Come here for one-of-a-kind things. Think massive plants and handcrafted pots. I wind up here about once a year, for pots, plants, accessories. Since my parents had their wedding arrangement done by Leonard's decades ago, we've been coming back. In August I went with my family, we showed up and meandered around, found a few planters and a branch of a plant lying on the ground. About an 1/2 foot-sized piece of a massive massive jade plant had broken off, and dried. It was clear it had happened a while ago. I asked if it was for sale, and the woman simply let me have it! By this point it was uncertain if it would live. I planted it, and it is by far my happiest and healthiest plant. I wonder if their giant big jades are for sale... will be back to check them out soon. read more

I used Leonhards flowers for my wedding and it was an incredible experience. The customer service, the selection, and the overall value was incredible. I'm so grateful for the thoughtful attention to detail that went into everything from our table arrangements to my bridal bouquet. I came in today with my two young children to get a Mother's Day gift for my mom, and I was barely out of the car before a lovely woman asked if I needed any assistance. I am 36 weeks pregnant and clearly had my hands full, so I truly appreciated the extra help. She helped me find the plant I was looking for, offered to have it gift wrapped, and was so sweet and patient with my boys. My husband proposed with roses from Leonhard's ten years ago, and we have been loyal customers ever since. Their outstanding customer service is why we keep coming back. This nursery is owned and managed by the nicest people! Why would we shop anywhere else? read more

I love sending flowers from The Leonhards'! I can always trust that quality product will be used and the arrangement will be special. My mom loves gardening and really knows flowers so the fact that the designers take pride in using quality material makes me return year after year for my mom's birthday! read more

It's a shame that terrible customer service will ruin your business. We were having a Celebration of Life for my mother and people were asking where to have flower arrangements sent from. Living out of town, I had heard about beautiful arrangements Leonhard's had done for some others, although they said they are kind of snotty. I thought ehh, could have been subjective? I was contacted by 2 people that called Leonhard's to order, and said the lady taking the order was very nasty, curt and not helpful. One said she hung up on her and the other said she wished she did! How terrible, I was embarrassed I gave this business name out. I had the one that ordered a very large arrangement call them back and cancel, she said the lady was cheerier taking the canceled order than she was when she originally ordered! We will take our business elsewhere and will definitely not recommend Leonhard's to anyone. Hopefully the business will recognize front-line employees and your customer service is what will make you stay in business. read more

I wanted to have flowers delivered to a friends daughter the same day. I called 3 local florists- 1 answered and said she was closed, the 2nd said she couldn't do it for the price i wanted to pay. The 3rd was Leonards. I spoke to Peter who was more than helpful. He made a flower suggestion and said of course he would be happy to deliver them today. My friends daughter just called me and said how beautiful the Tulips are and that they brought a smile to her face! As I am not from Massachuttes I always wonder if the flowers I order from afar are nice. Well, Peter delivered. Great service and people. I highly recommend read more

We recently celebrated our daughter's wedding in our backyard, and Leonhard's provided the bridal flowers and many gorgeous mums for decorating the yard. The bridal arrangements were absolutely beautiful, very fresh and vibrant, exactly what we were looking for in arrangement and color. We worked with Leslie for the flowers, and she was extremely knowledgeable, made terrific suggestions, and was great to work with. We also got excellent advice from Jim on how to decorate the yard using the mums and adding a rustic style. They have a beautiful garden shop, and all the plants and flowers were very well maintained. Highly recommended! read more

This place is like heaven to me. You can walk through the green houses or the gift shop and everything is appealing. I went for Mother's Day and was very happy with the service I received, as well as the gifts I was able to purchase. I love this place and will go back again and again read more

Their greenhouse and flowers are GORGEOUS!! However the staff is so rude. I went back 2 days in a row, spent a lot of $$ both days, and was still treated like an annoying intrusion in the shop. read more

Not as good as years ago and VERY expensive Everything looked a bit old and dated. I could not believe how expensive they have gotten. It used to be so much fun to go there read more

Leonhard's consistently does the best floral arranging work of any place I've been to anywhere. Doris has a brilliant eye, classy but expressive taste, and an insatiably high standard. I would refer her or her team to anyone. Thanks, Leonhard's, for always coming through! read more

I've been going to Leonhard's for garden plants since moving to Beverly six years ago. There's no doubting their plants are beautiful but on a recent visit I was turned off by the customer service and a questionable business practice. There was no price list outside so I went in and the woman told me flats of annuals were $5.98. I also took a picture of the price list to have for reference. When I went to pay a man who appeared to be an owner helped me. He rang the flats up as $6.98 and when I questioned him he said the price just went up. After pointing out that the posted price was 5.98 he eventually charged me the lower price but told another man to have Peggy change the price cause he was "tired of arguing with customers." Now why say that in front of a customer? Very rude. Also, why are you raising prices at the end of June when you need to get rid of plants? Every year after the 4th they start discounting the annuals. It's a pretty sure bet that they're raising the price by the $1 to help offset the upcoming discount, especially since that was the only price that went up. I'm sorry but that's dishonest. I normally go there a couple times during the spring/summer season but after seeing that I don't think I'll be back. read more

WOW! My family received the most amazing, elegant sympathy floral arrangement from Leonard's. It had the detail of the most expensive centerpiece: elegant, fragrant and so warm and personal. Nothing was held back when it came to presentation. The most unique white floral arrangement we have ever seen, with small details and accents that made the whole experience so special. Magnificent! I can only imagine the beauty they would create for holidays! read more

cute little flower & plant shop. the amount of variation in selection is not super huge. great vibes overall.

