sitting too far too the left. I finished my beer and left to avoid trouble. Seemed like I wasn't welcomed there and only familiar faces can drink there. glad I save my time and the rest of my money. The barteneder was okay. read more

It's a friendly dive bar. Wanted to have a few drinks with my wife and it was a good time. The service was great and it had a good atmosphere. Full of locals , almost you stepped into the Spring Valley Cheers . I would recommend this bar for a person that isnt into a high end fancy bar. Pool tables are nice and the Jukebox has a big variety of music . read more

Very divey. Great vibe. Nice bartender. Good music. Cool people. Parking lot behind the bar. First impression: this is an easy bar to like. I'll be back. read more

Great bar! the bartenders really know how to make a stiff drink! Cheapest bar in the valley! Not your everyday typical bar but it's the kind that fits me.. love the atmosphere, definitely a bar where everyone knows your name! read more

Such a home welcoming place! Good go to place when you're bored or don't have anything to do after cutting the grass!

Classic dive bar, fairly relaxed I look completely out of place the night I went but didn't get any looks or trouble Bartender did her job well and gave solid advice about restaurants in the area. I'd return A note on parking: The only other car in the large lot (grocery store lot?) I was parked in got towed as I was walking back to my car. Joycee's seems to have their own parking, and a cool feature: cameras pointing at the lot so you can watch your ride! read more

**** AVOID AT ALL COSTS ****** This had to be one of the strangest, most nightmarish encounters I've had to date. Was passing by this place on a way to a friends house we decided to grab a drink. Bad idea, the woman who someone called "Alley" behind the bar was so completely rude I don't know how she even had the 4 customers that were in there! Her conversation was so cold & indifferent and nasty that her attitude was as if I had walked in a crapped on the bar. Truth is her disposition is what should be flushed! Not a place I would go to ever again. read more

IT'S A DIVE, IN A GOOD WAY This is a typical neighborhood bar. If you are not from the area and expect a red carpet, this place is not for you. The bartender will likely not greet you and give you a list of "specials". For those that come often, they will get the most attention. Even though it was my first time there, I know how dive bars work. I was easily able to work into the conversation and request some custom drinks. Overall it is a good time and before long I had the bartender delivering drinks to my station. Just be friendly, instead of expecting things, and you will enjoy this place. read more

A great place with friendly and cute bar tenders.

Just what a good dive bar should be small and dark with a locals vibe. The drinks are priced right. You can bring your own grub. They open early. I mean come on.... what more do you want? read more

This Dive bar is Epic. Opens early, we showed at around 9am on a Saturday, now we're in love

I was born and raised in spring valley . so ive been here once before it was a good time played some pool good price on beer . But last Saturday i had one of the worst bar experiences of my life , probably the worst. SO i had some time to kill so i decided to go here . I really had to use the bathroom so when i entered , i saw a very tall woman or trans gendered individual with dark hair and large fake you know whats. no hello or welcome greeting .so i was on my way to the bathroom , which was step number one for me at that point. i was almost to the bathroom when that "bartender" says " what are you doing?" . NOT the greeting i was looking for . I kindly told her i was goin to use the bathroom then order a drink, on my tippy toes at this point. the bartender says " what do you want to drink?' -"what do you have on special?" bartender - " idk what do you want ?" " i would like a torpedo " IPA by sierra nevada . the bartender then looks at a text message , looks back up at me "We dont have that beer you just said " me- "what beer did i say? barperson-" umm la vida loca or something " me-"im just gonna leave" I just found this person, man , woman , transgender whoever doesnt matter TO BE EXTREMELY RUDE !!!!! so i simply walked out . even the local patrons were like WTF. I find it sad that on a SAT night this bar only had 7 ppl in it . And the customer service of this individual probably has a direct reflection on the amount of business. I cant say i will NEVER go here again . But if i walk in and see that person behind the bar i'll simply walk out and go to shooters or mikes ( thats where i went after i left btw). I dont usually write reviews but when i feel im treated in an Extra-nice way or an extra-rude way. I'll write one . Justr wanted to share my experience . THank you for reading . read more

