Wonderful customer service! Went above and beyond to take care of our delivery on Mother's Day - ON Mother's Day, meaning delivering on Sunday. Mom didn't answer the door but once we talked they re-delivered amidst a very busy Mother's Day delivery schedule. It is so nice when you find a business that prioritizes customer service, and does it with a smile. Thank you Flower City! Oh, and the arrangement was beautiful and our mom loved it. read more

If I could give 100 stars I would! I absolutely loved the florals and service I received from Flower City & Events. I ordered all flowers for my wedding here. From my sweetheart table, to my bouquet, my wedding cake garden, centerpieces, church decor, bridesmaid corsages, groomsmen boutonnières. She understood my vision and made it happen! Sara and her team did a wonderful job and for a great price! She personally delivered my bouquet on my wedding day and I absolutely loved it! She also delivered to the church and wedding reception. The communication was great, it felt like Sara was family! She genuinely enjoys what she does and loves to see the customer happy. They treat every event important and it made me feel really special. Everyone at my wedding was amazed by all the flowers! My mother in law loved the cake garden so much and ordered one for a baby shower as well! I recommend you check out flower city for your next floral arrangement, party, bouquet etc. She does it all and is the best! 10/10 Recommend! Forever grateful for Sara and her team! read more

I was relieved to find a florist able to deliver the day before Mothers day. Confidant about the online reviews. Pleased they delivered on time. However, I am highly dissatisfied at the type of bouquet $70.00 (plus tax, deliver AND TIP) total of $113.00 bought from this florist. Since I am out of state I didn't have much to go by in deciding the best place to order from so I just went with Flower City. I order flowers quite a bit in the Los Angeles/Orange County market and there is a premium you pay since most things are expensive. I completely expected that it wasn't going to be their very best and perhaps my order would look for like a $50 bouquet but this was more like the $18 set you pick up at your local grocer thrown in a vase! Displeased!! No wonder why executing this order delivery was a breeze for this establishment- not much effort and options. Now I feel so bad I am looking for another place to deliver whatbi feelings a bouquet any Morher deserves on Morhers Day. No worse feeling as if you were totally ripped off! 5 Roses, 1 carnation a bit of greenery and fillers?? Flower City, I feel like you would know better how to deliver for your customer. Especially on such an occasion. I hope we can make it right for my Mom who is miles away! read more

I called in looking for same-day dozen plus roses delivered to my sister, and Sarah was incredibly personable, gracious, and efficient in making my first Premium order with FC a breeze. The roses were gorgeously arranged and not all in full bloom - which is ideal so they last, and are a sight to behold. Thanks Sarah, I love them and will absolutely be back x read more

honestly just trust Manny, he's incredible. I emailed him a picture of my bridal shower invitations, told him a few things I had hoped to have incorporated in the arrangements and I can't believe how well he did. Not only were the flowers absolutely beautiful, but he worked with my schedule and everything worked so seamlessly. I ordered 2 large arrangements, and 6 small arrangements, all of them lasted over a week. He made them all look very fancy and extravagant for such a decent price. I'll never use another florist!!! read more

Flower City - Such pretty flowers I picked up ! Wonderful customer service at flower city! - Florists Near Me - Houston, Texas

DO NOT get flowers from Flower City. My husband sent me flowers on Saturday. Monday morning my flowers were dead. This is the second time that this has happened. When my husband called the flower shop to discuss why the flowers died two days after I received them... he was given the run around. The gentleman on the phone ask did we change the water? Were the flowers and air-conditioned? When he was questioned about how fresh the flowers were he claimed that they received and the day before I received my flowers. All of the roses were in full bloom when they were delivered. DO NOT buy flowers from Flower City unless you want old flowers read more

I called this place last minute for an arrangement for a girlfriend having a rough time. I was asking them if they could deliver the next day. They said we will be closed tomorrow for Memorial Day holiday but can we deliver the arrangement tonight? Even better! I didn't get to see the flowers sent but I was told they were gorgeous. The woman I spoke with was very sweet and understanding. Good job guys! I will definitely use you all in the future!! read more