We ordered flowers for a good friend of my wife for their birthday and they have gotten lazy. The arrangements are boring in comparison to what they have gotten a few years ago. I'm not too fond of the customer service. We sometimes end up on hold for a good 5 minutes on the phone and at the store. They tend get grumpy and moody (really weird for working in such a cheerful store). I dunno about you, but i would like to be greeted with a friendly hello instead of a scowl over the phone. Overall, I would say that since I come here for the flowers and not the people, they do a pretty good job. but if you take customer service into account, the experience can sometimes be less than stellar. read more

First time here today and was very impressed! The hanging baskets are the best I have found on the north shore. They are huge and beautiful! Check out my pics. Since it is later in the season they were also half price. The woman who helped us today was lovely, I really enjoyed talking with her. We were so happy to find them open on Sundays. This will be our new go to spot for flowers. read more

One of my favorite things to do is to treat my loved ones. Presents are easy, when you pay attention to what that person likes. Same with flowers. One of the best parts of the experience of giving those (for me) is making a selection, discussing the flowers with the shop, describing my vision, and getting professional advise on the best way to bring it to life. Unfortunately, that was a far cry from Leonard's. Ordered from the in early September. The lady, who answered the phone (not going to blast her name, but it begins with P.) unfortunately, sounded rather annoyed to even have to answer my questions, let alone make creative suggestions. Mind you, it was not like I was inquiring about some rare exotic choices, that couldn't possibly be in stock. Those were simple questions about lilies and roses, available colors, and pricing for various amounts/delivery arrangements. Considering the less than pleasant banter, there is no way I would carry on with this order under normal circumstances. Unfortunately, the local Gloucester shop I wanted to use was closed for Covid. I was under the gun time wise, and since Leonards was suggested by an amazing florist I trust, I went with it. To be fair, the bouquet turned out fine. The delivery was as promised and on time. That said, I mean, how can one screw up a handful of one color roses... I kept the order as simple as possible, to make sure it was executed the way I wanted. Not at all what I originally had in mind, but after the customer service I received, I had little faith, that I would get what I want if I tried to get fancy. Like I said, the delivery was on point, and white roses pulled together in a bunch served their purpose. But unfortunately, I will not be reaching-out to Leonard's again. I don't want one of my favorite giving experiences to be tainted by the cloudy attitude. read more

Amazing customer service! They replaced a floral arrangement that was dying with no questions asked. They even were so kind to give me a plant for free. I highly recommend The Leonard's Flower Shop. They do outstanding work! read more

Leonhards Flower Shop - Florists Near Me - Beverly, Massachusetts

I walked in here to have an arrangement sent to a friend. The place was filled with a beautiful aroma of flowers. As a florist should be. After a minute or so I was greeted by a wonderful charming sales associate. She asked the usual sorts of questions, May I help you? Do you want to have this delivered or carry out? How much do you want to spend? Then I started to say I wanted a custom arrangement with a different vase. Something other than the typical glass tube. She directed me to four locations in the store for me to make a selection. She said we would work on the flower selection from the choice of container. I walked back ten minutes later with a vase in hand with a look on my face it seems. She asked if I was certain about the vase. I said this was the one I liked but was concerned about it holding water for a cut arrangement. She assured me she had a solution. She then looked me over once again and said while looking me straight in the eyes with a very direct declaration that I should let trust her to select the flowers. That it would be perfect. Well, how could I say no to this energetic sparkling woman, whom happened to be the owner. I wrote the note on the card. Handed over the credit card and walked away feeling like it was all under control. Then I got a call from the receiver of the arrangement. They were amazed by the beauty and the selection. Kept mumbling "They are beautiful, They are just beautiful." so for those of you on the North Shore looking for a great local place to have flowers for the garden, lawn or the living room. Shop here. Trust in their skills to please. I did. read more

Very disappointed with a recent experience here. Over priced with poor customer service. I called to order a $55 winter floral bouquet to be sent to my mother. The man on the phone when I ordered was rude and abrupt with me. When it was delivered, it had not one, but TWO price tags in the arrangement (one $45 and one $55) and was clearly just pulled from the shelf and not what I ordered. There were NO flowers but just greens and it was literally the size of my palm. It was tiny and $55! I called to complain that it was not what I ordered and they said they'd deliver another arrangement with flowers. Come to find out, they call my mom to schedule a time to pick up the first arrangement and replace it with a new one. How cheap, insulting and embarrassing. I have known Leonhards to have beautiful pieces but it's way over priced and the service is moody, grumpy and not customer centric. I will be bringing my business elsewhere. You can get so much more for your money elsewhere - both quality and service. read more

My 5 year old perfectly summed up Leonhard's, " this looks like where Christmas comes from." Everything that leaves their doors is pure elegance & flawless. Hands down one of the best places on the north shore to give & get flowers from. read more

This place is gorgeous. A little pricey but you dont have to buy anything - but you will want to! Just go walk around!

