I can't believe how UPSET with Rennie's that I cancelled my order…read more I called first thing this morning (9:00AM) to have my mother's birthday flowers sent to her at an Assisted Living facility (which mind you is NOT far from Rennie's). After being closed for a long weekend, they had their flower delivery first thing in the morning. I was told it will be an arrangement at the florists choice since the flowers were all around. I said no problem, as long as NO CARNATIONS so roses and balloons. I asked here...when will they be sent? She said early afternoon. Well here it is 3:50pm and NO FLOWERS have arrived for my mother's birthday. The woman who answered stated they were overcome with Funeral Arrangements, that the order will be delivered before 5:00PM. Ummm, hello...NOT MY PROBLEM. Customer Service failed completely! Wondering if I should pick it up myself, I called back and asked and she said it was up to me, but the arrangement wasn't done and won't be going out until 5pm since the delivery person was already out doing other deliveries. So, I cancel the order! And the best....NO ONE can credit my credit card until tomorrow. I am very disturbed that the owner wasn't around and the two individuals working had not idea how to credit an account, as well as lacked customer service. I am sure they are a wonderful florist, but just not for me or my Mother's Birthday. My mom lives near the town center, and I'm sure that helped with how fast they got there, but less than an hour is very impressive! I ordered a contemporary rectangular planter with 5 different multicolored plants and they provided a tacky white basked with 3 cheap plants in a single color palette with a plastic stick that it's hard to read "Happy Mothers Day". Called to express my disappointment and the owner claims she did what she could with $65 and that she made the arrangement as close as possible to the original. This is a total lie because if you look at the pictures she clearly decided to make a quick buck by accepting to fulfill an order using drastically subpar materials and a left over Easter basket. She sat with us for a good two hours to get a feel for us as people, go over the color scheme for the wedding, and get a general idea of what we wanted. Her warehouse was gorgeous, and she had two sweet rescued animals wandering around which just captured my heart. She is also very active in local charities, which for me is a big plus for me as I'm a bleedy heart liberal. Come the day of the wedding and our flower arrangements looked great, all fresh and vibrant. She incorporated non traditional items like rosemary, onchidium orchids, and fiddlehead ferns into our arrangements and my bouquet, which was beyond rad. She also made a point of using more intricately designed living plants than cut flowers, which was great both because it cost less -and- gave our guests something to take home that wouldn't die in a few days. She also decorated our cake with fresh flowers and it looked fantastic. I was also very impressed with the price, especially considering she has a few books published on floral design. If i were to ever host a big formal event, or get married again (both kinda unlikely) I would totally go back to her...I found her level of professionalism and talent to be remarkable, and I really liked her as a person too.
