We have a family member at Beverly Hospital and wanted to send flowers. As we live in DC, we let Yelp guide the way in finding the perfect florist who could deliver a beautiful arrangement in a timely way. My husband made the call to arrange things - gave a few requests for types of flowers, gave our price range, and instructions on where in the hospital they should be delivered. The bouquet arrived quickly afterwards and the entire experience was well worth the $100 charge. The bouquet (see image) was full, including bright blossoms guaranteed to put a smile on anyone's face! The recipient was extremely pleased with them as well. As an extra note to why Carroll's Florist deserves 5 stars - we placed this order yesterday, at the height of Covid19 lockdown announcements. I received a call from the owner detailing her attempt to get the flowers into the hospital - she even wore gloves and a mask. But following all precautions, the hospital wouldn't let her in but instead had her coordinate delivery via a security agent. It all seemed a little complicated (but very understandable and necessary!) and I was so, so grateful for the extra care Carroll's put into getting the flowers delivered in such a sensitive point in time - and the fact that she took the time to relay all the details to me. I live out of state and needed a reliable florist to deliver flowers. I loved the selection of flowers they had in their arrangements. I received a call the next morning, they were simply calling to tell me they had delivered the arrangement early because of the Holiday. I was grateful for their call in notifying me about the change (I received an email as well). But on the call, they took the time to explain the reasoning behind the change, and let me know that someone did accept the flowers despite the earlier drop off. I ordered a Mother's Day arrangement for my mom from Carroll's (ordered 5 days in advance). It was a beautiful arrangement, but it is NOT what expected for an upgrade to premium. Very unhappy customer. Not happy with the money I spent for this arrangement $100+ for the premium and it looks very basic. Also, I was not aware this was a 3-sided arrangement. Once again VERY UNHAPPY. This was not worth the money, steer clear of upgrading from Carroll's !! I am very disappointed with this arrangement for my mom. My folks and I ordered some funeral arrangements for my grandmother. We wound up at Carroll's Florist in Beverly. The owner was rude and haughty for starters. We ordered two arrangements totally nearly 500.00. At the service, we were appalled at the appearance of the arrangements. One had roses in which were far past their prime, wilted and blown over. The greens were brown on the tips. Many of the flowers did not appear fresh. A few close family members commented on how sickly the arrangements looked. An attempt was made to notify Carroll's florist, but the owner was rude, and denied that the arrangements were anything but wonderful. Which they weren't. ,. Poor service, poor quality workmanship. I called Carroll's Florist in Beverly, MA to put in a sympathy bouquet order for a co-worker and I was appalled at how rude the person I spoke with was. At first she told me to hold on because she was driving and seemed annoyed that I called her at an inconvenient time (9:45AM on a Monday). Then when I told her I needed a sympathy bouquet within a certain price range she repeatedly told me how low the price-range (around $40) was and that I was going to be getting an extremely small bouquet. I understood this, yet she continued to stress how small the bouquet would be and made me feel as though I was being cheap. Then she rudely asked what I wanted the card to say, and I told her "Our deepest sympathy for your loss" and she very rudely said "HOLD ON! I HAVE TO WRITE THIS DOWN YOU KNOW" at this point I was so shocked that I was speaking to someone in the service business and who would treat her customers this way, I interrupted and said that I did not want to continue with the order and I no longer needed her TERRIBLE services. She laughed and hung the phone up. -- Little does she know that my request was coming from a large and well known business on the north shore and we would have continued to use her services had it been a good experience. I wonder if she would laugh about that.... I called Gordon Florist in Ipswich, MA and dealt with a very pleasant person who took my order with ease and assured me that it was all taken care of. Received flowers for Valentine's Day. Less than pleased. The woman that dropped them off was rude, the hydrangea that was in the arrangement was completely wilted. Two days later the whole arrangement was dead. When someone spends over $100 on an arrangement it shouldn't be filled with carnations and the flowers shouldn't be dead within two days. Was very disappointed in the funeral spray ordered. Looked wilted the day of delivery for the wake and the next day for the funeral some were dead and hanging. Will never order from this florist again not only because of poor quality of product, but the in person customer service was rude. On the occasion of the snow blizzard on Ground Hog's day, Carroll's Florist went above and beyond to deliver a gorgeous and graceful bouquet of fresh flowers. In fact, the lovely and cheerful woman had to literally climb over three feet of mounting snow to slog through the enormous drifts gathering in front of my door. Frankly, I was in disbelief that the florist had taken the request for flowers to be delivered to me, on my birthday, so so seriously. The owner insisted the flowers be delivered, and in spite of the terrible road and whiteout conditions that day, the woman handed me the exquisite flowers with a big smile and warm wishes of joy from the sender. With all of my family out of town, the flowers and the connection to Carroll's Florist made my day. A week and a half later with fresh water and care, most of the flowers are still beautiful, now separated into several vases in different rooms.