We needed a casket spray for my brother in law who passed away very unexpected. I had looked around online and discovered that these can be quite expensive. Chose here as I've always wanted to stop in and see what flower city had to offer. The lady who helped us when we went into the shop was very sweet and kind. We explained our situation and told her what my sister would like to have for her husbands casket spray, and also discussed what we could afford to pay. The florist agreed to work within our budget, using our choice of flowers and even waived the delivery fee (as funeral home was quite close by). It was delivered on time, and what arrived was more than we expected. We were very pleased with the size of the spray as we expected it to perhaps be smaller than most but it was full and wonderful, and stuffed with roses and lilies. Beautiful premium grade flowers, good quality and very fresh. The spray was truly beautiful and a fitting final tribute to her husband and my friend. I would most certainly use this florist again. read more

I needed a last minute flower arrangement for my grandmother's 80th birthday and this shop popped up in my search. I'm also in graduate school so I'm on a student budget but wanted to get something very special. Through the awesome people at Flower City, I found a gorgeous arrangement that worked with my budget. Take a look at their website and see the variety of beautiful arrangements they have for every occasion. The customer service is excellent, the owner and staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you get what you need. I'm so happy I could surprise my grandmother with a beautiful bouquet of bright yellow and pink flowers. The fact this is a family run business is another bonus. I would definitely order from them again! Thank you so much Flower City!!! read more

Hands down for the best florist in town! Super duper friendly staff! They will help you to meet your needs!

I received flowers from this shop for Mother's Day and whoever delivered them left them in the hot sun. By the time I got home several of the flowers were wilted. I called the store and was told the manager would call me back. I did not receive a call back so I went to HEB to buy flowers to replace the wilted ones, I know I should have told my son but I didn't want him to think I didn't appreciate his thoughtfulness. read more

I found this florist based on yelp reviews. I went in with a clear idea of what I wanted - cost, size, picture, request for no filler, etc. It was important to me that the arrangement be high quality flowers and really fresh. They asked questions and were super accommodating. I didn't see the arrangement bc it was delivered, but the recipient said it was one of the nicest arrangements she'd ever seen. Will definitely use flower city again. read more

I received flowers from flower city two days ago & nothing was as expected! The picture of the flower arrangement online was nothing like the one I received! My boyfriend & I called back that same day & no one picked up. The next business day we spoke to the manager & she offered to take off $10 which was barely enough to cover the delivery price! We suggested to get the exact flower arrangement we order online otherwise we didn't want the one that was delivered. She said they couldn't make it, so to bring back the flowers for a full refund. I walk in the flower shop & they know exactly why I was there, & said the refund would be return back to the card it was purchased. I highly recommend going to another flower shop for any flower arrangement delivery... To top it all off it was delivered at a wrong time & the note inside was written in incorrect grammar! Very disappointing! read more

I ordered this same bouquet on one of the big flower delivery sites and it was about 75% more expensive. Flower City has great prices and delivered the gift about 3 hours after I ordered it. Good prices, fresh flowers, and quick delivery. What else is there that makes a great florist? read more

We ordered a large wreath for display and someone from Flower City called to ensure we meant to leave the card blank and then also called to ensure we were ok with them substituting one of the flowers. Ordered a dozen white roses delivered to my partner's office. He told me that that everyone in his office wouldn't stop talking about how gorgeous these flowers were. Coworkers told him that they've never seen more beautiful white roses before. Easy online ordering and I didn't have to even pay a delivery fee. Flowers were delivered on Friday, but by Monday they're described as "gloomy", otherwise this would be a five star rating. read more

We ordered the $80 European Terrace arrangement as a special gift for my Mom's birthday. We chose this arrangement based on the online photo, which featured beautiful mauve roses and blue hydrangea. Unfortunately, the floral arrangement that was delivered did not match the photo. There were no hydrangea, and the roses were not at all fresh. When we emailed Flower City with our complaints, they did not respond. Don't waste your good money on this florist. Their flowers and their customer service are sub par. read more

