A great mix of local products and specialty products that are hard to find. The deck on the back also had an amazing view of the harbor.

Rude employees!! I made a purchase and the 2 employees continued their conversation, never acknowledged me or said a word. No greeting, no thank you, nothing. Really regret buying anything there. Won't make that mistake again. read more

I used to shop here all the time for the amazing selection of goods. I'd buy all my wedding gifts here and so many hostess gifts every summer- but I finally stopped shopping here when the owner seemed to not want our business. I can't say I've encountered that anywhere else but we just finally decided to shop elsewhere! read more

I love this kitchen goods store. It's jam packed with gems. They have an awesome selection of gourmet pantry items, serveware, cookware, cookbooks, candy, puzzles, napkins, wine openers, multiple sizes of whisks, placemats--even lighting! And they have a range of prices. It's great for host gifts, stocking stuffers, and just making your kitchen, food, and table unique and your own. The owner is lovely and the shops back deck looks out directly on the Motif. read more

The products are pricey, I was going to pick up some things for a splurge, but I simply could not get over the snotty attitude of the people who were working there. Seriously, if I wanted the Hampton-'tude, I would be there. Rockport deserves better because it IS better. A new Market Basket is located on Rt. 127, less than 10 minutes from town and it is quite well-stocked. A locally-owned IGA is on Railroad Street and is small and expensive, but I pop in occasionally just to pick up a few items and support the local indies. read more

I feel like a terrible local, only now discovering this one. But then again, the locals hardly consider me, a Metro West girl who's only been here for a few years, a local. Maybe my grandkids will count as such. And besides, those damn townies don't know about this place because they all drive to Danvers to shop at Market Basket, anyhow. So, I work on Bearskin Neck and have walked by this shop for the better part of two years. I figured, it being on Main Street, it wasn't exactly the place to pick things up if you were not a tourist. On xmas eve we went in to find a last-minute gift for my brother... Geez, I've been missing out all this time. Fab little epicurean/gift shop offering an impressive selection of really nice housewares (my little brother recently bought a condo, and is just learning to cook. What geek would not appreciate split leather potholders?). They also carry provisions such as sauces and dips, teas and preserves, honeys, pastas, spices... It's a great little gem and I'm happy I finally found it, despite it taking two years for me to do so. The service is incredibly helpful and friendly as well, so besides finding awesome accoutrement to dinner, you're happy to financially support these folks. Also? Ten-minute-walk from my house. Awesome. :D read more

Lula's Pantry - the front of the store - Specialty Food Near Me - Rockport, Massachusetts

A very nice kitchen shop that any foodie would be proud to be found in. A lovely assortment of those hard to find items and new things to keep you stimulated. Pricey. Yes, but just get a small gift or treat for your home. I did. read more

This place is like an upscale New England version of Williams-Sonoma. Such unique gourmet finds and nautical themed decor - I probably did three laps of the shop not wanting to miss out on anything. We just had burgers with the bacon jam we picked up from this shop - amazing. Honestly one of the best things I have ever had. http://www.skilletstreetfood.com/shop.php A great spot for to pick up a gift. read more

Lula's Pantry - a shelf full of dishes and utensils - Specialty Food Near Me - Rockport, Massachusetts

Amazing selection of cool Home goods and cooking gear, cookbooks and pantry type food with killer views of the harbor. I even got a free candy with purchase when i came back to get my cookbook. Nice instant karma! read more

Loved this store! We brought home two beautiful serving bowls and a container with foxes on it, for our utensils, in our new kitchen in CA!! Lovely lady who served us and held our stuff while we enjoyed the rest of our walk around Rockport! read more

Would have been happy to give Lula's Pantry 4-5 stars thanks to its eclectic and charming wares and excellent merchandising, but for the epically snotty manager who was more interested in gossiping with his friends then he was in making sales. I had seen an item in the window and was interested in purchasing it. When I approached the manager at the counter he looked right at me, looked away, and kept chatting with his friends. When it was clear that I wasn't going away, he abruptly stopped talking and very impatiently and rudely asked if he could help me. I asked him about the item in question and he responded, in his best condescending and dismissive tone, that it wasn't for sale and then turned back to his conversation. Not one to be deterred by blatant obnoxious behavior, I asked him if he was sure--because I had a matching one that I had purchased at Lula's a few months earlier, and wanted another one to bookend a door way. Even then, after I made it clear that I was a return customer, he impatiently told me that it was broken and not in sellable condition. Didn't ask me if I might be interested in something similar, didn't warm up even a bit, and gave me every indication in his body language and tone that I was bothering him immensely and would I please just go away. Well, he gets his wish. I won't be going back. Clearly he doesn't need my business! read more

