Since then I've never taken my computer concerns anywhere but Jafferson Computer. They've dealt in similar fashion with hardware issues and with software issues. Their results are excellent and the price is perfect, because their approach is efficient, and intelligent, and prudent, and because their expertise and experience is deep. Recently they again excelled. They solved several similar but not identical operating-system problems in a pair of wonderful older Asus Windows 10 laptops: the fraternal twins Asus1 and Asus2. They were bought a month apart and are nominally the same exact model--but actually are not. Comparing the slight differences in the responses of the 'twins' helped Luke to analyze and diagnose. This sort of thing is why they're the best. Plus Mateen and Luke and anyone who has worked there are nice people.

Next time I need a repair, I'll have to try somewhere else because this place is CRAZY expensive. I paid $150 just for them to figure out what the solution was. That fee is not applied to what you pay for the actual repair should you decide to have them fix it like it would at a car repair place; it's just $150 to have them tell you what's wrong. They then quoted me $250 to reinstall windows and fix a broken hinge. I was iffy but said yes partially due to the sunken cost of the diagnosis and mostly because they promised me they would be able to upgrade my laptop to Windows 11, which the laptop had been telling me was not possible. So this seemed somewhat worth it to me to have them do. I went to pick up the fixed laptop, and immediately noticed that they had to drill totally new screw holes into it to install the new hinge. It looks pretty bad, but I'm really not picky about aesthetics so I let it go. But then they started it up to show me it was working, and I cannot even explain how INCREDIBLY slow it was as they tried to use it. Like, Windows 98 was faster than this thing was running, and I had previously never had any speed issues with it. I said something along the lines of how disappointed I was that I had now spent $400 and honestly couldn't even realistically use the laptop anymore. They offered to just install Windows 10 again instead, but like I said, the main reason I decided to pay all that money was because they assured me they could upgrade it to Windows 11. So they ended up refunding me for the repairs (I'm still out the diagnosis fee) and wiped the laptop and gave it back to me. After going home and doing some research on my own, I was able to reinstall Windows 10 on my own in about a half hour for $10. I cannot believe they were going to charge me almost $200 to do that!!! My laptop is now working exactly as it did before, and I learned my lesson.

JCM just did it again. The first time we worked with them it was an e-commerce website built on a…read moreMagento platform (see my previous review). This time it was a lead generation Wordpress website. After we had amazing results with JCM on Paragon Stairs we made the unanimous decision to proceed with JCM on a redesign for Paragon's sister company, Salter Spiral Stair (http://www.salterspiralstair.com ). In fact, after seeing the results of the new Paragon website, the Salter sales team practically begged us to use the same web design company for their website! As the Marketing Manager of a medium sized business one of my responsibilities is to keep our brands ahead of the curve on the web. That responsibility covers everything from Google rankings, to sales lead qualification to making sure our website functions well across all devices (desktop, mobile and tablet). After the Paragon design we realized that Salter was in need of a fresh new web presence so we once again turned to JCM for the solution. JCM literally brought the Salter Spiral Stair website out of the year 2011 and positioned it for 2015 and beyond. JCM created a new, deliciously responsive website that looks great on all devices. This project was a lot of fun to work on. As I mentioned in my previous review, Jeff is the strongest Project Manager I have ever worked with. He's talented across multiple web disciplines and his area of expertise isn't limited to one area. Jeff made some excellent recommendations on website copy, design elements and more. In addition to Jeff, I was also introduced to Erik who is the new Design Director at JCM. This guy Erik..he's very, very good. He has a sharp eye for great design and all you need to do is look at our new site to see how talented he is. I know it sounds like I am just raving about these guys but our results have, once again, been amazing. If i were to convey three key things about JCM I would say the following: 1. They literally out-care their competition. Example: I made a mistake during the design process. I left out one CRUCIAL page of the new site that we used to have on our old site. The old site had a page that our Sales team used during their online web meetings with clients and I forgot to tell Jeff that we needed that page. I didn't realize we left it out until literally an hour after launch. I called Jeff in a little bit of a panic and explained to him the problem. I think I called him as he was walking into the JCM office and within 5 minutes he had gone to our old website, ripped the old page content and images and then they literally added the new page to our site that night...Yeah, they care. Second Example: So we launched the website and then the day after they were still making tweaks. These weren't fixes, they were just tweaks to improve the design even more. I would refresh the page and see another improvement. Refresh the page and another improvement would pop up (without any suggestions from us). These guys make life easy for a Marketer! 2. JCM's design serves a purpose. If it didn't serve a purpose, then it'd just be art. Example: JCM's team has a nice mix of design savvy and business acumen. In both of our projects with JCM they were able to incorporate ecommerce elements (in the case of Paragon) and lead gen elements (in the case of Salter) into their design. We launched Salter mid-week with JCM and set a new record in leads by end of week. The proof is in the results and metrics. 3. JCM is small enough that they were able to work intimately with us on the project, but ultimately talented enough to drive the results that we needed. Example: I was able to work directly with their Design Director, Erik, on the Salter website (almost everyday). Enough said. As you can tell, I'm drinking the JCM kool-aid. These guys are the real deal. I'll finish my review the same way that I finished my previous review, please feel free to contact me on the Salter line 1 (800) 368-8280 or email me at reece@salterspiralstair.com if you want anymore insight into how JCM operates and the results that we've had.

He had his phone glued to his hand, constantly checking it for something seemingly more important than my companies business. When I sat in the meeting space, which looks more like a frat boys living room, I noticed a board displaying the companies other clients with what I am assuming are contractual prices next to them. Most of the prices were in the $12,000 to $25,000 range. When I received my proposal for the project from the owner, it was clear he was trying to take advantage of me. His quote was astronomically high compared to the other quotes I obtained from various other local companies. The quote was also very high compared to what I saw on his client board. After doing a little more research on this company and their prior projects, I decided not to work with them.