1. they delivered the flowers to a WRONG address!!! (i placed an order two weeks in advance, and since i wasn't sure where the birthday guy is going to be, i provided two addresses and said that im gonna call them back and clarify which address i want it to be delivered to. and they got it wrong! or was it so hard to pick up a pen and write down the right address??? and on a top of it, they r blaming it on me...) 2. the delivery was 20 minutes late. 3. i didnt get a confirmation call from them, even though i requested it. im in san francisco and i was sending the flowers to someone in houston. i wanted it to be perfect, but this delivery just ruined my day! thanks a lot... read more

The Guy from Flower City called me this morning and asked me the orchid my son ordered for me they don't have that color. The color they have is a little lighter between pink and purple. I said that's fine. The guy just delivered the orchid which is dying. I refused to accept the flower and asked the guy stay a little while let me take a picture of the orchid. The guy just ran away. I can't believe they deliver the dying orchid for my Mother's Day present from my son in Hong Kong. That's insult to me and ruin my Mother's Day. This shop deserve "ZERO" star! They charged $75.95 for the orchid, I would not even pay for a dime. If you order a flower from them, you deserve to get ripped off! read more

I was very specific with the order I placed. Not only was it not correctly done it also had flowers that were obviously not fresh. I called to discuss the matter and was told I needed to speak to the owner. A person representing themself as the owner told me that even though the arrangement had flowers that were not fresh (roses were brown) and they were told no vases and no carnations, which they disregarded, that I had to call within 24 hours. They are closed on Sunday. I asked the woman named Sarah if she was the owner and she then told me no. I asked she take a message and ask the owner to call. This was a bereavement arrangement and it was not acceptable nor was it made as per requested. I will never use them again. I think to offer to send a less valued arrangement out at a later time is still not acceptable. It was embarrassing and not professional. I am still waiting on the REAL owner to return my call. I tried today and was told that I would need to ask Sarah herself about not being the owner. A shotty business as far as I am concerned. BEWARE the order placed and then what is really made and received. read more

Ordered flowers for a friend with a new baby at local hospital. They delivered the wrong flowers on top of delivering the standard size when I paid of the deluxe size. Called to complain and they offered to pay me back the difference. I asked if he could do anything better, and he told me he could bring the correct flowers and pick up the wrong ones. "NO!" That's not cool considering she just has a baby and has no idea what is going on. Then I asked to talk to a manager and she offered to give me 20% back but I asked for more bc this was not my mistake ! She explained that she already paid the driver and that I would only be paying $10 for the arrangement and she didn't like that. Come on ! I'm in the customer service business and know that you have room for mistakes. Oh and then she said she could refund me the full amount and pick the flowers up!! Really?! This was not my fault! It was yours ! Anyway will never do business with them again and have told everyone I know in that area not to either read more

Cheats & liars! Total rip off! Do not use this flower shop. We ordered 12 bunches of baby's breath for my daughters' first communion. The manager named Sarah Dominguez told us they would be double the size and of better quality (the tiny flowers would be bigger) than the ones sold at the supermarket and that justified the price for each (which was double $16). When we picked them up, the bunches were exactly the same size as the ones at Kroger (we bought one to compare) and the flowers were smaller even when completely open! She refused to either give us a refund or add more to compensate for the size. Oh! And she added a bunch of the same brand as the ones they sell at kroger - it seemed like she ordered 11 and ran out to kroger to buy that extra one. We were furious and she kept talking (mind this was on the phone because she refused to come back to the store to face us), admitted she had not inspected the flowers and pretty much treated us like we were idiots and could not tell that she was ripping us off. Her repetitive lame excuses were completely rehearsed. And to add the cherry on top, as we were walking out, a lady stopped us to ask what had happened, we quickly explained and the lady showed us the corsage she had ordered and what she had actually received (a turd of course). So this is obviously a common occurrence here. Don't waste your money or time here. read more
