Granted, I went in like an hour before close, but the guy that was working was so rude and just kept being like "what you want what you want what you want" as I'm trying to decide. Not only was he asking this every second, he also thought my ID was fake and kept my ID the whole time I was choosing what I wanted. I don't usually review places, but he caused the worst vibe I could've ever experienced at a shop. Prices are up the wazoo for no reason. Genuinely felt scammed both mentally and financially. You are better off driving the 30+ minutes for a shop that will actually assist you right.

They sell donated furniture and home goods, as well as jewelry, books, and games. Profits benefit a local Christian school. Because their inventory turns over so quickly and they get new items constantly, they can't hold items longer than COB that day. Several of the buildings have a theme which adds to the feeling that you have been transported to another century. HOWEVER... the only time I have tried to buy something there led to a pretty unpleasant outcome. I found a stack of old newspapers in the main house, and made an offer to the owner. He counter-offered. I looked around a bit more, and then told him I would pay the price he quoted me. Unfortunately, he then informed me that he had changed his mind; that the price he had given me was too low, and he would not sell them. I don't do business with people who don't stand by their word, and so I left. The bottom line is that Holly Hill is an incredible place to visit. However, if my experience is typical, it might explain the reason that the owner has accumulated so much stuff, and still has it.
