This is a great flower shop located at the corner of Fannin and Wentworth St. We were in the area after checking out Fannin Flowers across the street. I was looking to build a bouquet and wanted to pick my own stems. They have several different types of roses, lilies, chrysanthemums and other individual stems. The employees were quick to lead us to their area of the store with chilled, fresher flowers so we had even more options. We opted for a few different rose colors with baby's breath. The whole bouquet came out to around $15 pre-tax which is competitive with grocery store prices, but fresher and fun for the DIY aspect! We looked through the store and saw they have many plants available for purchase as well as pre-made bouquets and table arrangements, all reasonably priced. Pretty flowers and going in the fresh flower cooler is fun. Smells great! Prices not marked so they can charge whatever they want. Quoted one price for a dozen of tulips by a woman who asked a man. A different woman then rang us up and charged a different price. I told her we were told they were another price and she quickly swiped the card & said "plus tax". I told her she rang up a different price than we were quoted. She said "no they're this price". They need to get their pricing straight and honor their quoted prices. If I ever return, I will not purchase anything that doesn't have a price tag. Also, I don't like the moss they have in their orchids. I prefer the mulch-bark-style because it drains better and the orchids are happier in the mulch-bark-style. read more

I went to Fannin Flowers for a purple rose for my Valentine because my Valentine's favorite color is purple. I could not find one initially. Therefore, I chose a beautiful pink rose and took it to the counter to get wrapped. After I used the restroom, I returned to the counter to find a purple rose in a box. The pink rose would have cost nearly four dollars, while the boxed rose cost twenty-five dollars. However, the florist told me the boxed rose would last from nine months to a year, so it was a no-brainer to pay more for a flower that would last longer and be a more extended reminder of my feelings for my Valentine. Fannin Flowers had a wide assortment of flowers and arrangements, and the male florist was courteous, and I felt welcomed there. I would return, and my valentine loved the flower. read more

After years of being a loyal customer, this establishment no longer will be an option for future purchases. After seeking a specific flower, they only had 2 bunches in one color. I was going to purchase both bunches and noticed one lonely stem that was out of place and most likely will not be purchased. I asked if they could throw that one stem in (after all I was purchasing their last set of bunches) and the assistant was quick to respond with an unsure no. I was surprised and laughed at her demeanor. So Fannin Flowers decided to lose a customer of many years all over one lonely stem that most likely will be trashed or taken by that assistant. I'm so glad I walked out because I drove around the block to another flower shop (see my 5 star review of that business) and found more options for a nicer price! Good things come to those who are kind, and Fannin Flowers was not it. read more

My family has shopped at Fannin Flowers for years, and it is usually my last stop before heading to the cemetery to place flowers near a family gravesite. Most of the time, my orders are fairly simple, not complicated in the least. There are several other choices for florists within close proximity. What I like about this florist is: there is so much variety in terms of flora, greenery and arrangements. On my last visit, I just needed a small bouquet of carnations: pink, yellow and white. I would say coming here actually cheers me up, although heading to the cemetery is never easy. Inconsistent pricing. Rude customer service & didn't have the flowers I was looking for.

Negative -1 Star Disrespectful, Disengaged, and Deceptive Fannin Flowers came highly recommended, which made our experience even more disappointing. From the moment we walked in, we were ignored. We waited at the counter with no greeting, no acknowledgment--just two employees sitting idly nearby who never offered help or even tried to locate someone who could. Eventually, after mentioning the word funeral, someone pointed us to a set of binders with examples of arrangements. That was the magic word, apparently. Only then did we receive minimal attention to place our order. We selected an arrangement clearly priced at $250 in the binder. After a brief Q&A session out of our view, the clerk returned and casually informed us the price was now $500--with no explanation and no visual confirmation of what we were paying for. No transparency, just a steep upcharge. Throughout the process, staff responses were condescending and dismissive. They made assumptions about our intentions and offered no empathy or professionalism--especially unacceptable given the sensitive nature of our visit. Fannin Flowers may have a reputation, but based on our experience, it's built on smoke and mirrors. Their lack of customer service, disinterest in presentation, and shady pricing practices are deplorable. Businesses like this should be held accountable. Now you know. read more

While fixing something across the way she just looked at me , as I was just left standing at the counter. The lady doing nothing also left the counter. The man helping his present customer finished and then just started straightening things behind the counter, never looking at me standing RIGHT there. There was potted plants everywhere, no kind of organization. Cut flowers in buckets, cut flowers in the refrig. I didn't know who was working or who was looking. I finally did reach someone who was an employee and found some nice looking tulips for a cheap price, 12 bucks for 10 tulips. I got 2 sets. I looked around for a vase next and their options were limited but I did find something that was presentable. After purchase I was hoping for some information or some kind of arrangement help. NOPE. They are open 24/7 and are convenient. They have a wide assortment of fresh flowers and can arrange whatever you desire. I can't speak too much on the value or price point because I've never spent any money here. We usually come here after a night out on the town. I really like coming here when I need flowers in bulk. They have really pretty and reasonable arrangements that I've gotten before as gifts, but I usually come for bulk roses. They have really pretty, fresh roses that are $16.95 a dozen. However, they always have "sale" roses at $7.95 per dozen. These aren't the freshest, most gorgeous roses, but they are nice, full and pretty. They usually have several colors and styles to choose from and they actually wrap them up very nicely for you. If you are ever in the med center area and need flowers for any occasion or a plant or something this is the place to go. They have the largest selection of roses I have ever seen in one place. I was able to buy a gorgeous hydrangeas basket at 6am. (They never close). Although some of the case arrangements can be a bit pricey the prices are comparable to other flower shops. read more