The artistry in the flower arrangements from Leonards is a cut above all other shops!

Only my second visit, but after my first visit, I couldn't not go back. These people are so kind, and so talented. They will accommodate your needs. And the place itself is super fun to explore. But I REALLY enjoyed talking with the two women about pretty much nothing and everything. I like when that can happen, and it's cool, not uncomfortable. I like chatting folks up, so anyone receptive to that is ok in my book! read more

We ordered flowers for an anniversary party and they came out awful and WAY over priced! They picked up the flowers from my house to re do them and all they did was take out some flowers (still not what we had asked for!!) and they still charged us the same price. I would not recommend this flower shop! read more

they make exquisite arrangements, the highest quality. The flowers alone get 5 stars. Overall they are downgraded because they are expensive and the owner is not friendly or welcoming. I bought flowers from here despite her personality, not because of it. And the flowers drew high praise from everyone. read more

Doris Leonhard is a floral superstar. In the search for the most beautiful wedding bouquet that I could find, I stumbled upon Leonhard's website and knew that I had struck gold. Over the course of a few months, I brought in handfuls of photo references to Doris' shop and she constantly reassured me that she knew exactly what I wanted. I was nervous up until my wedding day, when Doris hand-delivered my bouquets and flower crown to the house that I was staying at. Her arrangements brought everyone to tears. They were perfect- fresh, massive, and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Leonhards for making my big day extra beautiful! read more

I saw a cement Buddha statue there. I thought it was nice so asked "How much?" I was told $599.00. I found the same statue on Route 1 in Danvers for under $300.00. I'm not saying Leonhards doesn't have some nice stuff, I'm saying shop around. Your wallet will thank you. read more

We have used Leonards for over two years now and just keep getting amazed with the quality of the arrangements and how incredibly nice the staff is to deal with. We had an arragement made for Christmas and got the most spectacular 5-piece setting. It rivaled anything from Winton's in Boston for a 1/3 of the price. We love using them for our friends and ourselves. Never will you be disappointed. read more

AMAZING! I went into Leonhard's on a recommendation from a friend and I was not disappointed. I was greeted immediately by a friendly woman who asked if I needed assistance. I told her I wasn't sure what I needed, a floral arrangement or plant for a friend who was celebrating her cancer free anniversary. She asked what price range I was looking to spend and from there she suggested a couple different options. I went with a basket floral/plant arrangement. It was absolutely gorgeous and exceeded any expectation that I had. My friend was so touched by the gesture and overwhelmed at how gorgeous the arrangement was. Helpful, considerate, outstanding customer service and elegant come to mind in describing Leonhards. I will definitely be using them again for any future purchases. THANK YOU!! read more

I have been a customer for 27 years and Doris creates award winning flower arrangements. My window boxes are the talk of the town! The funeral arrangements are the best in the business. I highly recommend Leonhards! There aren't enough stars to rate this flower shop, read more

I have purchased many arrangements at Leonard's in my life and have always been more than amazed at the talent they have. The reason I only give it 3 stars is because of the owner who needs to try to be a little more customer friendly. So 5 stars for arrangements and 3 for owner. I'm sure if she sees this she might improve her customer relations! read more

So sad! Not what they used to be. My last few arrangements have not lasted more than 4-5 days. Mother's Day was no different. Threw out on the 5th day. Years past, the flowers were so fresh they would last well over a week +. Prices are now too high for the poor quality. read more

I went here for a consultation appointment for the flowers for my upcoming wedding. There seemed to be some pretty flowers for sale in the shop, but otherwise my experience was poor. The woman who I met with, the owner, was very unprofessional and disorganized, and the only examples of wedding florals she could show me were small 5x7 photos of weddings from the '80s and '90s. I was very disappointed to see that there were no contemporary examples from the past 15 years. She unfortunately seemed unable to work with her customers to produce the outcome that they wanted; every bouquet photo I saw had the same exact green and white arrangement, which was also the same arrangement she put together for me. I stated that I was looking for brighter color and texture, but she refused to show me anything other than the flowers she had already picked out, and went so far as to tell me that I should trust her to just decide what would look best. For the price of the flowers here and the amount of other businesses in the wedding industry, the customer service should be impeccable. I would not recommend going here if you need anything other than flowers for your garden. read more
