Office personnel are great. Installers are hit or miss. The first attempt to install a glass shower door was not good. No clean up and I'm talking about metal fragments on the bathroom floor and metal chunks in the driveway. The next person who came to fix previous mistakes was awesome. They had to come a third time and sent the first guy back. Again, no cleanup. We were worried about our dogs getting a metal shard in their foot, or a flat tire in the driveway. Recommendation: Go elsewhere if you want the job done. They don't seem to be interested in residential repairs, even with cash in hand. Justification: I dealt with Floyd's glass Co in October 2001 when a storm broke 2 windows on my residence. I asked Floyd's Glass to come out and estimate the damage and they gave me an estimate on the spot. I accepted the estimate and asked when they could come out. This week was the only answer I could get from them. Every Monday for a month I went to their office and asked when the job could be done. The same answer. Finally, I said if they could not come out by Friday, I'll have someone else do the job. I got a call on Friday saying they would be out that afternoon and they finally showed up. Second chance here. October 2022, I called them and asked for an estimate on a broken window on my door. They showed up 2 days later, and said I'd get an estimate by email. A week later, no estimate. I'm not chasing them again. With help from the internet, and $100, I fixed the door glass myself. The hard part was getting the material. read more

Plain and simple, Floyd's is the way to go for all your glass. I first saw their work on a commercial basis. They were a great sub and did great work and stood behind it. Later on I needed some glass quotes for a shower enclosure and some automotive glass. Most recently we were looking for some customer glass and mirror work. Do not bother using this company. I had scheduled Floyd's glass company to come fix a poorly installed shower enclosure, they were scheduled through my home warranty section, to arrive in the morning of 013019 they never showed. I called my warranty rep and was told Floyd's would be contacting me directly. I received a call and scheduled them for 9:00am on 020619. On the 6th I waited until 11:20, almost 2 and a half hours late, and finally called to find out why they were again a no show, the receptionist said she would have the tech contact me. At 11:40am I received a call stating the tech would be to my home within the hour, also that parts would be dropped off at my home by yet another tech. No word from anyone at the company about why the no shows and no apologies offered by anyone. This company in unreliable and does poor work. After another hour I gave up, hope I can use a different company to finally get the shower fixed, but I don't know because I have to deal with Pulte warranty, but that's a different review. read more

Over a week later, I still hadn't heard anything so I called and after being passed around from person to person, I finally got a hold of someone who said to me: "There's so much information I need to get from you that I'd rather not get involved" So at least you know before you call, they may not help you if it requires work... read more

The installation crew did not clean up after the installation. They left shavings from drilling in my shower stall, they left the paper from the glass on my cabinets, they damaged my wall, the seal gaskets were warped, the door wasn't sealed properly and they left my floor dirty! I called them back out and they still did not correct it properly. They should have taken the door back to the shop and performed the corrections properly! I paid almost $900 for this shabby work! read more

Floyd's also does residential glass. I had one window in my main living area that cracked and another that had fogged up. They came out to take measurements and then returned a few days later - at my convenience - to replace the windows. Excellent service, friendly, fairly priced. I will never use this company again! Called and left two messages to have residential windows repaired. No one called me back after 5 day wait from both people I left messages with. I called someone else that works there and ask for his help to get someone to call me back. Finally did call and set up to come measure the following day and that no one had to be there when they came. An hour later called and said they were at my house to measure and now they wanted someone there. I had to have my son leave his work (costing him money) to go home. I realized I had one more broken window and told them to order one more exact size. No he had to come back out . With no warning I get a call that he was at my house to measure again. I could not send anyone out so he measured on his own. Had to order the windows. Set up time for my husband to be there to install. They ordered the wrong window. In the front of my house they put blue tape all over the window. My home is for sale and now it has a window all taped up. My husband called Floyd Zuehlke Jr. to complain and he was like it's no big deal. They showed up again unannounced to replace the blue taped window. We were not at home, luckily my son was. They called for payment the next day and I ask if he was going to compensate for all the inconvenience and he said NO!!!!! Really pathetic business man. My contractor hired Floyd's glass to install a shower door and glass. Told an install window from 11 to 1. They show up at 2;30. Could not install it. Communication horrible. I arraigned a meeting with tile guy and Floyd's to solve an issue and get it installed after one failed attempt. Wife told Glen she took off work again to get this done. Glen left, no install done Talked to one mgr and told him our contractor was mad. I was told that particular contractor did not do much business with Floyd's anyway. Talked to a VP and he said he heard all about my problems, yet never reached out to try to solve the conflict with me. Was told they have been in business for over 60 years. If you hire these people, be warned they show up when and if they want. Should have eaten the down payment and hired another company. Maybe a company with less than 60 years in business, but someone who treats customers with some degree of respect. read more
