Mm yeah, mm yeah Need a little patience, yeah…read moreJust a little patience, yeah Some more patience, yeah (I've been walking the streets at night, just trying to get it right) A little patience, yeah*** Sorry guys! Lemme start this review! I was driving through White Stone, Va heading back to Norfolk and I noticed this interesting building and sign for Country Cottage in their parking lot. I whipped a u-turn and decided to check this place out. When you walk into this small establishment, you'll it split on the left side with floral arrangements that they sell, original Country Cottage products in the center, and a sweet tooth mecca on the right. I headed to the right when I walked in and met a sweet, patient young lady that greeted me. There is also another employee on the left side of the store through a serving window for the floral section. Country Cottage allows you to sample whatever you want no matter the volume!! I was blown away by that alone! I sampled 3 different ice cream flavors and 4 different fudge flavors!! I wanted to do more but another family came in during my last sample and I didn't want to be an inconsiderate twerp. I want to stress how patient the staff are while you're sampling. The young lady was not rushing me at all while I was thoroughly enjoying the samples. I chose a pint of the butter pecan flavored ice cream and it was delicioso! In the fudge department, I chose carrot cake, peanut butter chocolate, and apple pie. All of them were very sweet and tasted great. There is also outdoor seating with more plants that are outside should you choose to purchase some. Country Cottage makes several types of preserves in house and hot sauces. They make make more products, but I was too focused on the ice creams and fudge. If I'm in this area again, I'll definitely stop buy this wonderful business.

I need to specify that my disappointment is based upon the owner's approach to customer service,…read morenot the flower designer's work. Madi--the designer--created a beautiful bouquet and was very professional in her dealings with me. The owner (Emilie) however, was cold and unreasonable when my delivery went awry. The presentation that had been planned was ruined, when the flowers were delivered to the person we were trying to surprise, hours before anyone even knew if she would be successful at the milestone that we hoped to celebrate. Multiple times I contacted Smith's to ask whether they could offer me a partial refund, in acknowledgement of their mistake. The owner did not respond, despite having my contact information. When I did finally got her on the phone, she was defensive and took no responsibility for what had happened. I would be very hesitant to entrust her with an important family event, like a wedding or funeral.