Too bad the sales staff working at Lula's are so obnoxious and full of bad attitude. My boyfriend and I were interested in purchasing upscale serving platters for our catering business. When we inquired about an item we were interested in, the precious, middle aged, male clerk assured us that the platters were extremely expensive and looked down his nose at us. We just stood there flabbergasted!! Never shop here unless you want to deal with poor customer service and as it turns out overpriced European kitchen gear. FYI ownership -we went here on 7/19/2014 @ 5:45pm. read more

Such a great little shop! I love kitchen stores and this one hit the mark for me. If you like kitchen things and unique food items, this is a great place! The owner was very helpful. read more

Love the store - so many great items! The girl at the check out was nice but the person who seemed to be her manager was not great. He didn't acknowledge me and my friend when we walked in and was rude to the girl at the check out when she was having an issue. Retail is a hard job and I get being so overworked that you don't want to deal with annoying customers but he didn't want to deal with any customers annoying or nice. read more

Lula's Pantry is a real find among the many fudge and t-shirt shops in the downtown of Rockport. An interesting place for serious cooks, and the buyer or owner there has a real eye for great housewares. Wonderful cookbooks, refined scented candles, crockery, soaps, linens and a fantastic line of salted chocolate called Salt & Ayre! I had to be dragged out of there, and I will be back. read more

Second time I have been here I agree the place has great stuff but the staff is rude and throws "attitude" I actually walked out of there today. The manger was talking to people and not paying attention and the cashier was out right rude. read more

Being a great lover of food (though by no means a gourmet) I like to treat myself sometimes. When I do, I go to Lula's pantry. It's the only place in Rockport and Gloucester that sells gnocchi (believe me, I've looked). Lulu's is pretty pricey and is definitely aimed at tourists. But I think the prices are pretty fair for what they sell. It's an interesting store because it's the only real luxury store in Rockport as most locals are not especially affluent. But it's got some great stuff like loose teas and lovely bowls and cutlery. Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for something nice and love to cook. read more

Fine epicurian delicacies with smart items for the home. Worth a visit for the nicely designed interior and viewing porch in rear of the store. More friendliness from the shopkeepers would go a long way. read more

This is a great shop...definately stop in...a great selection of kitchen and home goods.

Lovely items. Excellent CS. I forgot my CC there, and they mailed it back to me! Thank you!

A fabulous store and super service as well. This shop has quite a variety of top-of -the-line cooking equipment that is more than acceptable to a French cook like me - If possible, I would happily purchase everything on offer. It's a great place to locate that hard -to -find gift for weddings, birthdays and holidays. The selection of teas, cookies, crackers and other lovely food is amazing for such a small store. I'm a local and do know there are other locals as addicted as I am and we do direct tourists to check out the store. It's been in town for several years and has gained an excellent reputation. Highly recommended ! read more

While visiting from out of town one snowy weekend a friend and I happened upon this shop. A great selection of bar accessories, including unusual mixers that I purchased for my husband; beautiful linens; wonderful selection of Phaidon food books; lots of beautiful gift items for the home. The owner, Brett (?) was fun and engaging. He gave us a recommendation for a great restaurant (Short and Main) that we would never have found on our own. A couple weeks later I called to ask if he could send a gift to the friend who I visited the store with - all handled in a friendly and efficient manner. Definitely on my "best of" list. read more

What a great little kitchen and specialty grocery store! Great cookbook, cutting board, and linen selection. I could spend hours in here. Super nice folks working there. Extra bonus: a deck out the back on the harbor!! read more

Due to a manufacturer's defect, I recently returned a wooden bowl (used only twice) to the store 8 months after I purchased it. The owner was extremely apolegetic for my time and trouble and gave me a brand new bowl in its place. Great store and great customer service! read more

I love this place! I've been shopping here for wonderful and creative gifts for yrs and have never been disappointed. The owner (Brett) is so knowledgable about all the different high end foods and products and always helps put together really creative gift baskets. I can call the store and request a basket to be put together and shipped and everyone that receives a gift basket always raves. read more

It is as good as it gets. I've spent a lot of time in Rockport over the years and remember when Lula's was at the other end of town. I shop there--and yeah, it's a little pricey, but very unique--each visit. Love the glassware and the pottery and the dish towels and the salts and teas and mustards and the view. Did I forget the mention the view? First-rate. read more
