With the support of Smith Point Sea Rescue (SPSR), we conducted a ceremony at the site of the collision, which is in the Chesapeake Bay near the mouth of the Potomac River. The owner of Britt's Garden kindly provided a beautiful wreath with 11 red carnations to honor each of those who lost their lives and this wreath was placed over the side at the site of the collison. As it turns out, Jensee, the owner who made us the wreath, found out her grandfather, Petty Officer Ray Rogers, served on the Cuyahoga in WW2. With her help, we had her uncle and aunt and another family member join us today.

The Innerbloom owner is a great instructor and a completely lovely person. The shop is full of beautiful flowers, plants, pots, accessories, and top-quality gifts. And as we created our personal arrangements, we enjoyed floral-forward wines. The workshop fee was extremely reasonable and there were wines available for purchase as well as a 25% discount on everything in the shop for workshop participants. Someone sent a "Dish Garden" to us as a Sympathy plant and used the on-line service Ava's Flowers…read more Ava's flowers IS NOT a Florist, just an ordering service which takes a hefty percentage. What was ordered was Not Close to what this florist shop delivered. There was a clear picture on Ava's website of what should be included and missing was the Flowering plant (with matching bow) and the green plants weren't in a dish- just 4 green plants in tiny pots stuffed into a leftover Easter basket. (delivery was the week after Easter) The basket is warped on the bottom and does not even sit flat on the counter! This florist should be ashamed for what they delivered and should not be doing business with the Ava's Flowers group which is a scam!!! I have heard of others being fooled by this 'Sponsored' ad when a google search is done.
