Everyone is very professional and the practice is absolutely spotless. Even though we've moved about 30 minutes away from this practice, we still make the drive to come here. Dr. Kumar is also wonderful, he truly cares about his patients and really spends time with you (even for a general cleaning). Definitely the best dentist we've had! But she took my call and had me laughing in no time, which really helped because I was in so much pain. A little backstory, my braces were removed in 2021. A year later, my permanent retainer was moving my teeth. My orthodontist took full blame and put braces on the bottom of my teeth to correct them. The process was finished in April. Well, the left side of my head and face became very painful. The orthodontist said the retainer mold was wrong and replaced that... Fast forward, I moved to Texas, and now I'm at the doctor's because my face is swollen, and on to the Berkeley Eye Center. I'll spare you the rest. So now, I have the kindest woman named Sherri on the phone, who I consider a friend now. She told me to come on in, she'll send the paperwork through email, and she'll see me at two. She didn't stop there; once I got there and finished the exam, I thought I had to come back for them to put the proper braces on. Nope, Sherri said we can do the braces today, and they did! Highlands Dental charged a fair amount to have a crown put on a molar. The dentist explained what she was doing and why and did a wonderful job. They charged me $90 for a 3D scan to supposedly help them with the "free consultation" even though…read moreI told them I did not need a 3D scan as I had provided them with the most current x-rays from my dentist. I was there for a free consultation but agreed to pay. The consultation lasted maybe 10mins, but they never looked at the 3D model but rather focused on the x-rays I provided them. It turns out the 3D model is only useful for when they are making dentures - what I waste of money. But what is more disturbing is that they suggested a whole mouth reconstruction which involved removing all the upper teeth. I challenged them on this and the response I got was that this is what the latest literature suggests. I know my teeth are not that bad, so I decided to get additional assessments from two other periodontists that are close by. Quite literally these other periodontists laughed at the idea of a full mouth reconstruction saying it was not necessary at all, and would be a complete waste of time, money and pain. So needless to say, I have chosen to go to one of these professionals. In summary lifetime dental propose extreme treatments that are not necessary, rather than provide a fair and frank assessments - obviously it means more money for them and more money out of your pocket. Secondly, shop around - there are so many good implant options in the area that will give you no hassle and free consultations - do some homework ahead of time so you have questions ready.

I was placed in the room to wait for the Dentist. I believe her name is Ana took about 25 minutes+ to come to the room. The dental assistant kept coming to check on me due to such a long wait, mind you I had a 7am appt. I had to ask the front desk how much longer due to me having to go to work. Dentist comes in, spends 5 minutes then denies my cleaning, which my insurance covers. This will be my first and last time at Castle Dental unfortunately, I was not please with the Dentist and her lack of punctuality. I didn't leave that appt till 8:30 and all I did was x-rays and the dentist looked at my teeth for 5 minutes.