If you never been to this bar you have to stop in! The bartenders here really know how to put a smile on someone's face. Jen is a sweetheart and is really good with communicating with her customers! Whatever you need you will have! Angie knows how to take her job and have fun with it all! She's very sweet and outgoing and always checks in with her customers to make sure they are doing good. (This goes with all the bartenders). Ally you could never hate that lady! She's always laughing and smiling! This place is really like a home like place! There are a lot of regulars and the more you come the more people you get to know! We want to get to know you as well reading this! So come swing in and get a drink with us! You will love joycees. read more

Most the girls in here hook up on drinks for the price. But this girl tonight just charged me 6.50 per shot in this small "THICK" walled glass. I can pay 3.75 at the liquor store for a shot of the same drink and get way more. Make sure u Don't go on Thursday night. Wait for the Asian ,or white lady. Also the daughter of the owner (god rest her soul) hooks it up right. Usually I'm taken care of but tonight I walked in, shitty attitude, wasn't hooked up like I usually am, and then she got mad when I gave her a 3 dollar tip. Hmmm. I do customer service for a living. She needs proper training read more

This place is awesome. Where "everyone knows your name". Faith, Theresa, Angie, Jennifer and Jeanette are great drink slingers and quick with a smile and joke. Stay a while and get to know all the people who frequent the place. Don't be shy! I forgot about you Allie, my bad. read more

I started going here in feb of this year. The place has grown on me and I have met some great people. I have my favorite bartenders there but I'll let you find out for yourself. Think I'll go today for a nice cold pitcher. read more

Great place to meet locals and chat it up! Drinks are reasonable, and they have ami music!

I was a regular there for a number of years until I moved. I liked the small town, local neighborhood bar feel of the joint. A very diverse, friendly crowd of regulars and passers by. Great prices and service. No, it's not a Gas-lamp District high dollar entertainment complex, it is what it is. A great local neighborhood bar in Spring Valley to go for reasonably priced drinks and have a good time. I miss it, and wish there was a place like that near me, to stop and have a cocktail on the way home from work. read more

Gotta say, I use to be a regular. I use to go alot at one point, but eventually I got down to going about maybe once a week if even that. Got tired of the drunk bartender who always wants to be in someone's face talking shit to all kinds of people for no reason other then she's a drunk. now i just found out that one of the owners (Jeanette) decided to 86 me from the bar without any real validation expect the fact she don't like me. Are we in high school? Do i care? No!!! But i do gotta say, it truly shows lack of professional that has over taken this bar. Besides having bartenders working through their shifts drunk n coked out, you have them over pouring beyond what's normal, over serving to the point where people are drunk and start fighting and handing out free drinks like it's nothing. I should know all this because I was a regular here once. They feel they can do as they please at this bar because after all the owner is a drunk herself. A classless woman who beats on her man in front of others and has on more then one occasion started shit with people for no real reason but out of pure drunkenness. She's know to also get on top of the bar n be half naked in front of costumers. Eeww. Your not in your 20s let alone that body of yours isnt all that. Remember your 50. Have some class shit get some self respect too. Seriously, who runs a business like that? I can say I no longer recommend this place at all and Iam not the only one who has chosen to stay away either. Let alone the people I use to take over there with me too, will not be going or recommending this place either anymore. I'm sure if joycee was still around she wouldn't be happy at all with what you have done with this bar. this once chill laid back friendly bar no longer is that. read more

They helped us throw a wonderful party for our Papa Joe's 90 bday! Thanks to all the staff.

Awesome place to hang out and have inexpensive beers. There are pool tables and a good ambiance.

This bar is just a couple of blocks from me so I come down every couple of months. It's not a "dive bar" in some charming, ironic way that's so trendy right now, it's an actual dive bar. It's a little seedy, but it's great because you can come as you are. I feel super comfortable there and nobody throws shade. The bartender is great. I went there on an online date and we were both kind of nervous, tearing up our coasters and making little piles of shredded cardboard on the bar. She came over and instead of being mean about the mess we were making, she made some jokes with us, helped us break the ice, and brought extra coasters for us to tear so we wouldn't be nervous anymore. We had a really good time and we'll probably end up going there a bunch more. read more
