The cutest spot! My parents recently moved to Cloverdale and I've been exploring their new town…read morewith them the last few days. We came in for breakfast on a Saturday morning and they were definitely busy with a line out the door. Despite the crowd, all the staff members were welcoming and kind. No one seemed flustered or made us feel rushed. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a piece of apple crumb bread (gf), loaded cheesy toast with avocado, a peluche (stuffed crispy roll), and our coffees. My mom and I each had a lavender latte with oat milk. These were awesome! Rich and smooth with a hint of lavender, not overly sweet at all. My dad had a mocha that was also very tasty. The loaded cheesy toast was delicious and the presentation was better than what you get at most boutique cafes in SF or LA. The almond pesto absolutely makes this dish and the spicy mayo drizzle on top is the perfect kick to complement the melty cheese and creamy avocado. The peluche was very good as well-- flaky, crispy outside with roasted potatoes, scrambled egg, and cheese in the middle. You never know if the food is going to meet your expectations when a kitchen is busy on a weekend morning, but it was all tasty and nicely presented. Apple crumble was also stellar! This is the kind of local coffee shop everyone hopes to have in their hometown. Will definitely be going back here with my parents whenever I'm in town for a visit! :)

I stopped by yesterday afternoon before closing and ordered a Cinnabang and the last blueberry…read moremuffin. The Cinnabang is a house specialty drink with espresso, sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon. (The Bangkok is apparently very similar, but without the cinnamon, which I enjoyed.) Now, I love blueberry muffins in general, but this one was next level! It was packed with fruit and, while I'd recommend at least one wet wipe or napkin, it's worth the mess. I had to check and, sure enough, they make them in house, like all of their baked goods. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and a generous portion, obviously still fresh. While I didn't catch the staff's names, they were all friendly, helpful and welcoming. The place felt warm and inviting, yet unpretentious. I hadn't been to downtown Cloverdale since my childhood, but this brief visit made me want to return soon! Charm and comfort food with reasonable prices too! Yes please! The whole block where Plank is located has boutiques and restaurants. Lots to see and explore and worth return visits.

If this spot is good enough for the NY Times to name it one of the best bakeries in the nation,…read moreit's good enough for you. All the pastries we had were A+ and worth it. Everything we ordered was exceptional. The Veggie Quiche was thicker than a textbook, custardy and light. I ordered a Marzipan Berry Scone for a friend that I took home and they loved it. There's plenty of seating and four of us chatted forever. The acoustics are great, there are water pitchers to stay hydrated, and if I lived here this would be a favorite spot no contest. My only regret is that I didn't leave with a Challah. Tip these beautiful beloved bakers well. And stop complaining about excellence.

Quail and Condor drew my attention to the radiant reviews they bring in. I finally was able to make…read moremy way over there to see what this place was all about. When you walk in, there is a lot of open space and the inside felt comfortable. There was an open and flowing environment. That was great! So, where did it go wrong? The prices were just sky rocketed into another dimension. $7 a muffin and $7 a scone. I seem to have much better luck at the Farmers Market for less. I get it, there is a fancy building that needs to be paid for. Don't come here for dairy free option if you're looking for something in the sweet and savory department. There are GF options but those are still rittled and laced with butter and dairy. Like, bread is your only choice if you're dairy free. The gentlemen that helped me told me to get a loaf of bread. So I did. $12. I went with the Rosemary, olive oil and sea salt focaccia bread. The good news is, it was nice and soft like an Air b n b pillow. The bad news is, it had more salt than the ocean. With copious amounts of olive oil saturated the bag before I left the parking lot (see attached pic). My husband was not a fan either and we left the loaf of bread out for the pigeons.

Absolutely worth it! Excellent coffee, freshly made baked pastries/bread and a great sandwich…read more Shame on me for not taking any pictures! Found this place while researching for places to visit for my road trip up north. The reviews were not wrong. Definitely call ahead to reserve the morning buns! I didn't listen to the reviews and missed out but the rest of their items were delicious. We ordered: A lemon pound cake - light flavor of lemon which is preferred in my family. A pink concha - fresh and I loved how much sugar topping it had! I always feel places don't put enough (it's my fav part) so this one is one of my favorites. Pecan coffee cake - my family could not get enough of this. Kalamata Olive bread - how could we not try their fresh bread! And trust, it did not disappoint. Mississippi pot roast sandwich - "spectacular! Gimmie 14 of 'em"....was a little skeptical about the pepperoncini part of it but it actually gives it such a good flavor and little heat that was just right. Coffee - excellent Mocha - another favorite! loved how balanced it was and not overly sweet. Super friendly service! Inside was clean and charming. Looked exactly like the pictures inside and out. Definitely would recommend and definitely will be coming back again!

Okay y'all, in all seriousness, this is truly the best bakery I have ever been to in the entirety…read moreof my time on Earth. Straight up phenomenal, yo. Specifically, I would recommend the sticky buns and sourdough. I have literally never had better sourdough bread in my entire life. Also, this place was started by and is completely run by women, which is super cool. It has any necessities you may need on your trip as well, because it doubles as a lil bit of a convenience store. But a super cute, quaint, and well run one. The people working there are so nice, and the saltwater taffy is to DIE for. And the store itself is adorable. I would recommend ordering ahead if you are planning on going later in the day, though, because they do run out. But really, going, even if it's out of your way, would not be a mistake. It's worth it. I promise. And remember, THE SOURDOUGH. Truly something out of this world. Sorry for the long review, but Bobby Yoe is very passionate about this place. He really does love it. Words can't all the way explain it, but this place just feels like magic. Something out of a storybook. 10/10. Totes adorbs. Bobby Yoe OUT. P.S. Bobby Yoe hasn't been to Twofish for a while, and last time he went it was before his dope Yelp journey started. Because of this, he had no pics in his phone from it, but he still wanted to include some. These pics are from the internet.
